Game Changer

I always had awesome hair, no problems. The last year my hair has been awful. Dry, thinning & will not grow. It’s so depressing! I’ve tried so many different products. My friend told me about the shu uemura hair oil and let me just say it’s been a game changer. I use it morning & night. It does not leave your hair oily at all and I feel my hair has been so much better, not as dry, feels thicker and looks healthier. I am so happy with this product and will continue to use.

Not the same as original product

Essence Absolue Oil-in-Cream has been my go-to styler for the last 7 years. It styles my natural curl perfectly without the stickiness of a gel. This new formula is not the same. I tried it and my hair didn't react well to it at all. Heartbroken that I had found the perfect product and now it's discontinued.

Amazing smell and fantastic product for curly hair!

I was recommended this by my son (who also has curly hair). First the smell is intoxicating! Every time I use it the smell alone puts me in a happy place. But what will keep me coming back is the hold. My curls (2b-3a) are defined with NO frizz and NO crunchiness. Just soft! Love this! I am a shu uemura user for life!

Very Good!

The product provides a good level of moisture and makes my hair smell wonderful. I also noticed the breakage has lesson which I attribute to the moisterizing qualities in this product.

Another wonderful product..

It seems like they know exactly what Thick wavy and/ or curly hair needs I can't say enough about this creme, unlike other similar creams, my hair stayed smooth all day , keep it shape & even smelled fresh hours after applying. I used a little bit after washing my hair & just let my hair as it dry over night Usually I have to put my hair up so it doesn't get to frizzy if I go to sleep with it wet. I was able to leave my down all day & it looked great. I highly recommend

Moisturized Hair

The oil is a hybrid of different mousturizers that combine well and leave me with shiny hair. I have 4a hair and it gets very dry everyday. Helps moisturize hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product helped moisturize my hair considering I live in a desert fry climate. The only thing is since my hair is curly if I wanted to do some kind of styling to it the next day or following, it almost gave it a greasy type of feel. I'd need to Re wash before trying to style with a curling wand or something. Obviously it's for natural hair not a styling product but it was just something I noticed. I have a greasy scalp so it almost gave it that feel on the ends.

I like this product

Beautiful soft cream

A bit pricey

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was not expecting great things with this oil based product. Usually they make my hair feel over soft and my curls limp. Since I only shampoo 2x per week, I used this for 2 weeks. It took some adjustment but I found that 1-2 pumps was all I needed; more than that did make my hair limp. It did provide nice moisture to my curls and the good news is it will last quite a while.

I wanted to love this product

worth it but in moderation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First let me start off by saying that the description of the product confused me. You are supposed to be able to put this in your hair and on your body for moisture. At this price point I do not recommend doing that; however I can say that my hands are extremely moisturized since using this. I naturally have thick curly hair, 4c to be exact and the first time I used this product it took about 1/3 of the bottle to fully saturate my hair while damp. my hair dried beautifully and my curls were lightly defined. The second time I used it I placed it on my hair after blow drying it but before flat ironing it. Took less product to make my hair feel moisturized but i didn't get the best results with the flat iron. Going forward and my preferred way of using it is to put 2 or 3 pumps on my ends before I wrap my hair up at night. The product is not super thick or oily and since doing this my ends look like I just got me hair pressed. I also rub the remaining product into my hands and you can visible see a difference. I do not mind the scent and I would most likely purchase again as using it how i am now makes the product last longer for the price.

Great for long lasting hydration

Best Universal Hair And Skin Balm

I have 4C hair and I was skeptical on how it would be able to moisturize my hair and also work on my skin. But it is definitely moisturizing and had my curls feeling very juicy. Smooths my damaged hair

Works great!

I received this hair oil as a sample and was excited to try it. I use it after I get out of the shower and towel-dry my hair. The change in my hair has been AMAZING! Right away my hair had less frizz and was shiner and softer! Non-greasy leave-in moisturizer

I struggle with hydrating and locking in moisture. I typically use glycerin to draw in moisture but need to seal it. This product is a liquidy cream that comes in a pump bottle that is light and hydrating. I layered it on top of the glycerin and it worked well. Light and doesn't weight down hair. Non-greasy after use. Would purchase it again in the future!

Novel hairproduct

The key is to use enough to cover hair, but not so much that it makes hair sticky or oily. Once I figured out the right amounts (2-3 times), it made my hair feel very healthy after using a blow dry diffuser.

Works Best on Straighter Hair

This seems to hydrate my hair and it feels more silky and my curls look more defined. There is no crunch or hold but this product helps tame hair! Silky hair

Love this product!

It leaves my hair feeling soft and limits the frizz and I noticed a difference within one use. I don't love the smell but it isn't overpowering which is the only reason I gave it 4 stars. A velvety delight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never heard of this brand and nor have I ever tried. A product like this . It's always great to try new products to see how they interact with different types of hair textures. My hair is chemically relaxed . Currently my hair is very straight. I used two pumps . It's very rich and nourishing as described. In the end , I felt it was bit too heavy for my hair type . I feel that this product is more geared to those with dry / dehydrated hair .

Heathier, Fuller Hair!

I was a little skeptical because it said 'oil' but it did not make my hair greasy. It gave it a nice bounce and shine. With each use, I can tell my hair is being restored and healthier! Ultra Moisturizing Leave in Pre-Heat Treatment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] shu uemura's Essence Absolue Nourishing Oil-in-Cream is super moisturizing. A little goes a long way. The texture of the cream is very dense and rich. This product has a really subtle pleasant smell, not too overpowering. My hair feels really soft to the touch after using this product. When using this product becareful not too over use it or the oil-in-cream can weigh hair down. Overall great product for to bring back life to hair in need of moisture.

Wow! A must have

Perfection for my frizz-prone curls

This one did not disappoint. It's the perfect blend of smoothing oils and moisture. Not too heavy, not too light. The smell is light and fresh. It was easy to fit into my hair "cocktail" routine and great on its own too. This will be a permanent addition for me. I have fine, frizz-prone, hair. It's lightly highlighted in the front only. I have 2C type curls. Even though it's fine, I have tons of hair. So, I have a lot of hair challenges! Love this product!

Leaves hair tamed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a free sample from #Bzzagent and the hair oil works really well to tame frizz and provides a smooth finish when hair is air dried or with a hair dryer. It's very easy to apply, not actually an oil but an oil based crème which is nice smelling non greasy feel to hands after use.
