good not great

weird one because it works well when used sporadically. I feel like scalp gets used to it fast, and it feels almost kind of heavy. I double cleanse always btw. So there should be no reason.

Glorious shiny, soft hair

As a shampoo for those of us with heavy, moisture laden hair this shampoo foamed up easily and then quickly shed the shampoo during the rinse step. The result was shining, soft hair that easily responded to styling. I am very impressed. This specific shampoo is significantly better than all the other shampoos for moisture laden hair!

Not for me

If I could give zero stars I would. My hair is never more unmanageable than when I use this. My scalp gets oily super quick after using it. I keep trying it once in a while because I spent tons of money on it and can’t stand the idea of losing that money. I’m about halfway through the bottle but I have given up. In the trash it goes. I won’t do this to my hair again.

Fine Blonde Hair Lifesaver

I have fine blonde hair ( now only slightly color treated) with Extensions. Having a kiddo can really do a number on your hair quality! My hair constantly seems dry and fragile on the ends while getting those nice oily roots if I don’t wash my hair at minimum every two days. If you haven’t tried double washing which I recommend 1000%, use this with the decalcification shampoo and your hair will improve tenfold over the course of six months. I have never had a product work so well.

Not for me

I have thin, flat Asian hair and a scalp that hairstylists have often described as tight. I always knew that, but I never really understood what it meant until I started using this shampoo. Since then, my scalp feels noticeably more relaxed, and my hair has had a bit more lift instead of falling flat. The biggest benefit has been how much more balanced my scalp feels. The tightness seems to have eased, which has made a real difference. -------- I have been using this product for a month now, and it has made my scalp really sensitive. Now it hurts when I put hot water on my scalp. This has never happened to me before. I feel like there's some ingredient in this that works, but it's overdoing it, and is no longer good for me. I have stopped using it and my scalp is getting better. I'm afraid to use it again. My only complaint is that it leaves my hair a little dry after washing. That can likely be solved with conditioner, but it does make me wonder whether the formula is slightly too drying for my hair type. I only purchased the serum, not the conditioner, though I may look into it. Overall, if the goal is scalp balance, this shampoo seems to deliver.

Chemical fragrance. Bottle is nice, but that’s it. I found this left my hair greasy and was ineffective at promoting a healthy scalp, don’t spend your money on these L’Oreal Paris products.

I purchased Spécifique Bain Divalent Balancing Shampoo because I was struggling with a very greasy scalp but dry mid-lengths and ends — such a frustrating combination. I only use Kerastase on my hair, so I don’t need to say I love it. But I made the mistake to buy this one, the big container. I really don’t like the smell, the thickness of my hair when I wash it with this shampoo. I would never buy it again, and now I’m stuck with this. They have so many other better choices. Underrated!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an underrated product. It does a great job of clarifying and cleaning the scalp and hair but doesn’t dry out my hair. The smell is divine! It smells fresh and clean. If you hate vanilla or coconut smelling products, give this a try. This is exactly what I like my hair to smell. There is no matching conditioner or mask, so that is the only downside to this. I’m someone who like to have a complementary conditioner to go with the shampoo.

Great Replacement

ever since they discontinued the bain antipelliculaire antidandruff shampoo I have been using this one as recommended by Kerastase and I've got to say its been still working wonders. I haven't had dandruff issues. I'll swap it out every couple washes with their genesis line for shine and no complaints!

Well this is not really a clarifying shampoo. It took two washes to get my hair clean. For the amount of money I paid I was expecting MUCH MORE! I would not recommend this shampoo nor will I buy it again. Total waste of money. To have to wash my haie twice to get it clean? No, no way, unacceptable.

Best Shampoo I've Ever Used

I truly cannot even handle how good this shampoo is. I've tried SO MANY, from drugstore to luxury brands, and this is by far the best I've ever used. It's perfect for what I need. This shampoo was a game changer for my scalp! After developing an oily scalp with normal to dry hair I went to see my dermatologist because nothing I used was working - my doc recommended a prescription shampoo that was super hard on my colored hair. I thought once I got the problem under control I could go back to the shampoo I love - Kerestase Densifique for fine hair that needs volume but I kept having issues if I didn’t use the medicated shampoo the doc gave me at least 2-3 times a week. Since I started using this shampoo I haven’t had to use my medicated shampoo again! And, this shampoo doesn’t cause my color to fade!
