don't ever buy this product

This was horrible. You had to apply it to towel dryed, hair, wait 5 minutes, then it was like glue and made my hair awful.

Pungent scent

The scent on the conditioner has changed. It is more pungent than years past. Does in condition well? Yes, but the aroma is overwhelming. Not sure I will repurchase even though I’ve been using Shu uemura for years.

Not my favorite.

[Employee of shu-uemera] I did not feel like my hair was clean after one shampoo application. Having to apply additional shampoo hurst my thin hair. Also, my hair had no shine.

Pure Silk

Changed for the worse

I HAD been buying the color lustre "brilliant glaze conditioner" for at least ten years. Today I opened up my first container of the"protecting conditioner". The new odor, to my senses, smelled of cheap perfume made with chemical fragrance. I used shu because the fragrance was appealing - now I have to go find a new line of shampoo and conditioner because I am pouring a brand new bottle of conditioner and shampoo down the drain. Sad.

Perfect for dark colored hair!!

Disappointed with new formula conditioner

The new formula conditioner is totally different than the original. My hair is not shiny and light and vibrant with the new formula. This conditioner is heavy, my hair feels coated with product and is heavier. The new scent is totally different and musky. The original scent was a dream, other than cost it doesn’t make sense why so much was changed with their top selling formula , bring back the original PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shu eumura conditioner is meant to keep my dyed hair vibrant with the color lasting for 6 weeks longer. It has definitely kept the color on my hair. The conditioner is not that great for adding moisture and detangeling. It doesn't penetrate through my strands when went to make it smoother. When dried, there's no extra hydration. The smell is nice though. its not as strong as the shampoo but you still get light notes of citrus. A bonus is that its vegan so there are no animal derived ingredients. I received this product in exchange for my honest review.

Beautiful shiny hair

Since I was getting my hair cut and dyed I figured it was the perfect time to test this line out! Right from first use I loved the smell and how soft it left my hair. The scent could be a little strong for some so definitely recommend smelling in person before purchasing. It has been two weeks of testing this out and so far I feel like it's helped my hair stay hydrated and my stubborn grays don't seem to be peeking out as fast. Overall I would purchase again purely for the way it leaves my hair and I do like the smell. The conditioner has a pump so it's easy to use. Surprisingly I didn't need as much conditioner as I thought to get my curly hair detangled. Using all three products after a fresh styling was key in keeping the color looking vibrant longer.

Good slip and fade defying

Reds can be notorious for fading and getting off tones to them but this is helping significantly with those issues. This is a meduim weight conditioner in my opinion. It has good slip and doesn't weigh my fine hair down. My only complaint about the products is the scent is very heavy. It's a very floral scent that I can smell on my hair for hours after washing. I don't particularly love floral scents but I got used to it.

Great for color, not much for my curls

My new favorite conditioner!

I noticed that it feels much softer and my color is lasting much longer and not washing out at much as it was when I was using Redkin. Only down side for me is the smell is very perfumey. It's a great citrus scent but sometimes can be a bit strong. However it hasn't changed my mind on this being my new go to hair care line. My hair can feel dry especially after showers but this conditioner does a great job at preventing dryness and keeping it moisturized and feeling soft. Part of my hair is dyed and I noticed the colored hair looks brighter and healthier than it did before I started using this conditioner. The color is just so vibrant now and my hair overall is so shiny after shampooing and using the conditioner. You have to leave it on for about 5 minutes for best results. I live in a very warm and humid environment and this definitely helped reduce frizz from the humidity and keep my hair looking smooth. One of my favorite things about this is the scent! It's a beautiful floral mandarin scent that is so refreshing and makes me feel so fresh after a shower and I can't stop smelling my hair. It's like you have on perfume literally! Moisturizing but be careful

I'm sensitive to smells, and this scent is overwhelming to me and honestly ruins the experience for me. I found myself getting a headache throughout the day, because the smell lingers. It smells like rich cologne, so if you like those heavy scents you will likely love this, but if you're like me you may not. It's works amazing for my fine curly hair, but the smell is a bit much.

A little goes a long way, makes it better value for money. My hair always feels soft after applying and leaves it in better condition when I have blow dried. I have very fine, dry, color treated hair, and this conditioner has transformed my hair care routine. Nourished hair and vibrant color!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My toxic trait is that I generally use too much product - I simply cannot help myself. Shu Uemura has put an end to that for me with this conditioner though! When I tried it for the first time I was unsure how much I would need so I went ahead and used 3 pumps (side note - love the pump dispenser) and lo and behold that was plenty. Also, this is not because 3 pumps dispenses an ungodly amount of product but because a little bit of product packs a punch! I've since moved myself down to 2 pumps and my hair is still feeling nourished and healthy all while maintaining a nice vibrant color! Not sure what sorcery they used in develop this but I'm sold and you should give yourself a chance to be as well.

Softer more vibrant color !

Shiny and Healthy!

I have thinner, fine hair, and unlike many hair products this did not weigh my hair down and make it look lifeless (which is great, because it looks fuller)! I was shocked by how shiny and healthy it has looked, even without the use of the spray or additional products. The smell is amazing- definitely the luxe scent you would expect from Shu Uemura. Detangled and smoothed.

Pricey conditioner, not being able to waste any product is great. My Hair length is mid back and did about three pumps, the conditioner absorbed into my hair, and my hair felt very smooth and not weighed down and washed out very quickly and clean.

This conditioner smells fantastic, I love how great it smells during use and how my hair smells afterwards! Me and my mom have both used this conditioner (natural unprocessed hair and bleached/ dyed damaged hair) and for both of us the end result was soft and hydrated hair that was smoother than usual! I didn't have to use a lot of product for good coverage, which is nice especially since the product has a premium price. I also have hair that tends to get oily fast, so I appreciate how lightweight the conditioner was on my hair (hair didn't get oily as hast as usual) while still improving hydration and smoothing out the strands!

A new must have in my routine
