Clarifying!

Your hair will feel like silk , but ...

I didn't notice the hair fall slowing down or stopping either! Very effective on thick curly manes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample of ShuUemura izumi tonic strengthening shampoo from #influenster for my honest feedback. I had never used this type of product before but thought best to test it on my teenage daughter’s hair. She has very thick and naturally curly long hair and going through the phase of trying all the products and styles on. As you can see in the first photo, her hair easily can become a tangly monster with layers of product built up. Using the tonic shampoo worked wonders at removing the grime and residue in between washes leaving her hair silky smooth and easier to manage than ever before. I plan to continue using this product for the both of us and highly recommend giving it a try. #influenster

Works really well

A little amount goes a long way and it suds up incredibly. The smell is a little too much but not offensive. If you’ve used East Asian products before it should be familiar and comforting. Change to My Hair Texture

And yes, I can actually feel the difference in my hair texture. It does seem to give more body, even when I am just air-drying after a shower. It takes several months to truly confirm if a hair product is effective, but thus far I am satisfied.

Made my thin, lifeless hair feel young again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Izumi tonic strengthening shampoo from Influenster for an honest review and let me just say Wow. Due to illnesses and aging my hair as become thin, dull and lifeless. This shampoo has actually made my hair feel so clean, full and “young” again. Just a small amount suds up so beautifully and rinses away easily. I do wish the bottle had been shaped differently for a better grip during showering, but this in no way takes away from actual product. It has a light, clean beautiful scent that leaves your hair if smelling clean with no strong sweet or floral scents. I do have to say the cost is somewhat pricey but if you’re looking for something to bring life back to your ailing hair, this is definitely the product to try.

I LOVE this shampoo!!!

The clean scent wasn’t overpowering and was subtle in the best way. The shampoo lathered quickly and was easily washed away leaving my hair feeling clean but not stripped. It’s a strengthening shampoo which I need because my hair has gotten more brittle (and grey) as I’ve gotten older. This shampoo is the best of the many strengthening shampoos that I’ve used and I will definitely keep using it. The shampoo bottle itself is absolutely gorgeous and looks high end.

Very nice!

I do feel like after a few uses it has helped my breakage and the ends of my hair not look at frizzy as it normally does. I also paired it with the gloss and I feel that helped it looked even better too! Gentle

The bottle is smaller than I had expected so price is actually a bit out of budget. I will splurge if it works for me though when I can. The liquid is clear and a little actually goes a long way. It smelled a bit like lemon and kind of herb-like to me. Like a clean smell. It was gentle on my dyed hair for being a cleansing shampoo. Was not overly foamy and felt great. My hair is thick and coarse so this worked perfectly. I just wish I could try it with the other products in this line to see how it all works together. So far I give this a good review with potential but take a star off due to the price and size. Quality is definitely there but then again, the packaging was very flimsy- like the bottle could just come out of the box very easily. Not sure if it was intentional for sustainability purposes? Would love to try more products from this brand!

Just ok

It states it is a strengthening shampoo, but I did not notice any benefits of less breakage or shine. I have fine hair that is colored regularly with bleach, so I’m always looking for hair products. That will keep my hair healthy. It’s possible there could be more benefits can be seen if using the whole regiment. Also, I did not like the smell of this product, it reminds me of baby powder. It might be appealing to other people though. This was not a winner for me in terms of saving my hair that can suffer from brittleness or breakage but might be fine for “normal” hair.

Interesting smell but lathers really well

It smells a lot like baby powder or old people? But it's honestly not bad though can be a little strong it does linger for a couple days but does get lighter. I don't know that it has done much for strengthening my hair it's very hard to tell in only a few weeks. The shampoo lathers well and my hair feels clean after. My hair does still get oily by the next morning but that is normal for me. The ingredients seem amazing for strengthening and they do seem to give my hair a pinch more volume when I blow-dry.

A little goes a long way! Very moisturizing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The scent is very mild and clean smelling, not too overpowering. The consistency is sort of jelly or gel like at first but once you start spreading it through your hair, it starts to soap up like traditional shampoo. My hair felt very well cleaned, and conditioned at the same time! I’ve only used it this once, but I plan on using this as my everyday shampoo until I run out! It didn’t dry my hair out and it seemed to provide an additional layer of moisture and repair along with my full hair routine. Due to the gel like texture, you can get away with using maybe 2 quarter sized dollops of shampoo per use. And I have extra long hair and that was enough for me. The over all value for the bottle I would say is amazing considering how far a little goes. A bottle should last over a month easily if you wash 1 time per day or every other day.

Luxurious spa experience!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited for this to come, but it by the time it made it, it was halfway leaked out, the cardboard box was drenched, soggy, and irreparably damaged and put in a ziploc bag. I could not see any of the packaging. That being said, the bottle itself is sleek and the branding is nice, clean, and straight forward. I was in the process of dying and glossing my hair and I wanted to put this shampoo to the test without using conditioner. so I could do the gloss treatment after it was dry. The first thing I noticed was the incredible smell. It is my favorite smelling shampoo and makes you feel like you’re at a spa every time you use it. The shampoo is clear and lathers really nice on the hair. Usually when I’ve used just shampoo, my hair is dry, course, and tangled, so I was amazed to find brushing my hair was so easy. My hair felt soft and silky. After it dried, I couldn’t believe the shine. I’ve never used a shampoo before that made my hair so shiny and soft without conditioning. I can honestly say that this shampoo is worth the price and I continuously find myself grabbing it over all my other hair products.

My new go to shampoo

Great but stinks

SMELL SMELL SMELL 😍😍

It smells like Sprite, like lemon-lime and I know that may not be a win with everyone but for me, I love it! I’ve used it about 4 times now, for both of my shampoos and I really like the texture. I don’t feel like it weighs my hair down since I have fine hair that’s something I worry about but I don’t feel that way with this. I also have color treated hair and I haven’t noticed any color fading either which is also a top priority for me. It is pretty concentrated so you don’t need a lot so I do like that because I feel like it will last a while. However, it is a little pricey for me, I don’t know if I’m going to repurchase just for that alone, but overall I have been really enjoying this shampoo!

Salon quality shampoo experience at home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pleasantly surprised by this product. The bottle is sleek, and uniquely shaped with a flip-top lid. Has a nice, light scent. Nothing overpowering. A little goes a long way, as it forms up a bit once you apply to your hair and start washing. It has a menthol cooling/tingling effect, but very mild. Hair feels sqeaky clean when rinsed. I do feel like i need to go heavy on the conditioner after because my hair feels pretty dry. Once I dry and style my hair, it feels nice and soft, and fuller. It gives my otherwise fine, limp hair, a bit of texture and "oomph". I use a blow dryer and straightening iron on my hair, and with this product my hair looks fuller and healthier and my split ends are not nearly as noticeable.

The Izumi tonic strengthening shampoo is very good it has a refreshing scent, the texture is very smooth and leaving your hair smelling nice and clean. My hair doesn’t feel stripped after using it it’s shiny and luxurious at the same time it’s a strengthening shampoo that will help with my split ends. I’m loving the Japanese enmei herb and Asian red ginseng root extract. It’s a little pricey but it’s worth it.

High quality spa feel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a brand that I've used and already love. Their products are always really high quality and clearly have good ingredients, so it's more of a question of does it work for your individual hair type of not. It smells expensive and like a spa, and works really well for my straight thin hair. My only issue is that even after double cleansing, by the end of the night my hair was feeling a little oily. One spritz of dry shampoo solved it immediately, but it's worth noting. I will still happily use it daily since it made my hair look silky smooth with no fly aways.

Nice and lathery

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo smells amazing. It mildly lathers up and feels very light weight. I tried it out without conditioner and it is almost like a clarifying shampoo but makes your hair healthier and more manageable. I have medium coarse hair but on the thinner side and it works great to revitalize my scalp. I like the rice water aspect of this shampoo. I hope it helps my hair grow thicker and longer.

Very effective

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ShuUemura izumi tonic strengthening shampoo is my new favorite. As you can see in the before picture (heart covering face) my hair was very dry and not manageable at all. After 5 days of using this shampoo my hair is healthier and not fly aways. I would definitely give it 5 stars except for the shape of the bottle is hard to manage when you’re all wet and soapy. Also the smell reminds me a little of old man aftershave. I will be using this often.

Shampoo tonic with rice water

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this product. The consistency was just right, it was clear and being my hair longer than my waist I still used a little over a quarter sized amount and it lathered up well. It wasn’t real foamy, but it lathered, and it was easy to rinse as well and the scent was amazing but, not overpowering. I can’t really tell you if it was worth what I paid as I was given this free to try. However, whenever it becomes available to the public I would definitely invest!

Such soft hair!

Perfect shampoo for “baby hair”

Recently, in desperation, I consulted an expert and trust-worthy stylist in Paris. Her first comment as she fingered my fine, thin (and thinning) hair was “baby hair. You have baby hair”. A spot-on diagnosis. She recommended this shampoo and I ordered it as soon as I returned to the US. I’ve used it about 4 times and am very pleased. It cleanses thoroughly and rinses out easily. I don’t know if my hair is getting stronger but . . . my fingers are crossed.
