Great but stinks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] THE SMELL😍😍😍 the first thing I noticed was how amazing this smelled! It smells like Sprite, like lemon-lime and I know that may not be a win with everyone but for me, I love it! I’ve used it about 4 times now, for both of my shampoos and I really like the texture. I don’t feel like it weighs my hair down since I have fine hair that’s something I worry about but I don’t feel that way with this. I also have color treated hair and I haven’t noticed any color fading either which is also a top priority for me. It is pretty concentrated so you don’t need a lot so I do like that because I feel like it will last a while. However, it is a little pricey for me, I don’t know if I’m going to repurchase just for that alone, but overall I have been really enjoying this shampoo!

Salon quality shampoo experience at home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pleasantly surprised by this product. The bottle is sleek, and uniquely shaped with a flip-top lid. Has a nice, light scent. Nothing overpowering. A little goes a long way, as it forms up a bit once you apply to your hair and start washing. It has a menthol cooling/tingling effect, but very mild. Hair feels sqeaky clean when rinsed. I do feel like i need to go heavy on the conditioner after because my hair feels pretty dry. Once I dry and style my hair, it feels nice and soft, and fuller. It gives my otherwise fine, limp hair, a bit of texture and "oomph". I use a blow dryer and straightening iron on my hair, and with this product my hair looks fuller and healthier and my split ends are not nearly as noticeable.

High quality spa feel

Their products are always really high quality and clearly have good ingredients, so it's more of a question of does it work for your individual hair type of not. It smells expensive and like a spa, and works really well for my straight thin hair. My only issue is that even after double cleansing, by the end of the night my hair was feeling a little oily. One spritz of dry shampoo solved it immediately, but it's worth noting. I will still happily use it daily since it made my hair look silky smooth with no fly aways.

Nice and lathery

Very effective

The consistency was just right, it was clear and being my hair longer than my waist I still used a little over a quarter sized amount and it lathered up well. It wasn’t real foamy, but it lathered, and it was easy to rinse as well and the scent was amazing but, not overpowering. Perfect shampoo for “baby hair”

Recently, in desperation, I consulted an expert and trust-worthy stylist in Paris. Her first comment as she fingered my fine, thin (and thinning) hair was “baby hair. You have baby hair”. A spot-on diagnosis. She recommended this shampoo and I ordered it as soon as I returned to the US. I’ve used it about 4 times and am very pleased. It cleanses thoroughly and rinses out easily. I don’t know if my hair is getting stronger but . . . my fingers are crossed.

Fabulous gift idea!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First the bottle. I found the bottle kind of awkward to hold and dispense with wet hands in the shower. I found myself wishing it came in the same bottle with the pump dispenser that the conditioner did. I don't know why the company chose to only give the conditioner a pump dispenser. Though I know sulfurs are necessary to breakdown oils and buildup in the hair, I was disappointed to see them present in the ingredients list here. A little did go a long way, as a silver dollar-sized drop in my palm did suds my mid-back length hair up quite a bit. My hair smelled nice and felt soft for a few days. As with the conditioner and thickening serum, I wouldn't purchase this on its own for myself as it just seems to be an unnecessary luxury purchase, but I would absolutely recommend the entire Izumi Tonic system as a gift. In fact, I just purchased for a friend who just had a baby and mentioned that her hair was thinning! I'm excited to give it to her!

The shampoo had plenty of suds and rinsed out of my hair well leaving it feeling clean but not weighed down. I followed the shampoo with the Izumi Tonic Mask conditioner and Izumi Tonic Serum to get the maximum benefits. My hair felt healthy and conditioned and also had more texture to it. My husband commented several times while I used these products (unbeknownst to him) that my hair looked good - thicker. Other "repairing" products I've tried seem to make my hair feel limp and weighed down - this was a surprising change. Solid shampoo, doesn't do everything it says

Made my hair super dry

Love this shampoo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo is my new favorite. It smells so good. A light citrus smell like a day spa. It lathers very well. My hair since I've been using it the past couple weeks has drastically improved! It's shiny and silky. I will buy again! Highly recommended. Very nice luxurious packaging. Sleek and modern look.

Powerful cleanser

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo is incredibly concentrated. It is very similar to a clarifying shampoo in texture and feel in the hair. I'm have not noticed any reduction in hair loss, but my fine hair strands do feel thicker when using this with the conditioner and serum. I am not sure if it is color safe, but I suspect it is not. If it were, I would consider repurchasing this product.

Transforms your hair and smells amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this tonic shampoo in conjunction with the serum and the mask. It really thickened up and strengthened my hair. An added bonus is that it smells absolutely amazing! Sometimes hair products have instructions that can be confusing but these were easy to follow and easy to use. Over just a short period of time I noticed a difference. This shampoo truly felt like a luxury top-of-the-line product. She Uemura Art of Hair products are distinctly reliable and praise-worthy!

So Far So Good

The packaging is nice and sleek although I wish there was more in the bottle for the price. The scent is pleasant enough and does not seem to hang around long. Smells amazing

The shampoo did leave my hair a little dry and squeaky, I don't know if that's a good thing. I used the conditioner & serum too, after drying my hair feels soft. I would use the shampoo with conditioner

Fresh scent and hair feels fabulous

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to try this product with my pre-teen daughter who's always had sparse and thin hair. But I also tried it so that I could provide a thorough review. First of all, my daughter's fine thin hair was smoother and more manageable and it just looked better. The scent of this product on my hair is wonderful, but it's not heavy and long lasting like a perfume. It just smells clean and wonderful and my hair feels smooth and glossy.

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] izumi tonic strengthening shampoo First I have to say that I was pretty excited to try these products I've heard from several people and research I've done about rice water and I know it's excellent for your hair. After trying the shampoo for a few weeks I can say that I am pretty impressed. I have very fine hair and by the second day of washing my hair it's usually oily but with this shampoo it was not the case. My hair was shiny but not oily also loved the scent.

Great product

So I dont feel it gives that good bubbling wash you like to make sure its washing good. But after trying it for 2 week i will say i can go a few days without washing my hair and my hair smells so great. but after the 3rd day my hair do starts to look a bit thin.

I like this shampoo so far

I am not sure how it is helping with thickening, but I look forward to seeing results with continued use. The smelled kind of reminds me of baby powder, which isn't my favorite.. but it's not too bad.

Super soft hair

I love how little i needed to use to wash my hair. I do not like the smell however. It smells to me like baby powder and very strong rose scent. If it smelt more like coconut or basically anything not rose I would have given this a 5 star.

It's working well!

This shampoo didn't really curtail the breakage, but it did make my hair look fuller after use and so my thinning hair wasn't as noticeable. I hope with continued usage I can make my hair healthier.

This shampoo is ok

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first used this shampoo I really didn't notice a difference. Normally when I use a shampoo, after only washing my scalp my ends will still feel as refresh as the hair on my scalp. Not so much with this. Still only washing a inch from my scalp, my ends are still feeling pretty dry, rough and very tangled. So much that I have to use a larger amount of the conditioner to fix it.

This shampoo makes my hair feel so clean and soft. I don't like alot of fragrance because I have migraines but this smells like I just left the salon.
