I will never buy shu uemura horrible product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product Free as a Sample Product. I absolutely did not like this product at all. I used shu uemura Essence Absolue Rich Nourishing Hair Oil-In-Cream. It made my hair so greasy made it look like I never washed my hair in months. This product smells absolutely horrible. I couldn't stand the smell it gave me ungodly migraine because the smell was so strong. I will never buy this product and definitely will not ever recommend this product to anyone.It made hair so greasy, slimy, oily, and nasty. So I again cannot recommend this product to anyone because I'll never use it again for any reason it's horrible

The GOAT

I have tried numerous oils, blow dry lotions, and this is the winner. My hairstylist used this on me and my hair felt soft and shiny and luxurious until the next time I washed my hair. It only requires one pump for mid lengths to ends, and my hair soaks it up. Best product for dry hair.

Beautifully Crafted Styling Crème

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a promotion but can effortlessly and honestly say, I'm hooked! I've always been a fan of the Shu Uemura product line, it can be a bit pricey but I'm well away of the high quality. About my hair texture, it's curly, thick, dry and frizzy. Over the years the amount of heat damage has taken a toll on my natural coils which aren't tight but more frizzy, but once I comb this crème through my hair, it was like night and day. There isn't a heavy residue or stickiness to it either. It's nice and smooth, and worked really well with other styling products. I can easily say I'm a believer and will happily purchase this for my hair.

It tamed a beast

Great hair oil!

Less frizz more softness

But this lightweight cream really helped my hair to look and feel more healthy. It is much less Frizzy it has a shine and it is much softer to the touch. New product is different

Please bring back the old formula and plastic tube! The pump is very difficult to use for someone like myself that uses the product daily. When it gets to the bottom, it’s impossible to get all of it out so you’re wasting product even if you try to do it turning it upside down. The tube was very efficient and you could cut it in half and scoop out all of the product. Most important it does not have the same fragrance-This one is much lighter and the product overall is not as thick as the previous product. It does not hold my hair, which is thick and curly the way the previous product did thus I must use more of it and it caused a good amount of money. Please, please reconsider.

Powerhouse product!

I have been using this product for almost three weeks and am so pleased with the results! First off, the scent reminds me of conditioners that my mom used to put into my (then) long hair as child. That nostalgia is magical enough but the real magic happens when I follow the product application with my hair dryer. My hair feels so soft and supple after it's dried. There is no noticeable frizz and my hair smells great. I highly recommend this product!

This comes in a pump, and high makes it very convent to use. The texture is similar to that of lotion, and it has a very sweet, coconut-like scent. Lastly, it's made with Camilla seed oil, which just gives it more natural air. I love that it's made with that instead of chemicals— it's just a refreshing change. I just wished it wasn't yellow— if it was baby blue, this product would have been perfect.

Really great product for blow-drying dry hair!

Not bad, but not my favorite

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product after I showered, just before giving myself a blowout. Over all, this product felt fine in my hair and I do like that it offers heat protectant! I have a couple of other products that are my go-to's for a perfect, frizz-free blow dry (mainly the color-wow extra strength dream coat and an R&Co spray), and I've just found that that combo works so well with my hair, it would be hard to find something to replace them. I also live in an extremely humid environment, so I need the extra strength anti-frizz that my color wow provides. Thinking that I'll like this product more during the winter time when humidity isn't such a problem!

A new favorite!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have thick, frizzy hair, that's in between curly and wavy. I have used other products that are too thick, greasy, and weigh my hair down. When I receive this product to try out and review, I was very excited. It smells very good, and the formula is very light. I can tell it's very nourishing for my hair. I use it and combination with straightening my hair, and my hair was silky soft.

Impressed!

Good consistency and lightweight

"Seal" existing split ends until the next haircut. I do not delude myself with illusions about miraculous care, I perceive them as a means of decorative cosmetics. And it is absolutely wonderful if a little care from them is still there. - hair is perfectly smooth, even, shiny: hair to hair - the oil really protects from bad weather, as well as from drying out indoors during the heating season - seals split ends - after applying to damp hair, the combing (untangling) process takes seconds - the oil smoothes the hair, makes it a single canvas, removes static (so relevant during the heating season) and fluffiness (in conditions of high humidity). - it does not stick together, does not weigh down, but thickens the hair

great for dry frizzy hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have dry and frizzy hair and it is hard to manage the hair after shower as it becomes very frizzy. I used this oil on my towel dried hair. It has very light fragrance and applied smoothly all over the hair. After the blow dry, the hair was soft and very manageable. I loved how my dry hair turned out soft and shiny and not greasy at all.

Saved my terrible postpartum hair regrowth

Totally worth getting!

The best heat protection

I’ve been using it for two months and I can confirm this cream is absolutely the best. I have used all the high end brands’ heat protectants, but my hair would turn to go frizzy and dry a day later. This cream did not do that and my hair manages to stay soft and smooth. It doesn’t weigh the hair down and the scent is not overpowering. I love it.

Game Changer

I always had awesome hair, no problems. The last year my hair has been awful. Dry, thinning & will not grow. It’s so depressing! I’ve tried so many different products. My friend told me about the shu uemura hair oil and let me just say it’s been a game changer. I use it morning & night. It does not leave your hair oily at all and I feel my hair has been so much better, not as dry, feels thicker and looks healthier. I am so happy with this product and will continue to use.

Not the same as original product

Essence Absolue Oil-in-Cream has been my go-to styler for the last 7 years. It styles my natural curl perfectly without the stickiness of a gel. This new formula is not the same. I tried it and my hair didn't react well to it at all. Heartbroken that I had found the perfect product and now it's discontinued.

Amazing smell and fantastic product for curly hair!

I was recommended this by my son (who also has curly hair). First the smell is intoxicating! Every time I use it the smell alone puts me in a happy place. But what will keep me coming back is the hold. My curls (2b-3a) are defined with NO frizz and NO crunchiness. Just soft! Love this! I am a shu uemura user for life!

The product provides a good level of moisture and makes my hair smell wonderful. I also noticed the breakage has lesson which I attribute to the moisterizing qualities in this product.

It starts out good but definitely leaves my hair on the greasy side with a smallll amount used too. Helps a little with frizz and smells really good so ill give it those positives at least.

Another wonderful product..

It seems like they know exactly what Thick wavy and/ or curly hair needs I can't say enough about this creme, unlike other similar creams, my hair stayed smooth all day , keep it shape & even smelled fresh hours after applying. I used a little bit after washing my hair & just let my hair as it dry over night Usually I have to put my hair up so it doesn't get to frizzy if I go to sleep with it wet. I was able to leave my down all day & it looked great. I highly recommend

Moisturized Hair

The oil is a hybrid of different mousturizers that combine well and leave me with shiny hair. I have 4a hair and it gets very dry everyday. After using the Shu Uemuea oil my hair is smoothed out and ready to style. I highly recommend to all hair types.
