Good for color but may cause dryness

I didn’t matter length of time used, this actually made my hair drier and caused some shedding. It smells great and is great for the highlights, but for me, it caused drying. Easy to use and rinse out.

Great for cool tone color

My hair naturally lifts warm and whenever I tone my hair it turns brassy quickly. So I've had to avoid washing my hair for days at a time, but the purple hair mask has helped with that! Bleached hair is highly porous and can absorb violet pigments too deeply, which traps light and makes blonde look dull or "mute." Additionally, if your yellow undertones are slightly deeper, the pigment may need more time to work. For better results, we recommend leaving your purple shampoo or mask on for a full 3 to 5 minutes before rinsing. We also suggest alternating your toning treatment with our Blond Absolu Cicaflash Conditioner—it deeply restores and instantly brightens blonde hair without depositing heavy, dulling pigment. Too expensive for experience

The packaging made it odd to scoop from since the formula is super, super thick. Having to hold the cap, container in one hand and scoop from another and then put the cap on wasn’t great. Then the hair mask itself was pretty chunky, making much more of a mess in comparison to the shampoo. It also didn’t leave my hair looking shinier or feeling softer or looking blonder. For this price, I didn’t love this as much but will keep using the shampoo!

We also hear your disappointment regarding the lack of added softness, shine, and toning. Absolute excellence

I have naturally dark brown hair which I dyed black for few years, now I’m trying to go blonde. My bleach is not a nice color, kind of muddy brown/greysh brass. Also my hair is fairly distressed from 3-4 sessions of bleach. I tried several brands, lines and products that are designed to enhance blond, condition and restore hair, and remove brassy tones. This purple mask is 10 on 10, the next best is like 5 on 10. It tones the brassy orangey shade and it nourishes, hydrates and softens the hair. I am on my 5th jar and love it.

Turns your hair lavender and icy grey in 5 minutes

If I could give it negative stars I would. It needs to come with a warning that it turns your hair a purplish grey. Looks so bad and won’t wash out. I love the shampoo and conditioner in this line, but I’m going to have to go to the salon to get this fixed! I’m too embarrassed to post a pic. Pigmented but I wish it was more hydrating

Of course we have the purple shampoos, but such a pigmented mask is a real treat for toning my blonde hair. I honestly think I might even use this “à la carte” from the kerastase ultra-violet shampoo (might be TOO much purple for me). This mask smells amazing. However, I do wish it was more hydrating. Purple toners can be very drying and I feel like more hydrating in this mask would have made it 5/5 stars for me.

Kerastase has some of the best conditioners out there and this one has become my new favorite. It is a very thick purple mask, that spreads easily throughout my hair. After using my hair always feels so soft and looks incredibly shiny. The blonde almost glows and my hair looks and feels smooth, with minimal frizz. I love this conditioner and it works extra well when paired with the matching shampoo. If you’re a blonde this should be your new go to conditioner.

Hydrating and Combats Brassiness

Cuts brass tones

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This masque is very thick and VERY purple as you can see from the photo. I use the masque in conjunction with the shampoo for maximum brass reduction. My hair feels nice and soft after using the masque and a bit more vibrant as the purple cuts through orange tones. Even though the masque is bright purple, it doesn’t stain your hands, hair, or shower. The scent is a standard gauge floral that doesn’t linger on the hair. I would say if you wanted to splurge, definitely pick up the masque over the shampoo, more bang for your buck that way

Bright and shiny

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exchange for my honest review. In the past, I have generally not been a fan of tinted shampoo and conditioners. I’ve always felt like they have weighed my hair down and left a film on it. This doesn’t work for me because I have fine then long hair however once trying this product, I have changed my mind. I have always had luck with this brand in the past and these products are no exception. They have a very deep rich purple tint, which pulled all of the brassiness out of my hair, leaving it bright and shiny and soft. I did not wear my hair down. It smells amazing. I will definitely be purchasing this product in the future.
