I would like to buy it again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since I only wash my hair 1-2x a week, this strengthening mask is perfect for my hair rather than just a regular conditioner. The formula has strengthened, repaired, and added much needed moisture to my long, fine, dry hair. I have noticed a significant difference in my hair's texture, it's much softer and smoother. The moisture levels have increased making my hair look and feel fuller. I've had less fallout during rinsing, and much less breakage while brushing. My only complaint with this product is the packaging. As amazing as it is that the jar is made from 95% recycled plastic, the texture of it is incredibly slippery and makes the cap very difficult to unscrew with wet hands. Had this mask been put in a squeeze tube or bottle with a pump, it would be perfect.

Rice Water Hair Mask

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exchange for a review. This Izumi Tonic Strengthening & Thickening Rice Water Hair Mask is actually pretty good. It was easy to use and worked better than I anticipated. My hair felt great after using it, smooth and strong. It lasted for about 4 days before I felt I had to wash my hair again, which for me is a good amount of time. With my hair these hair masks typically last about 1-2 days. I am pleasantly surprised by this product. The only thing I didn't care for was the scent, it was a little stronger than I prefer, but because this product worked so well I would deal with the scent, and the scent is more of a personal thing, so other people may not mind it as much. If it wasn't for the price point on this I would consider purchasing it because of how well it worked. I would recommend it for people looking for a good hair mask that actually works, and people that can fit it in to their budgets.

Saved my hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Izumi Tonic Strengthening & Thickening Rice Water Hair Mask to try for free in exchange for my honest review. I have been trying to get my hair silver, in vain, for awhile before I got to try this. I had bleached it, toned it, dyed it, toned it again, and even tried the color depositing condition. Needless to say my hair was damaged. The results with one use of this mask were amazing. I can already see the results and can't wait until I can try it a few more times.

Great for to straight to wavy hair, not for curls.

If left my very curly hair flat. My curls didn't pop as they usually do after using a hair mask. It works but it is not for all hair types.

A Pass For Me

The smell alone was too much for me to use it more than twice. It had a very strong chemical smell that made it hard to use for me personally. I prefer hair products that have a fragrance. But it also didn't do much for my hair. It at least didn't come out worse when I used it, meaning there was no film on my hair and it didn't feel more damaged after. I just didn't see any kind of results and for that I give it a three. I think if you're in the market for a hair mask there are better options out there.

Good but not great for my curls

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mask is really nice at smoothing hair and leaving it frizz-free and shiny! It also smells amazing and is easy to use. However, it wasn't the best for my particular curly hair—my hair can be very sensitive to protein, and while I have had much worse results from, for example, keratin masks, it did seem like my curls were less bouncy when I used it. But of course YMMV even for curly girls!

Softest Hair on Earth!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time trying a product from the brand Shu Uemura, but it won't be the last. The product boasted that it was a strengthening mask that repairs damage and guards against future damage. This made the mask the perfect product to aid in my hair prep for braids. I loved the packaging of the hair mask, and it looked like it belonged in a luxury salon. I did not like the scent of the mask, which reminded me of cologne, but after use, the scent did not linger. This hair mask my hair incredibly soft. I was in shock how easy it was to comb through my hair; the comb slide through like butter. After rinsing out the mask, I was able to blow out my hair with little to no breakage. I would recommend this product to others, but the price point is the only thing that is preventing this mask from being a 5 star product, especially since I have thick 4C hair.

Must have unruly curl routine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would like to say that at first I was hesitant to give this product a try since in the past I have tried other products that had promise to strengthen, define and repair my frizzy curls and none disbthe work however after trying this product I was amazed. I was able to notice a huge difference with just one use. To start off, I really like how the whole process doesn't take more the 6 minutes to start to finish. Just apply to clean damp hair and leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse off. Second, this product gives off a pleasant fruity/ flowery send that its not to strong but pleasant. Also, after styling her I notice that I didn't need to apply my usual products to keep the frizz on check because it left my hair feeling thicker, silky smooth and able to lock in moisture!!!!, I definitely recommend for everyone with unruly curls to give it a try. I honestly love this product and I will be purchasing once mine finished

A luxurious surprise

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was not sure what to make of the strengthening treatment at first and I am generally a skeptic however after using it even the first time I was really excited by the results. I followed the directions, washing my hair leaving it damp before applying. I lost track of time though and left it in for an hour not five minutes like it states. Either way my hair felt really good after I rinsed out the treatment. I expected some sort of residue based on the creamy texture but my hair felt stronger, softer and was left with a natural shine you can't really replicate with hair oils. A bit on the pricey side but being that it had more of a spa like feel than a daily use vibe I can see the izumi tonic being worthwhile as an addition to my regiment .

Not for me

I actually use rice water product for my skin as well. This mask is super hydrating and makes my scalp oily very quick. Hair mask that's the truth

I have thick, kinky coily, natural hair and am fresh off of getting a trim so my hair is at the perfect starting point. The scent reminds me of old school face cream. It applied very easily. Had the texture of a smooth yogurt. Applied all over my hair and left in for 5 minutes. After washing it out my hair felt super soft and not dry at all so definitely adds hydration. Love that it also helped with detangling. Would definitely recommend.

I have half my hair blonde. It has some damage and this conditioner / hair mask really brought it back to life. It had more bounce and my waves came back. The only downside is don't let it near your roots. Will make it look greasy. I did have to use a fair amount to really get it to soak. But my hair loved it so that really isn't a really problem. I don't think you would need to use more the twice a week. Really deep conditions well. It has a very light but still flowery and sweet.

Great hair mask

It leaves my hair feeling soft and not too frizzy (I'm prone to frizz and live in an area with hard water, so my frizz is hard to manage). The smell is nice, but has a dusty "old perfume" smell. It's quite strong, so those sensitive to sent should avoid this product. Taking off a star because the hair mask arrived with product spilling out the sides of the lid. It was quite hot when it was shipped to me, so I think the heat caused the product to expand. They might want to look into quality control to prevent this from happening in the future.

Rice mask

Moisture bomb to tame my frizzy curls

I applied the mask after shampooing and left it on for five minutes. After rinsing the mask, my hair felt soft. The scent of the mask still lingered for a couple hours after I rinsed off the mask. After my hair dried I noticed less frizziness. I would recommend this mask for anyone looking to strengthen colored or damaged hair. I have blonde highlights and it did not effect the color of my hair. I will continue to use this mask to see more of the strengthening benefits.

Love this new product in my hair routine

I was very excited when I received this mask from buzzagent. It smells sooo good. It has a nice thick texture but easy to wash out. My hair felt soft while brushing afterwards. Love it!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this product without knowing what to expect since many hair masks don't seem to make much difference on my hair. Even at first use of this mask, I noticed a big difference in my hair. I shower at night, so I typically air dry my hair, which tends to frizz up later due to my waves. This mask however, made my hair feeling soft and hydrated, something difficult to do with such harsh environment of extreme heat and humidity I live in. It left my hair feeling lighter, bouncier, and shiny as well. I fell in love with this mask since first use. Really recommend. the only downside is the smell, to me it is a little strong and lingers, but I can live with it with all its other benefits.

I would buy this product

I would purchase this Mask again

Let's start by saying that I liked how soft my hair felt after using the combo of the shampoo and this mask. It is very lightweight and super silky. The only down side for me is the fragrance, its not at all overwhelming but it just wasn't my favorite scent.

Softens and Smooths Hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have thin, processed hair that can get quite dry especially on the ends; however, I live in a very humid area so that is tough. I've used this mask once a week after shampooing (no conditioner) and let sit for 5-minutes, then rinse. I start on my ends and only put a little on the top. This makes my hair super moisturized and soft. I haven't noticed any strengthening, but this is a solid mask.

Great Conditioner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This conditioner was great for my thin, fine, damaged hair. The smell was pleasant and the conditioner felt good in my hair. After leaving it in for the recommended time (about 5 minutes) it rinsed out of my hair well leaving it feeling smooth and conditioned but not weighed down. I also used the Izumi Tonic Shampoo and Izumi Tonic Serum to get the maximum benefits. My hair felt healthy and conditioned and also had more texture to it. My husband commented several times while I used these products (unbeknownst to him) that my hair looked good - thicker. Other "repairing" products I've tried seem to make my hair feel limp and weighed down - this was a surprising change. I will use these products again in the future and will definitely recommend it to others.

VERY Moisturizing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product really delivers results. I have super short hair that is dry from highlights. I found this to be too moisturizing if used as directed. I will probably use this once every other week or maybe once a month. I do think this will be good to use after getting my hair bleached, but it weighs my hair down with regular use.

Luxurious, transforming mask that smells great!

Packaging is lackluster

It is not heavy and did not seem to weigh my hair down whatsoever. I avoided putting it near the scalp. Packaging is quite difficult to open with wet hands! Overall something I may continue to buy.
