Masquintense Riche by Kérastase is a deeply nutritive ultra-concentrated rich hair mask for very dry medium to thick hair. WHO IS IT FOR?
For medium to thick very dry hair.
IN-SALON PROTOCOL
1 - BACKWASH
- Bathe - Start with the application of Bain or Bain Satin Riche. Apply directly on the scalp. Develop foam & perform the 3 gestures of the Kérastase Massage. Rinse and repeat.
2 - STYLING STATION
- Treat - Go to the styling station to apply the full Nutritive protocol in front of the client. Mix the Nutritive Concentré + Nutrition Booster. Apply Fusio Dose on each strand on lengths and ends. Don't rinse.
3 - BACKWASH
- Treat - Layer Fusio Dose with Masquintense. Take the product with a spoon and put it in a bowl. Apply the mask on lengths & ends with a brush. Massage lengths & ends. Make twists. Leave under the steam without rinsing the product for 10 minutes. Add water & emulsify. Rinse thoroughly.
4 - STYLING STATION
- Care - On towel-dried hair, moisturize scalp with Nutri-Supplement Scalp Serum. Take 1 pipette until the mark. Apply 2 to 4 doses regarding hair thickeness section by section. Massage gently. Do not rinse.
- Protect - Hair against heat with Lotion Thermique Sublimatrice or Nectar Thermique. Put a small amount of the product in you hand. Apply section by section throughout lenghts. Don't rinse. Blowdry.
- Finish - The hair style with the Nutri-Supplement Dry Ends Serum. Show to the client how to use. Take 1 to 2 drops in the palm of the hand. Spread into both hands. Apply on lengths & ends.

Unpleasant Smell
The product is very moisturizing and leaves my hair feeling soft, However, I find the scent over powering and unpleasant. I love Kerastase products and normally love there smell. This is the product line i have not liked.

Revives my hair!

Disappointing new formula
I have been using the mask for a several years. It had been my go-to as it really moisturized and made my hair look healthy and feel silky!
The new formulation however is different. My hair feels dry, (not at all smooth and silky. Not even close) with like a sort of film to it. Definitely not getting the same results as with the previous formula. I've used this new version about 10 times now, and every result is the same. I'm going to drop this from my routine.

This MASK is one of my FAVES
I have been a loyal Kerastase buyer for years, and my salon doesn't even carry Kerastase. Yet I use every single one of their products. I know my hair products! Nothing better for unruly, dry, highlighted hair
I use this mask after a few minutes of the Oleo Relax Mask, leave this on for nearly 10 minutes while I shower, my hair is healthy, shiny, easy to manage, doesn't look like a fine or damaged unruly mess after heat styling. My hair is healthy and grows stronger and quickly with regular trims. I have fine hair, but a lot of it. My hair just takes it all on without any heaviness or feeling weighed down.

Results First Use
The very first time I used this I had very noticeable results! My hair was much silkier and felt happier. I've used various products in the past without personalized recommendations for my hair and felt really lukewarm about my results. But this time around there was a hair quiz recommending exactly what would be best for my hair type and it's like the difference between night and day! The regime it recommended for me it spot on and already improving my hair! The ONLY drawback is that I dislike the jar container - I never like getting a bunch stuck under my nails when scooping out a use!

New formulation not as good
I have extremely thick, coarse hair and found this product 20+ years ago when I was in high school. It was like magic on my hair which tends to just absorb all conditioners. I barely had to use any and my hair was left feeling silky and looking shiny. I've gotten tons of compliments on my hair over the years and have recommended this product to numerous people. Unfortunately, they got rid of the version of this product for thick hair and the new formula is not the same. I find myself using twice as much with lesser results. I'm giving this one more shot and then may have to find something else.

The Greatest Hair Mask
After relocating from the Midwest to Colorado, I found myself struggling heavily with adjusting my haircare routine to such a vastly different, dry climate. My curl/wave pattern became barely existent and I was seeing a lot of breakage to a degree I’d never experienced.
This product was recommended to me by my stylist when I voiced concerns over the changes I was experiencing in texture. I hesitated at the price point, but was desperate to love my hair again and took the chance.
After one use, I saw a world of a difference. With continued use my curl pattern started to return, hair breakage reduced significantly, and I started to love my hair again. Two years later, I’ve implemented several Kérastase products into my routine and will never look back.
A little goes a l o n g way, so as someone with medium-thick hair I was able to make 1 tub last as my primary conditioner about 9-10 months before repurchase (using 3-4 times a week on average). Highly recommend this product to anyone needing to overcome dryness, texture changes, breakage, and dullness.

Works great
This product works really well. Despite the fact that I have fine, straight hair, I use the Riche Hair Mask because of my hair being very bleached. I do not find that it weighs down my hair. The only complaints I have are 1) the smell. It smells like hand lotion and is not at all pleasing unlike other Kerastase products. and 2) I do not like that it comes in a "jar" like cotainer that I have to stick my fingers in to retrieve some to use.

New formula doesn’t work and smells terrible
This WAS my favorite product ever until they changed the formula. This new product I just bought smells terrible, made my hair look frizzy and left it feeling waxy. New container thrown away as well as my money. Please go back to old formula it was my miracle for beautiful hair.

I’ve tried everything on the market, good and bad, price is of zero consequence. In fact, I’d pay double the price. There is no better product for hair repair on the market. Thank you for all the years of service. You’ve recently changed the formula a few times. I beg of you not to change anything. This is a classic staple product. I’d argue #1 in all if kerastase products!
