Love it!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this product without knowing what to expect since many hair masks don't seem to make much difference on my hair. Even at first use of this mask, I noticed a big difference in my hair. I shower at night, so I typically air dry my hair, which tends to frizz up later due to my waves. This mask however, made my hair feeling soft and hydrated, something difficult to do with such harsh environment of extreme heat and humidity I live in. It left my hair feeling lighter, bouncier, and shiny as well. I fell in love with this mask since first use. Really recommend. the only downside is the smell, to me it is a little strong and lingers, but I can live with it with all its other benefits.

I would buy this product

I would purchase this Mask again

Softens and Smooths Hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have thin, processed hair that can get quite dry especially on the ends; however, I live in a very humid area so that is tough. I've used this mask once a week after shampooing (no conditioner) and let sit for 5-minutes, then rinse. I start on my ends and only put a little on the top. This makes my hair super moisturized and soft. I haven't noticed any strengthening, but this is a solid mask.

Great Conditioner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This conditioner was great for my thin, fine, damaged hair. The smell was pleasant and the conditioner felt good in my hair. After leaving it in for the recommended time (about 5 minutes) it rinsed out of my hair well leaving it feeling smooth and conditioned but not weighed down. I also used the Izumi Tonic Shampoo and Izumi Tonic Serum to get the maximum benefits. My hair felt healthy and conditioned and also had more texture to it. My husband commented several times while I used these products (unbeknownst to him) that my hair looked good - thicker. Other "repairing" products I've tried seem to make my hair feel limp and weighed down - this was a surprising change. I will use these products again in the future and will definitely recommend it to others.

VERY Moisturizing

Luxurious, transforming mask that smells great!

Packaging is lackluster

I wish the packaging was better

I have only used a few times, but this in conjunction with the shampoo and serum have made my hair look thicker. It isn't only this hair mask, but hair mask in general I think need to be packaged better. It's so difficult to have to twist this open, scoop out the mask, apply to hair while also somehow managing to re-close the packaging. Maybe it's just me. Anyway, I will continue to use and hope this makes my hair breakage less.

Good hair mask

The only issue I had with this product is the packaging. The packaging was beautiful but it is not functional. It is difficult to be in the shower and unscrew the cap, get a finger full of the mask, put the packaging down and screw the cap back on. But the mask itself is wonderful, I just would have preferred different packaging.

5 star formula 2 star packaging

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since I only wash my hair 1-2x a week, this strengthening mask is perfect for my hair rather than just a regular conditioner. The formula has strengthened, repaired, and added much needed moisture to my long, fine, dry hair. I have noticed a significant difference in my hair's texture, it's much softer and smoother. The moisture levels have increased making my hair look and feel fuller. I've had less fallout during rinsing, and much less breakage while brushing. My only complaint with this product is the packaging. As amazing as it is that the jar is made from 95% recycled plastic, the texture of it is incredibly slippery and makes the cap very difficult to unscrew with wet hands. Had this mask been put in a squeeze tube or bottle with a pump, it would be perfect.

Oh my goodness!

Little Tricky to Apply

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this hair mask in order to combat the recent thinning of my hair. I liked this mask well enough, but it's a bit tricky to apply. Since you have to rinse it off after applying, I had to apply it while in the shower. Meaning I had to take the entire tab of it into the shower with me. It was tricky trying to keep it out of the water while also being able to scoop out enough to put onto my hair. Otherwise, this product works well! I noticed a difference in thickness in my hair where I applied it, over the course of seven days. It doesn't weigh down your hair or make it get greasier faster. The only downside is that I don't really care for the scent of it.

Packaging is horrible

I hate unscrewing jars in the shower. It feels unsanitary and gross. Please change to a tube or pump. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone until the packaging changes. I would buy this product again!

Strength and Volume for Fine, Fragile Hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have very fine, curly hair that breaks easily so I was really excited to receive the Izumi Tonic Strengthening System (Shampoo, Serum, and Mask) from Shu Uemura Art of Hair for free in exchange for a review! I've been using the products for a couple of weeks now and I believe they deliver on their promise of stronger, thicker hair. The products are very lightweight, which leaves my hair feeling clean and voluminous with no trace of grease, even after a couple of days. It will probably take using the products for a little longer to see if they really prevent breakage, but I think I am starting to notice less hair covering the drain at the end of my showers. The only downside to these products I've noticed is that they leave my thirsty hair feeling dry which has caused my curls to lose some definition. I think going forward I will pair these products with some of my older, more hydrating ones. I want the benefit of stronger, thicker hair without having to sacrifice moisture. Again, fortunately, these products are so lightweight that I don't think I'll have any issues combining them with others. Overall, I would recommend the Izumi Tonic Strengthening System to anyone with fine, fragile hair like mine. In addition to the benefits I listed above, they smell nice and come in elegant containers. I notice a little goes a long way so the products should last a while, and I'm hoping that when it comes time for my next haircut, I won't have to trim away as many inches of split ends.

Nice thick mask

AMAZINGLY soft hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this mask every other time I shampooed my hair, using a basic conditioner on the opposite times. Like the other products, it has a strong scent in the shower, which fades to a nice light citrus/clean scent. I applied it as directed on the lengths of my hair, then waited while the product absorbed. It felt SO good rinsing out of the hair, and I could already feel softer and smoother ends. However, like the shampoo, I felt like this was more beneficial to the hair when I styled my curls with a hairdryer as opposed to letting them airdry. When I air dried my curls, they fell flat, and weren't as bouncy and well formed as when I used my previous haircare system. Ultimately, I do think this mask helped repair my hair, and I will be using it regularly when I plan to style with the hairdryer.

Thick and rich conditioning crème

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Shu Uemura Art of Hair Izumi Tonic Mask Conditioner for about 2 weeks. I do not enjoy that it comes in a jar. I prefer a bottle that I can pour or squeeze the product into my hand. With the jar, I need to use a wet hand to loosen the lid, then try to avoid getting water in the jar while showering, and finally scoop out a portion that will condition my hair without being too much and make my hair feel greasy. Using my hand to dip into the jar, I keep taking out too much and while I can put some back in, I feel like it dilutes what is in the jar. The product itself is a high quality hair conditioner. It is thick and makes my hair feel silky smooth. I'm not a fan of the scent of the product but that is my personal preference.

Amazing product!

Great for my first hair mask

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free in exchange for writing a review. One of the few things I would change about this product is the packaging. I wish that it was a pump dispenser in order to ensure that I am using the same amount each time and not wasting any product. It currently requires one to scoop out the product with their fingers, which can get quite messy. A little bit of this product goes a long way. I keep it in the shower to use after I shampoo my hair, brush it in with a wet brush and then rinse after 5 minutes. I feel like I noticed fewer split ends and there was no oily residue. This is one of the first hair masks I have used and I am happy with how my hair looks and feels. The white packaging is clean and aesthetically pleasing and the scent is not overpowering. I will continue to use this product and invest in this company.

Very conditioning!!

Fuller shiny hair!

I researched the ingredients and I was happy to see rice water as an ingredient because I struggle with thinning hair. The hair mask felt really luxurious. I wld def buy this product again!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After shampooing my hair (I used their line). I followed up w the hair mask. I squeezed out the excess of water off my hair and applied a quarter size to my hair and used a wet brush to distribute evenly. I kept it on for 5-10 min and rinsed out. I cld immediately tell my hair was a much more manageable. My hair didn't feel heavy but looked amazing and much more shiny!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been having a really hard time lately with finding hair products that works for me. The smell last for days ! This left my hair so silky and soft that I didn't need product after really!! I gave to my daughters to try and they have different hair types. They love the smell and the way it left their hair. I tried not washing for a few days. Which normally would make my hair greasy. Day 4 it was starting to get greasy.

Didn't weight my hair down

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Izumi tonic mask worked well for my hair type. It didn't weigh it down or leave it looking limp. It enhanced my natural waves. I liked that a small amount goes a long way. The jar is easy to open. The only con I found is that I wish the mask container came with a small spatula or scoop to remove the product. The mask applies evenly to hair and can be rinsed after 5 minutes. I liked that it left my hair feeling softer.

Great for fragile hair

Just an ok product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The smell of the product was nice and light. The product did not do much for conditioning. After the use of the tonic mask it was more difficult to comb/brush my hair than usual. I have naturally curly hair so I know how to derange.

A nice mask hair treatment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using the coordinating shampoo, I put in a nice amount of this mask and waited for 5 minutes before rinsing it out. This product has almost no scent to it at all, which was nice. The texture is not super thick, but thick enough to coat hair nicely. It did take a while to rinse out, but I was expecting that from a mask treatment. I followed it up with the tonic serum and let my hair air dry. Overall, my hair feels nice and smooth, and looks a little thicker. It is nice, but not markedly different from other products.

Hair mask is amazing

My new lover!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free from bzzagent in exchange for my honest review. First of all.I have dry hair and it's hard to detangle even when it's wet. But this product did a great job to solve my problem in the shower. After applied it on to my hair and rinsed it off , my hair feels smoother and it has very pleasant smell. I highly recommend this products to anybody who has no time to go to salon. Trust me you won't regret it!

Great Hair Mask!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this mask for about a week and I have a notice a huge difference in my flyaways! I have also noticed my hair feeling my stronger and not as brittle as before. After using the Izumi shampoo and conditioner, I put the mask on for 5 mins in the shower and rinse it off. This leaves my hair feeling very light weight and nourished. The mask also leaves your hair smelling amazing!

Thick hydrating hair mask
