Best Shampoo

This shampoo was introduced to me by a stylist in Las Vegas at the Canyon Ranch Spa. I can not thank her enough as this is the only shampoo, along with the one for color, that I have ben using now for 2 1/2 years. I love the way it leaves my hair feeling and my husband loves the smell! I have oily scalp and dry ends.

It is a good shampoo as long as you do not have a scalp condition such as psoriasis or seborrheic dematitis, it is more of a control shampoo. However, I consider it a good shampoo.

Not the best for ultra greasy scalps

I bought this shampoo to help balance my really greasy scalp and so far have been underwhelmed. I was hoping it would push my hair wash days to be less frequent but I have not noticed a big difference. I do enjoy the smell and quality of the shampoo but it is not as degreasing as Bain Densite.

I’ve tried others Kerastase Shampoo but none works as well as this one works for my hair. It keeps my oily roots from getting oily faster. I’d say it makes my hair a bit dry during winter but it’s still my go to.

Not very impressed

Tried this product was recommended the fact I have an oily scalp and dry ends. Definitely felt like it gave me a good clean on my scalp and I could go a couple days between washes and lengths felt fine didn’t feel dry but didn’t feel nourished either. Using this product every time I washed I did notice more hair fall than normal so that wasn’t a plus. I wouldn’t try this product again.

Reformulated & WORSE

The old formula was much less harsh and much more effective. This formula contains actual lye soap. I think we all know what soap does to the hair. This company has sold out to the fear-mongering misinformation that parabens are somehow unhealthy ingredients to have in haircare. They are absolutely one of the safest and most gentle preservatives that can be found. What has now happened is that products are unnecessarily reformulated to actually become more harsh on the hair (and skin) using chemicals that are ironically making your experience and possibly health worse! L’Oréal who owns this company is one of the leaders in cosmetic science and they know very well that parabens are MORE THAN SAFE. Instead of spending tons of money reformulating and relaunching products they should use those funds to educate the public about the safety of parabens.

Great for removing build up, but does not over-dry

I love this shampoo as it is great for people like me who wash their hair thrice a week. It cleans your hair well without over-drying it. I have used this shampoo for years. It's really expensive in the US though, I don't know why it is so different from European and Asian prices (I previously lived in Germany and India where it is significantly cheaper).

I’ve brought a lot of shampoos from different brands. From OGX and even Kerastace. I have very oily roots. By the next morning my hair looks very oily. This is genuinely the worst shampoo I’ve ever used in my life. It leaves my hair dry and lifeless, and my hair remains oily, if not oilier than with previous shampoos. Do NOT buy it

Finally a clean scalp

I’m not one to leave reviews but after using this for 2 months I had to. I used to wash my hair and it would dry looking greasy. With this product - my hair can air dry and actually look so nice. It’s also brought my curls back to life. I can currently go two full days before it starts to look greasy. I’m really happy with this purchase considering it was a little pricey! Worth it

I love this stuff! I have curly hair so I try not to wash too often. When I do I like to shampoo a couple times. I use this first to really clean my scalp, then go back with either a moisturizing or purple shampoo. Love it.

Worse experience

I have an oily scalp and dry hair end. So I decided to buy a 80ml mini bottle of Bain Divalent Balancing Shampoo to fix the issue. After 1st wash, my hair began falling apart, the scalp and hair were extremely dry, much drier than before using this balancing shampoo. I tried 3 times and my hair stopped falling only when I paused using the shampoo. It was not helpful at all, my scalp continued releasing much oil until I have used up the bottle. I also had bad experience of Potentialiste Hair & Scalp Serum (mini sample sent along with the purchase), there was nothing it could do, except made my scalp felt itchy and hair looked greasy on 2nd day after applying serum on scalp.

Oily hair solution

Live by this stuff!

I've tried many shampoos and conditioners and love most of them. However, me and my daughter have two different types of hair but both of us have issues with oily hair on top yet dry scalps, my daughter even more so. So when I need something that balances us both out I go back to this for a bit. It smells so lovely and is so lightweight, not drying, and our hair looks and feels so fresh and clean afterwards.

I love this shampoo!

I did the hair test and this product was recommend. I’ve used it only once so far and I can already tell that my hair is shinier, my ends don’t look dry/broken and they look thicker. J’ai essayé ce shampooing il y a quelques temps et juste après la première utilisation, mon cuir chevelu était irrité et j’ai eu beaucoup de démangeaisons. Mes cheveux n’avaient en plus de cela même pas un aspect assez plus brillants. Je vous déconseille donc ce produit.

Love This Shampoo

I recently had an injury and was unable to shower often so this was my saving grace during that time. I am a hygiene nut and have been my whole life so to go without washing my hair everyday was so incredibly hard for me but this shampoo worked great. It looked and felt fine after 2 days and that has never happened in my life . I am glad I took a chance and tried it ...a little pricey but worth every penny.

Auto reorder

I ordered this shampoo over a year ago and was somehow signed up for a subscription. My reorder went through this morning and as soon as I saw the charge I called to cancel it. There were no emails telling me that my auto renew was coming up so I could cancel before the shampoo was ordered. The company’s policy is that once a order is placed it cannot be modified. So now I need to wait to get the shampoo and return it for my refund.
