So Worth It!

The scent is very pleasant and not too strong. Great consistency of product. I love that it contains rice water for hydration. The frequency is important because you need to make sure to leave in hair for five minutes for it to work because just applying it and washing it off right away won’t give the conditioner enough time to soak into your hair.

One of the very best conditioners I have ever used and I’ve used thousands. I felt a difference after just one use. My hair felt absolutely smooth and was shiny. This along with it’s partner shampoo will be my products for on now on. I recommend this conditioner and shampoo for anyone with thick coarse and a tendency to be dry and have split ends. Fabulous gift idea!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked pretty bottle, sleek design, convenient pump, and it did leave my hair smelling very nice. Though I had to use a lot, as my hair just kept drinking up every last bit of it. the consistency wasn't as thick and nourishing as I was expecting and had somewhat of a thinner texture. To add, I tried this several ways, with/without the complementing shampoo, and had equally the same good results. The bottom line, despite the thinner consistency, my hair was nourished nicely and did seem to hold a lot of moisture. My hair is soft and shiny, and my blowouts look beautiful. I didn't hate it but I'm not sure it justified the price point on its own. However, while I wouldn't solely purchase the conditioner for myself on its own, I would purchase the entire system as a gift! It's an excellent gift idea!

The scent is horrible

I wish shu uemura would release a fragrance-free collection. The products are great for my hair but their fragrance choices are awful. I wouldn’t mind the smell of baby powder meets Play-doh if it didn’t stay in my hair after showering. Their conditioner with bergamot oil was fantastic because the fragrance didn’t stay with you! I wish the company would bring back that conditioner or simply release a collection that doesn't use fragrance.

I apply the Izumi Tonic conditioner after I've shampoo my hair, I do two pumps on the bottom half of my hair and leave it for 5 minutes then rinse it off. My hair feels nourished and I have noticed way less hair fall. It also smells really good, light and fresh not overwhelming at all. I think the whole treatment shampoo, conditioner and hair serum leave your hair feeling healthy and tames frizz without a greasy feeling. (I received this product in exchange for an honest review)

Good daily conditioner for dry hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have fine, wavy, dry hair. I found this conditioner to be thick and moisturizing. Definitely better than drugstore brands. Not as moisturizing as deep conditioners. For me, it's a great option for regular washing. My friend with fine curly found it to mapke her hair shiny and soft. For her this is a negative, because it was smooth to create texture and fullness in her curls. It's definitely a good option for dry hair, but maybe not those with fine curls. I don't think there's anything phenomenal about the product to justify the price. I personally find briogeo better and it's not quiteas expensive.

Smoothing and excellent detangling conditioner!

It's fantastic for detangling and makes my hair feel smooth like a waterfall already in the shower when using it and rinsing it off. Once I dry my hair it looks and feels much healthier! It's soft, smooth and shiny. No trace of the damage caused by me bleaching my hair every couple of months. Even flyaways and frizzy strands are completely tamed. Quality Moisturizing Hair Care

When I tried it for the first time, I felt the bottle size was sleek and it would last a while. Using the conditioner was easy for dispensing and the application was seamless. A little bit of conditioner went a long way. I didn't notice a strong scent either which is ok and I don't have a preference. Hydration and healing

Magic in a bottle!

Nice formula,overwhelming scent

I have textured hair so I was a little skeptical on how it would do on my curls but I was pleasantly surprise on how hydrated and defined my curls were after applying this in. My hair feel nourished!

Absolutely Wonderful

I have color treated hair and it is a bit fragile from all the styling. Well this conditioner has strengthened, moisturized and thickened my hair, while leaving it silky and super shiny. The more I use, the better my hair feels with each wash. It has a pleasant smell and is not heavy, it rinses out leaving your hair smooth and strong

Leaves hair soft moisturized and manageable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to sample the Shu Uemura Art of Hair - Sampling Shu Uemura Izumi Tonic Shampoo, Conditioner, and Serum. First of all I love the scent of all 3 products. I was also excited to try this combo because it contains rice water and I know that rice water does really good on my hair type. For reference I have dry damaged hair. I've been on a natural hair care journey for years now so I usually do a lot of wash and go styles. So when I purchase a conditioner it has to be a conditioner that not only cleanses my hair but something that makes my hair soft, easy to detangle, and keeps my hair tamed til my next wash. These products did that! My natural curly/wavy hair was really soft, smells so good, detangles real easy and my hair was easy to style naturally after it was dried. plus easy to comb, did not look greasy. I used the serum every other day just to keep it more moisturized, detangle everyday and just because I love the softness these products make my hair feel. I don't know but I haven't felt my hair like this in a LOOOONG TIME!!! Ive been using products for yrs on my hair and my hair was still dry amd limp. It was sooo annoying! I'm pretty sure it's the ingredients on these products that are working wonders on my hair. Overall I recommend the combo of the Shu Uemura Izumi Tonic Shampoo, Conditioner, and Serum. Especially if u have textured hair, dry hair and damaged hair. I can honestly say it's "NATURAL HAIR GIRL APPROVED" Very good products. Thank You So Much for helping my hair.

Perfect for my niece and not me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free sample of the Shu Uemura Izumi Tonic Conditioner. It seemed okay until it caused itchiness and irritation. My niece also used and didn't have a reaction. It made her hair feel silky and smooth. I ended up given her the Shu Uemura Izumi Tonic Shampoo, Conditioner, and Serum since it didn't effect her and she washed her hair in it once a week.

Good compliment to the shampoo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the first time I've used a Shu Uemura hair product and I enjoyed it. This is a nice, simple conditioner that pairs very well with the shampoo. It's very lightweight and doesn't leave any heaviness or residue, but conditions, smooths and fortifies the hair well. The fragrance on the conditioner is much lighter and more subtle than the shampoo. I do feel this is meant to be used as a system to get the full effect, but I did feel my hair was thicker, stronger and held hairstyles longer because of that extra texture.

Provides Fullness but Not For Me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using the shampoo, I was excited about the conditioner, but it was not for my hair type (coarse and dry). Right away I thought the conditioner felt very thick and I had a hard time working it through my ends. After the first wash, I did like the results and thought my hair looked healthier and smoother. Two more subsequent washes (days apart from each other) and that feeling disappeared. My hair definitely looked more voluminous, but in more of a lion's mane way in that it was frizzy and hard to tame rather than in a supermodel way. I think this product targets someone with much finer hair rather than those looking to reverse damaged ends.

Full and Thick, Smells Like a Dream

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a curly haired girl I am always looking for a conditioner that is moisturizing enough to hydrate my natural hair texture and help form my ringlets so when BzzAgent gifted this product free in exchange for my honest review I was excited to give this a try. This was my first experience with Shu Uemura hair products but from the first week of use I was satisfied with this conditioner. The scent is fresh, light and creamy and the texture is just right-not overly thick but not thin in the least. I used two pumps of product for my mid back length hair and left it on for about 5 minutes. It easily rinsed clean and did leave my hair feeling somewhat hydrated but I would not be able to comb through my hair to set my curls without using a leave-in conditioner (which I always use). I just used a half pump of this on my soaking wet hair and the issue was solved. This conditioner in conjunction with the Izumi shampoo and serum , left my natural curls feeling light and airy- not weighed down; with the rice water ingredient I know my hair and scalp are being protein treated and repaired. After just the first use I felt like I did see the illusion of fuller thicker hair!

It's a no for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received IZUMI TONIC CONDITIONER for free in exchange for my review. The smell is so unpleasant & very strong & lingers long after rinsed off. It is very high priced & it didn't make my hair feel any softer, thicker, more shiny, or any softer than any drug store conditioner has. My hair was left with an awful smell & felt weight down & heavy. It didn't feel greasy but looked "dirty" I can't real describe it never had that issue before.
