I love love love the way this smells but it does not seem to help much with my dry/itchy scalp. It does provide relief for about a day or two but then my scalp gets itchy again. I will try a different product when I run out of this.

Soothes itchy dry scalp

Game changer!

My hair becomes so soft. I used to dye my hair so it became a little coarse. I have fine hair and it used to be very soft and smooth. I’ve just stopped dying my hair and tried to nurse it back to good heath. This serum does the job. I fall in love with my hair again. Love the soft touch.

An absolute must have for my dry scalp. I have a very dry itchy scalp and this product works a lot better for me than the Potentialiste which also works really well but this is the best product I've used for my dry scalp for sure. I prefer to use it on a wet scalp. It brings so much relief. I use it before styling my hair and there is no build up. I would definitely recommend.

Will Use This Forever

My hairstylist friend gave this to me as a gift, and I will definitely be keeping it in stock, especially during the winter when I tend to get dryer skin. The moment a drop of this stuff touches my scalp I am so relieved. It cools my scalp and it’s almost as if I can feel it working to hydrate my skin. Definitely a must-have for those with dry skin.

This is a new product I’ve not used in the past. It was recommended during the hair quiz. I’ve always had trouble with a dry scalp and have never found anything other than hair masks as an option to help maintain a healthy scalp. It’s easy to use and feels so nice. It’s runny as others have mentioned but I like that because it disperses on your scalp easily especially since I have thick and dense hair. I definitely notice a difference when I use this product and will be adding it to my regular product lineup.

Really great for targeted treatment!

This scalp serum is very good. It really helps calm my scalp anytime it feels dry or irritated. However, it works best for my hair sparingly, when I really need it. If I use it on a regular basis, my hair feels and looks lifeless/limp and flat. Alternately, I like using the Initialiste Scalp & Hair Serum. Doing this keeps my scalp calm (not itchy and irritated) and my hair fuller and softer!

Great relief for winter dry, itchy scalp

I've been using this scalp treatment for 2 weeks and I no longer have a dry, itchy scalp. I've always had dry scalp in Fall/Winter months. This scalp treatment has worked wonders for me. No more itchy, dry feeling. No flakes. I put it on my scalp 1 to 2 times per week on dry hair before I go to bed. Great itching relief

I use both Genesis and Nutritive scalp serum. I use Genesis right after wash my hair and on the second day. After this my scalp starts to itch so I bought the nutritive one hoping to fix this problem and I was right! This is great to relieve my scalp till I wash my hair again (usually 4days between washes). I definitely recommend it and I’m looking forward to try the serum for split ends and the new Termique!

My favorite thing about it is that it is not greasy or oily. It is more like a liquid. So many products make my hair feel greasy so easily, and this does not. If anything, I actually felt like it made my hair feel cleaner and more lightweight. It seemed to look healthier and add a small, nice shine. For a couple years I have had a really dry scalp, especially during certain times of the year, and have flakes of skin in my hair a lot. I started out using this product 2 times a week and noticed a difference after the first use. I've been using it for a few weeks now and haven't noticed hardly any flaky skin in my hair and my scalp doesn't itch. I put it in towel dried hair. I don't think I would use it on dry hair only because I don't feel like it would do very much. I start at the scalp and work some down through my hair to the ends. The bottle is heavy duty and so pretty. It comes with a decent amount. I think this is a great product and definitely worth trying! So glad I was given the opportunity to try it!!

Saved my hair multiple times.

So I’ve used this whole line before the revamp. It was the magistral one. (Spelling sorry I am not French). I have a long complicated medical history. I’ve had my hair fall out from surgeries and malnutrition. I’ve seen countless dermatologists. I’ve tried every brand from redken to Schwarzkopf to drug store you name it. As someone who really values hair as I haven’t been lucky to always have nice hair, this stuff pays for itself. I was really mad when they revamped the line because it took years for me to start getting nice hair again (thanks to Keristase ) so when I found something that improved my hair significantly I was worried about change. So here it is, I love the new line, I even started using the scalp serum, it’s a new staple I will always have now. The new mask for very dry hair is just the same if not better then before. And the leave in cream and the overnight serum are incredible like before. If you want nice hair don’t invest thousands and try a bunch of products, just try this. The investment pays for itself. I would like to try the split ends serum soon.

While my hair was wet and when my hair was dry. I think the serum is nice and does a good job at moisturizing my scalp. I love in the desert and it is really dry here. The serum did help moisturize. I think it works better when your hair is damp, use it before blow drying. It is a thinner serum so it can be quite messy. If applied on dry hair it had a tendency to run and drip. I would love this if the serum was just a tad thicker because it does run before you can massage it onto your scalp. Overall it was helpful, but messy

I didn't know how much I needed this!

Nonetheless, I've been using scalp oils prior to showering to see if it makes my hair healthier. Ive never tried a scalp serum so I have nothing to compare it to. However, when I'm done massaging this into each section of my scalp and blow drying, there is a noticeable difference in the amount of frizz and flyaways I have. I have naturally dry hair, not due to damage but low porosity makes it tricky to keep hydrated. In the weeks I've used this serum, my hair feels more lightweight and my scalp does feel so much healthier. The smell is so nice too! It's kind of a floral but fresh and not perfumey. This contains plant based proteins. Though I'm usually sensitive to protein, I didn't see any new breakage. There is also niacinamide to retain moisture and strengthen hair. I loved the packaging. The gorgeous orange glass bottle felt so luxe and the pipette helped my to always use the correct amount. You get so much product too! I will happily buy more when I am out and I'm excited to try more Kerastase products.

Maybe for thicker hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product did make my scalp feel amazing and soothed … but it left a bit of a heavy / greasy feeling on my roots that took a couple of shampoos to get out. It didn't look greasy but felt it.
