Bain Après-Soleil is a color protecting shampoo designed for people with color-treated and sun damaged hair looking for UV hair protection .
This color protecting shampoo has an innovative formula that compensates for the drying effects of UV rays, salt water and chlorinated water which all damage hair. Offering UV hair protection with it's Photo-Defense filter, it leaves hair moisturized, and gives hair a soft feel and shine. All while protecting sun damaged hair from getting more damaged and losing moisture due to harmful UV rays. Even in the most active days of summer, this color protecting shampoo provides UV hair protection for sun damaged hair to feel beautiful, radiant and moisturized.
- Apply the shampoo to wet hair after sun-exposure, massage gently.
- Rinse thoroughly.
Perform two shampoos before applying Masque Après-Soleil.

Best for summer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love Kérastase Bain Après Soleil Shampoo and the other products from this line. Living in FL I’m out at the beach, pool, gardening….and this is awesome for hair exposed to sun, beach salt water and sand, pool chlorine, humidity and sweat. While using Soleil line I blow dry my hair and buy also allow it to air dry and hair always feels and looks amazing. The entire Soleil line is absolutely fantastic!

Bring Back the Original!
A few years back this shampoo was white and opaque. It was SO much better. My absolute favorite. This new formula is nowhere near as rich and it leaves my hair feeling stripped. Please bring back the old formula. So disappointed it was discontinued.

Atypical beach product smell
I do not care for the smell of this shampoo. It doesn’t smell like coconut or anything beachy. Whatever the scent is, it is overpowering. It also leaves my hair feeling dry.

Just okay
I thought it smelled fine. Tried my best to use it sparingly but sometimes had to add a little more to lather. I didn’t notice a huge difference. Maybe a slight retention in my highlights than when I use other shampoos but it’s too expensive for the lack or results

Amazing
I'm middle-aged with dry, frizzy hair and tried this on a whim. It smells lovely and the next morning after using it fit the first time my hair was so soft and way less frizz. I'm hooked. And it's not even summer. :)

Wonderful for salt water drenched locks
I bought this shampoo and conditioner specifically for after surfing to help nourish my hair from the tangled mess it is after 2 hours or so in the ocean. I was surprised that the shampoo alone almost feels like a conditioner. Usually shampoos strip my hair from moisture, and I rely on the conditioner to soften it. The shampoo alone felt silky in my hair. Oddly enough I use more shampoo but less conditioner with this line. I love it.
