Great addition to my overnight serums

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This serum leaves my ends looking more hydrated when I wake up in the morning. It smells good and feels light and absorbs quickly. I use it a few times a week and I don't notice a lot of product buildup. I'd keep using this but then I tried their Ultimate Reset overnight serum and I like that one more. I'm happy to have both serums on hand so I can alternate between the two.

Made my hair feel really nice

Best hair serum to de-frizz unruly straight, wavy, or curly hair. I’ve been using 4 pumps for 4 weeks, every other night, and directly after washes on damp hair. I love this product. No more frizz! I have 20” long, highlighted hair, course texture, wavy type. Can wear my hair straight (with heat) or wavy (naturally) or curly (natural + diffuser heat). Thank you Shu Eumura. :)

It made my hair super smooth and hydrated. I recommend this product if you have thick and coarse hair with frizzy ends. My new favorite product now.

Seems to help with frizz & Smells Good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My hair used to be crazy thick, curly, long, beautiful and healthy. Over the last few years it's become extremely brittle and breaks easily, falls out by the handfuls so now it's super thin, top half doesn't seem to grow anymore, dry, wavy, just awful and I don't know what to do at this point. I used a box of "G" hair dye about two years ago and by the time I was done putting it in my hair I started smelling my hair burning so immediately washed it out and contacted the company. Turns out it was expired and they offered nothing, no help whatsoever. My hairs been awful since. This product smells great! Clean and fresh, neither feminine or masculine. You only use 2-3 pumps to put in the mid section and ends and tie your hair up loosely at night. I don't think my hair is fixable at this point so I can't really say I've seen much of a difference except it doesn't seem as frizzy. It doesn't leave your hair greasy or anything and doesn't need washed out which is a huge plus. I'll continue to use what I have and hopefully can see a difference and update my review.

The holy grail of hair products

Didn't work for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used used the product in l on my hair dry and damp. Both times my hair felt soft in the morning. I did have trouble styling my hair. My curls wouldn't stay. It also took me several tries to figure out how much product I needed and where exactly to put it. I never put it near my scalp but my hair tended to get oily quicker than normal. I loved the smell and how soft my hair felt, but I don't think I can use it on a regular basis.

Super soft hair

I used this product for several nights in a row, working it through my ends on dry hair right before bedtime. Each time I woke up with super soft and hydrated hair. I used it after towel drying my hair and was really hoping that it would control my frizz for the following day. I usually wash my hair before bed so I sometimes wake up with messy hair. Fantastic for color and heat damaged hair!

I have very fine shoulder length hair that's been put thru the wringer for years between bleaching and hair styling- this left my hair soft and visibly healthier. I put about two pumps of product and work it thru mid length to my ends and really concentrate on my ends. This worked out great for me, I feel due to my fine straight hair texture, it was enough to make a difference without weighing my hair down. It absorbed easily on my dry hair and actually made it look great before bed. It tamed all my frizz and redefined my curls. When I woke up my hair looked more tamed than usual. I just needed to touch it up and bit and I was ready to walk out of the house. I really liked that it didn't add any additional oiliness to my hair. My hair feels nourished but not heavy. It's usually difficult for me to hydrate my hair in the winter, but this Shu Uemura Essence Absolue Nourishing Taming Overnight Serum hydrate and nourish my hair while I sleep, allowing me to finally wake up with a healthy soft and shiny hair. The serum penetrates every strand without leaving any greasy stains or spots on any of my linens. I like to apply two to three pumps just before bed and style it the morning. Another plus is that it also protects my hair against future dryness with very little effort required on my end . I adore how little work it takes on my part to prevent my hair from getting dry in the future. Great serum

I worked the products through with my finger then proceeded with a comb to make sure it was evenly distributed. I ended the process with 2 braids and went to sleep. Soft hair with healthy shine

I don't know if it will bother those sensitive, but it didn't bother me. It is a super light fragrance that is nice and not overpowering. The oil itself isn't too greasy, not too runny, & applies nicely. It leaves hair with a healthy sheen & soft to the touch feel. I think this will be good as we enter colder temps to keep hair soft & with a nice sheen. I only got a small sample, and I feel I need to use it longer to see long-term results. That is the only reason I gave it 4 stars & not 5.

Obsessed!!

While there was some reduction in frizz, overall I didn't notice much of a difference using this product. I have thick hair, so I think it may work better for those with finer hair than me!

moisturizes my curls

Love this overnight hair serum!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like Shu Uemura Essence Absolue Nourishing Overnight Hair Serum. I leaves my hair silky soft and frizz free. I just use two pumps on each side of my hair and run it over my hair. When I wake up the next day my hair looks great! It's moisturized and my curls are bouncy. I highly recommend!

Love How it Makes My Hair Smell, Look, and Feel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this product! I used it before going to bed. I have long curly hair that gets frizzy if I brush it once it dries. I brushed it into my dry hair with my fingertips and braided it. I never have luck with dry shampoos and tend to need to wash my hair for it to look or feel good after a night's sleep. I wasn't sure how my hair would like this product. I was so excited to unbraid my hair the next day and see and feel how silky it was! I recieved this item in exchange for review, but now that I've tried it, I would buy it again and again. Smells intoxicating and my boyfriend was a fan of it too. It'll help save me time in the morning when I don't think I'll have time or energy for a whole shower! My hair's new secret weapon.

Amazingggg

Made my hair look worse

Softer hair

Silky smooth hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free in exchange for writing a honest review. I have straight hair with some curly baby hairs here and there. My hair is very thin but I have a lot of it, it is long and natural. Where I live I deal with humidity and high temperatures that make my hair frizzy and hard to control. I received this product about a week and a half or two ago and I've used it 6 times so far. I used it after washing my hair before bed. I also tried the wavy hair tricks it recommends. My hair is a bit long (almost waist length) so I used between 2-3 pumps. This serum is very light and has a delightful aroma. I let it sit overnight and in the morning my hair is soft and shiny. I've had multiple people compliment my hair since I started using this product. I will definitely be purchasing this product again and make a mandatory step of my hair care routine!

Not for my hair type

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product wasn't good for my kinky hair. It soften my hair but that was about all it did. It was easy to dispense from the small bottle and it was a nice product for a quick touch up. I actually ended up applying it to my wig before bed as a detangling product.

Smells so good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought the overnight serum smells wonderful. The scent is floral and yet sweet. I love the scent. I also thought that it did seem to make my hair less frizzy when I wake up in the morning. I did find that because my hair is so long, I did use 4 pumps instead of the recommended 2 pumps. I thought that 4 pumps was just the perfect amount to fully spread it in my hair. Overall, I would recommend this overnight serum to my friends and family.

Good for an add on

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product both at night alone and tried it in the morning as well to see if it could replace my current hair serum that I get from my stylist. I have chemically treated fine hair (a perm to make it wavy) that's naturally a bit oily but with the perm my ends need extra help. Unfortunately, it was not enough moisture to replace the serum I already use, so this would have to be more of an add on to my routine. I will say it has a nice light scent and does seem to be a decent product for what it is, but I prefer a short and easy hair routine so I will probably end up giving this away.

Smooth and silky, no frizz!

It tends to get dry, especially during winter. And in the humidity it gets thicker (expands) and frizzier and gets hard to control. Plus, with this ridiculous summer heat, the last thing I want to do is stand there drying my hair under a hot hot blow dryer. However, blowing it out seems to be the only way to make it silky smooth and not frizzy. But this product seems to do the trick!! I've tried it a few times on dry hair before bed. I was worried that I would wake up with really greasy hair, and oil all over my pillowcase, which could also lead to skin breakouts ( this has happened before with other oily hair serums). This serum is very light and did not leave any oil behind and it did not make my hair greasy at all. In the morning after using this overnight my hair is super soft, smooth, silky and no frizz! I would definitely recommend to give it a try.

Tames my thick & frizzy mane!

This product has done more to calm the flyaways in my hair than any other I have tried. It is lightweight, smells amazing, and it leaves my hair soft and manageable when I wake up.
