Best Split End Serum

I have fine, thin, color treated hair and this serum is awesome! I apply starting on the ends of my hair and it always makes a comb through in my damp hair easy. This product does not make your hair look oily.

Very nice static hair tamer

This oil is very fragrant like a perfume, like a sweet aromatic scent. It doesn’t leave a trace of residue or leave my hair looking oily when it dries so that’s always nice.

Repairs damage

Didn't work for me

I have dry damaged middle aged thinning hair. I'm growing my hair longer and forgoing trims for now so my ends are a bad shape are pretty split. This oil didn't work for me. My ends still felt and looked dry after use. For now I'm sticking with MacV oil for my ends, but I'm intrigued by the new Elixir Ultime formula. I used it with a sample I got and I think I'll try that when my MacV runs out. Lastly, for heaven's sake Kerastase stop animal testing!

Winter treat!

The Keratase hair oil has really been a lifesaver! I have curly hair that's prone to breakage and frizz and this really knocks it right out while keeping my end super nourished and moisturized. Caused my hair to split, break.& frizz

I have long hair with some split ends, which are hard to prevent and even more difficult to manage. The split-end serum, "Kerastase Paris K Nutriive," claims to nourish and protect hair ends by preventing and reducing split ends and repairing existing damage. I've used this product for several weeks, applying it a few times weekly—hoping this is correct, as the bottle and box lack detailed instructions besides applying to the ends. The only clear warning is that the serum is highly flammable. But what are we sealing in? The ingredient list has long names I don’t recognize, with no mention of vitamins or minerals—only alcohol, which many advise against. Unfortunately, this serum did not improve my hair; it worsened the split ends and dried out my hair noticeably, making it brittle, frayed, uneven, and frizzy. Doesn’t Seem to be for Thin, Fine Hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to try this, but unfortunately am disappointment to say I am not a fan. The first reason being the scent. It is way too strong, in my opinion. The second, and biggest, reason I didn’t like it is because I feel like it is not compatible for thin, fine hair like I have. Any little bit of volume I can get with my hair is taken away and made to look even flatter with this serum. Doesn’t matter how little of an amount I use. I will say, however, this did seem to make my hair shinier.

Well Made Product

Shine

A pea-sized drop is enough to smooth my ends and give my hair a soft, healthy shine that looks like I actually slept. The texture feels silky without being greasy, and it does tame the little frizzies that I have all over. It does have a light, slightly odd scent. Not bad. Not the Best

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a miss for me, this time. I didn’t like the packaging because it lends itself to leakage and would just be easier with a pump. But I also didn’t really care for the fragrance. It’s kinda like that powdery, like, expired perfume that grandma wore. And really, it’s very similar to the other hair oils in my collection. It works ok I think, but I’m not even sure I had any broken ends to mend at the time. Probably wouldn’t recommend to friends or family.

Great for thick hair

I use it at night after letting my hair air dry and then put my hair in heat-less curls, and I think I have seen a difference in my hair texture. The scent is also so nice and lasts for days. Impressive results so far!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used this product on my ends the past couple of weeks after my hair air-dries completely. Using the handy dropper, I apply 3-5 drops to my palm, warm it by rubbing my hands together, and apply by patting gently from the middle of my hair to the ends. The serum feels nice on the hands - it has a velvety soft texture. I thought the fragrance was quite strong at first, but once applied to my hair it’s gentle and not overpowering. Since using, the mid-shaft to ends of my hair feel nourished, look and feel smoother, and overall seem healthier. I will continue to use the serum and hope for even more improvement with time. Since it doesn’t take much for a single application (up to 5 drops for my hair), the bottle should last quite a while.

Easy to use

The Photos Speak Volumes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I knew the product was good, but I honestly didn't realize just how much of a difference it actually made. For clarification, the before photo was taken on a morning with freshly washed hair, and I had just used a heat protectant and shine serum and then brushed it. The after photo interestingly enough was also taken the same day- almost 12 hours later AND after I had teased my hair for an event. It doesn't take a lot at all. For my length of hair, I used 3 drops and it was plenty, but sometimes I only will use 2. The smell is nice but not overbearing. I highly recommend this product before any event for that perfected hair.

Soft and shiny hair

Helps Fried Hair

Hair serum that adds smoothness and shine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this product on my rough air dried hair before I blow dry it and I can tell it does a nice job of helping to seal my hair cuticle and add smoothness and shine to my hair. I have highlighted, coarse, curly, frizzy hair so any product that can help seal my hair cuticle, prevent frizz, and add shine is a winner in my book. This product is also meant to help prevent split ends with cumulative use. I don’t have a lot of split ends right now, but I appreciate preventative products. I have included a before and after pic of my ends to show the difference. You can see the smoothness of my ends in the second picture. I also find the scent pleasant but not overwhelming.

Great smell

Bye, bye fizzy dead ends!

I was skeptical because I have very fibe hair and most oil products leave my hair greasy looking but to my surprise this one didn't. It actually made mt hair extreme soft but not weighted down. The smell is very light but pleasant compared to most haircare. Even my husband stated my hair didnt look frizzy at the ends anymore. Smells amazing!

Amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have long fine blonde hair that I am trying to keep healthy while I keep it long so was excited to try this split end serum. So far I have noticed that the ends of my hair look amazing after use. I love the consistency of the serum, it does on easily and doesn’t leave any sticky residue. I wash and blow dry my hair every second to third day so this serum has been a game changer in my weekly routine! Highly recommend!

Semi-effective, but messy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've got a love-hate relationship going with this product. I genuinely do think it makes my hair feel softer and tames the ends, but I also think it makes my hair look duller. I think my hair looks shinier in my before photo rather than in my after photo. I've only been using it on dry hair though, and I think that might be part of my mistake. I'm going to start using it on wet hair so that it doesn't straighten out any waves I may have. I think for me personally, it's best to apply before styling rather than after. The smell is pretty strong if you put your nose right to the bottle, but with the small amount that's needed to apply, the scent is not overwhelming and is quite pleasant. I wish the packaging would have come with more information. Most of the surface area on the bottle is a flammability warning, but I guess that's pretty important and deserves to take up a lot of space. The dropper is pretty messy though. I have yet to successfully dispense any single drops, it just pours off of the stick. And no matter how hard I try to keep clean, oil always gets on the outside of the bottle.

Leaves hair greasy

Kerastase Saved My Hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wanting to try Kerastase for a long time. It did not disappoint! It transformed my dry split ends. I was contemplating cutting my hair but Kerastase pulled through. I'm heavy-handed and was unsure about applying the serum, and I did apply too much the 1st time, but I followed the directions to a T after that and it was so much better! My slit ends look nothing like they did a month ago. The floral-ish scent is nice. I apply a very small amount over my hair for extra shine and it also takes my fly-aways away. This is a lifesaver. I'm not seeing as much breakage and my hair is transforming back to how it was before my thyroid issues. It's worth every penny!

Beautiful hair!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this for about 2 weeks. The protein and vitamin blended product is really nice. I have long fine hair and the ends split and break pretty easily. My ends are also dry. With this product I am finding it seals the split ends and makes my hair look healthy and adds a nice shine. I like to use this product in wet towel dried hair. The oil works into my hair easily and does not weigh my hair down or look greasy. So far I like this product. It makes.my hair look great even without styling. I think this product will work to cut down on split ends and breakage. This product should last a while as it only takes a small of product per use and does not need to be used everyday. I liked the dropper and was able to get drops very easily. The product also has a good fragrance and pretty packaging. It's a pleasure when a product delivers good results so I am definitely interested in checking out more Keratase Nutritive products.

Thick formula

As someone who gets split ends, I feel like this has improved their frequency with consistent use. I’m not a big fan of the scent however and I feel like it wasn’t super lightweight.

Hair shiny and healthy

The scent is subtle which I love because strong scents cause my nose to get very irritated. Easy to apply and comes in a very nice glass bottle. Love this so far and totally recommend it. Would definitely buy it when this is empty. My hair looks so shiny now and healthy.

Nice light weight hair serum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This definitely reduces the appearance of split ends. It is pretty fragrant but that dissipates throughout the day. It comes in a pretty sturdy glass bottle that has quite some weight to it. I have curly hair and in the photos I wanted it to be a testament to the product only so I put no other hair products in my hair. I will say that this is great as a finishing oil for curly hair after your cast is already set. It holds the curls together and reduces frizz. It adds shine without being overly oily and greasy like some oils. A little does go a long way though so start with just a small amount first.

Works wonders!

Great Hair Oil

Good addition to my hair care regimen!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I apply about five drops as directed to my dry ends, my hair immediately feels soft and supple. At first, it leaves a bit of residue that makes my ends look slightly weighed down, but once it fully absorbs, they actually appear fuller and healthier, not heavy or greasy at all (as shown in my last picture). So far, I’ve only used it when my ends start to feel dry on straightened hair and after a leave-in when wearing my natural texture. I plan to start applying it to my ends for wash-and-gos too, maybe even daily when I take them down. A little goes a long way, which I love. It has a very light, powdery scent that doesn’t linger or interfere with other products. Overall, I really like this serum so far. It leaves my ends feeling nourished and smooth, and I’d consider repurchasing once I run out, especially if I find it helps with length retention and reduces the breakage I’ve been noticing lately.

Liquidy, strong scented leave in serum for hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve heard great things about Kerastase but this is the first leave in product I’ve tried from them. It’s a very runny, liquid texture so be careful not to apply too much. The scent is strong, like hair perfume but I did like the scent. It’s pricey but it’s also a luxury brand. I have fine, thin straight hair and I have to be careful to only use 1-2 drops otherwise it does start to feel and look a bit heavy and greasy on my ends. Though the before and after photos looked the same to me, so maybe it’s just how I felt touching my hair.

Hair health journey

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My hair was extensively damaged from using a too hot hair straightener daily. The first photo of me in white is at the start of my hair recovery journey. All of my ends were spilt and fried, with the face framing pieces being the worst. I was scared I would have to chop all of my hair off. After two months of no heat and consistent use of these drops, I’ve seen considerable change. Sure, there is still a lot of damage, but it at least looks presentable now.

Seems good

The eyedropper packaging is great for application. I haven't used it long enough to know how effective it is, but I will continue to use it and update my review accordingly! It is a little pricey, but it does last a long time. I actually really like applying this, it's like skincare for your hair! Before picture is straighter while after is the braid out!
