[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A little goes a long way with this stuff. It has the best lather. The smell is STRONG I can smell it all day when I move. It smells expensive like my grandmother's expensive creams or like I'm in a salon but it isn't my favorite sent to catch all day long. My hair feels stronger and shinier but lacks a lot of it's usual volume. I think it will be a more 1x a week shampoo rather than everyday.

Great Shampoo For Working Out

I work out and my scalp and hair get sweaty. This shampoo is great for balancing your scalp especially if you use other products like dry shampoo. I use this shampoo a couple times a week followed by my regular shampoo (Premiere)

I have used this shampoo a couple of times and that was enough for me to know that it is very good at taking care of my hair, since it hydrates it, gives it shine, protects my color by preventing it from fading and of course it is helping me repair damage because of the dryness. Bain Chroma still good

I have always loved this collection and even with the reformulation it is still very good. I just don’t like the scent at all. It’s too strong. I only use it occasionally. I miss the old version. I absolutely loved it!! I wish I had stocked up before this new one came out.

Made my scalp itchy and flaky

I was really excited to try this brand. However, it made my scalp very itchy and flaky. I’ve never had dandruff in my life, but after using this shampoo for a few months my scalp is extremely itchy. It gave me a rash that lasted for a couple of weeks and I’m not allergic to anything. Very disappointed as now I have to deal with a dandruff.

Live by this stuff!

I've tried many shampoos and conditioners and love most of them. However, me and my daughter have two different types of hair but both of us have issues with oily hair on top yet dry scalps, my daughter even more so. So when I need something that balances us both out I go back to this for a bit. It smells so lovely and is so lightweight, not drying, and our hair looks and feels so fresh and clean afterwards.

Amazing miracle shampoo!

I love this shampoo for my color treated hair! When I ran out and had to use cheap stuff again after using this for so long, I quickly realized how well it really works! The cheap stuff made my hair color fade so much faster despite saying it was for color-treated hair. I was so happy when my reorder came in the mail of this. It's lightweight, makes my hair feel fully clean and protects my color. I seriously feel fresh out of the salon after using it. I do occasionally get oily scalp and this helps lessen that for longer in between washes too

This product is bad, not only did i not see any benefits it made my hair flat, unmanageable, not to mention the amount of money i spent on it (and the conditioner). I should have stayed with the Resisitance line - way better results

SAVE YOUR MONEY

I am a licensed cosmetologist that previously worked at a salon that used Kerastase. I was told it was the best and from what I had seen it do to people's hair of all hair types I was impressed. I purchased it myself and have been using it for a little over a year now. My scalp has been itchy, flaky/dry, and irritated. I switched everything over to Kérastase, including all products, a few months back thinking it was my other products. All this time it has been Kerastase. I have tried the nutritive shampoo, the chroma absolu/riche, resistance, and genesis. I really wanted to like it so I literally tried so many of their shampoos with multiple bottles. For as expensive as this product is I would not expect this reaction on my scalp. I noticed as I was reading other reviews online that multiple people have experienced the same thing sadly.

This shampoo has strengthened my fine textured hair and kept it healthy. I noticed some frizzing early on, but my hair can be a little dry in the first place. Using a hydrating mask every other week and a leave in conditioner every few washes resolved the issue. Overall, great product!

Chroma respect gave my fine wavy locks new life

Been a long time Kerastase customer since my stylist introduced me to their resistance line. That line helped minimize my split ends & mostly repair damage to my mid-length fine, wavy hair. Hair still always felt frizzy, dull and meh. When I changed my color from ash brown (with a lot of gray roots) to deep red, I bought the shampoo & conditioner from the Chroma Absolu line and was initially underwhelmed. It dried my ends & made my hair frizzier than ever! I was about to toss them and try other brands (none worked), so I gave them another try (and this time followed the instructions, shampooed scalp & mids 2x and used conditioner only on ends) and for the first time in my life, my hair felt so clean, shiny and vibrant! I kept running my hands through my hair bc it’s never felt this smooth and soft and healthy! Love this line and so happy to have found my shampoo soulmate :)

Excellent every day shampoo

I have tried numerous shampoos from this line and while all are good, the Bain Riche Chroma Respect is best for my type of hair. I have natural curls, highlights & lowlights, and dryness at the ends. Just turning 65 years old, aging is a concern. It works well for every day shampooing and smells great!

Refectlion vs Respect

Terrible formula. Smells bad and does not provide the silky shiny results that rhe Reflection line does. This is not a replacement for the best formula ever. It seems that someone decided to chePen the product line. Reflection is the best product ever and is now gone. It left my hair silky, shiny and soft. Extremely disappointed and a long time customer has been lost. Do Not Recommend!

This is not a replacement for Kerastase Reflection

Bain Riche Chroma Respect dried my hair out and made my balyage highlights crispy. I had become hooked Reflection line on a cruise ship and when I ran out I discovered that it had been replaced by the Chroma line. Reflection was the best line I had ever used and I am beyond disappointed that you no longer make it. I have done a deep dive into all lines at Kerastase to find a similar product. So far my next choice is the Nutritive line - and if that does not work I will try Discipline - after that I will give up.

Auto reorder

I ordered this shampoo over a year ago and was somehow signed up for a subscription. My reorder went through this morning and as soon as I saw the charge I called to cancel it. There were no emails telling me that my auto renew was coming up so I could cancel before the shampoo was ordered. The company’s policy is that once a order is placed it cannot be modified. So now I need to wait to get the shampoo and return it for my refund.

Absolute Best!

Not blessed in the hair department. My bangs become oily quite soon after a shampoo, yet my ends are dry and tend to split. I have tried every lux brand and the bargain brands as well. This is the HOLY GRAIL. I use a tiny bit of conditioner on the ends. Perfection!

Does not help my scalp produce less oil.

The shampoo does a good job at cleansing and removing any buildup as it has quite strong cleansing power. However, I don't notice any difference in my oily scalp production. My scalp still produces as much oil compared to other shampoos. Within 8 hours since shampooing, I already notice that oil has been accumulated on my scalp.

Not working for me

I normally love Kerastase products and usually use their Discipline line. However, a month ago I decided to try the Chroma line since I'd just gotten my hair colored. Like other reviewers have mentioned, this one really makes my hair feel greasy, and it's just flat with no shine. I'll go back to the Discipline line.

Retain color and softness

This and the Nutritive Bain Satin Riche shampoo are the only shampoos I use for my red, thick and sometimes coarse hair. As I age, my red hair is fading, so when I do get a color boost, this shampoo is the best to soften my hair and retain its color. Don't know what I do without the hair color protection products from Kerastase!
