Perfect Hydration for Curls!

I tried the Kérastase Bain Satin Shampoo, and I’m so impressed! It has a light, pleasant smell that isn’t overpowering. After using it, my hair felt incredibly hydrated, soft, and healthy. I have been using this shampoo for many years now. I have long thin hair that used to do little annoying frizzy. No more with this shampoo. I wash my hair once a week with the Bain Satin Shampoo followed by the mask. My hair love it- soft & shinny!!!

I really like it!

I really like this shampoo, smells great and doesn't bother my really sensitive scalp. Being "older" and "color challenged" I may need something a little more moisturizing so I'm trying a different Keratesse product this time.

Cleans without tangles

I shampoo once every 5-7 days, so my hair is quite dirty and has lots of different products in it. This shampoo cleans well but unlike other shampoos doesn’t tangle my hair. My dyed grey hair isn’t as frizzy since using Kerastase products as well. I am very pleased with the condition of my hair. Keeps my color nice as well.

Nothing special

I've been wanting to try this for years. Finally decided to try it, and find that it's no better than v05 from the dollar tree. It left my hair very dry and tangled. Paired together with the conditioner, I'm worse than when I started.

Another Favorite!

I use many products by kerastase and this shampoo is one of my favorites. When I feel like my hair is a little dry, I use this shampoo and with conditioner my hair is soft and manageable. The smell is a soft floral scent but not strong. I use the Mask and leave in my hair before blow drying my hair. It looks healthy, and smells good too.

Too heavy, not worth the high cost

Leaves my scalp very oily and I have a dry scalp. I will not buy this again, there are other salon level products that don’t cost as much that work better and don’t make your hair so greasy.

Good shampoo

I’ve been using Kérastase products since 2003 and have struggled to find an effective shampoo and conditioner that I love for years now. Kérastase is still the best on the market, but I’ve tried so many & they discontinued 2 of my favorite lines - the green volume line (d/c’d around 2012) being my absolute favorite. I’ve yet to find a GREAT PRODUCT. I have A LOT of fine, long, and color treated hair. This shampoo works for my hair and helps reduce dryness, but I think I need to start using the hair masks for my regular conditioner because this “conditioner” and others simply don’t work for me. My Hair is still very tangled, feels dry, and coarse. I do not have coarse hair - it is fine, but I have a lot of it. It can go flat quickly so I’m limited to lighter conditioners. This shampoo and conditioner helped, but I think I need to try one of the hair masks for more moisture and shine without weight

Doesn't feel good when being used but great after!

I really don't love the way this makes my hair feel after it's washed out, it almost makes it feel worse until my hair is dry, then paired with the thickening shampoo I feel like my hair does a 180. Not sure how this shampoo is without the conditioner! The 2nd time I used this my husband ran over to me and asked what happened in my shower because I suddenly smelled so good!

Professionally recommended

Not for me

I did not enjoy the Kérastase Nutritive Hydrating Shampoo for Fine to Medium Dry Hair. This product has a strange scent. I also really hate how you have to screw the whole top off and it doesn't stay attached to the bottle. This does not fit into my shower routine well. The product itself applied easily to my hair and lathered up well. Afterwards it feels like it weighed my hair down while also not hydrating it at all.

Great moisture!

I try a lot of different shampoos and haven't found one that I want to go to again and again. I have been impressed by this product line and I would recommend trying the shampoo and conditioner together. I couldn't tell when using the shampoo if there would be a difference. I do use a scalp shampoo brush and thoroughly clean my scalp everytime and I'm able to get a good lather going with the brush. By the time I had used the conditioner, it was immediately clear that it left my hair very soft in the shower and the hair was not overly dry after blow drying and heat styling. I've been using it consistently for over a month and haven't had any regrets!

Love the shampoo, hate the smell

The only thing I don't like about it is the smell. It's horrible! The bottle is nice too and seems like it would smell luxurious, but it smells like baby powder and ammonia. Very old woman smelling. I wish this had a different fragrance because I love the actual product. Luckily the scent doesn't last long and if you use a scented styling product you won't notice it.

Solid shampoo from a great brand

When I used the shampoo, conditioner, and leave in conditioner, it gave me shiny smooth hair similar to what I would get at a salon. My hair felt healthy. The smell was good, however, I prefer the smell of Premiere over the Nutritive line. I would buy this line again if Premiere was not available.

Not as moisturizing as hoped

I have bleached and fashion colored hair, so in addition to having dry hair anyway my hair is processed and sometimes a bit… crunchy. I was hopeful that this product would moisturize my hair as advertised, but sadly I think it has only dried it out more. After using the shampoo and before using the conditioner I could feel how dry my hair had become after one wash. After using the conditioner it was better, but still not what I had hoped for. Maybe it isn't meant for processed hair.

Buying it againnnnn

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first impression of this shampoo is the formula, it doesn't make my hair greasy or unclean after I wash it twice before the conditioner. Next thing's this smell so good with nice fragrance like the one at the salon and it's last all day. My hair is usually get tangled at the dyed part and sometimes it takes time to brush it but after drying, it is really soft and shine even if I usually using heat to style. I would recommend for those who have dry to really dry hair. I love it.

Amazing Shine!

I love the packaging, I think it's super cute! This shampoo smells amazing! It has a very unique scent. It's not too strong or overpowering but I love how I can still smell it even after washing my hair. With most shampoos and conditioners, the scent will wear off after I'm done washing my hair. A little goes a long ways for the application. I used about a dime size amount and it was enough to make suds. My hair feels a lot more cleaner and softer. For the price point it is more on the high end side but it's well worth the coins! I would highly recommend this shampoo (which I also used with the conditioner and thermal cream from this same line).

My Haircolor Lasts So Longer and Hair is Shiny

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start off by saying that my hair is recovering from bleaching the life out of it for over 20 years. My hair is thin, baby fine, dry, chemically damaged, and breaks easily. It's hard to find good hair products that can treat the dryness without adding tons of oil that weigh my hair down. This shampoo has changed my life! The shampoo itself feels silky and you need very little to get a good lather. It rinses out without leaving a heaviness behind. My hair felt nourished immediately. My only issue is the smell of the shampoo. It is reminiscent of a heavily perfumed flower. It smells almost sharp if that makes sense. It gave me a headache. But I will continue to buy this product based on the performance of the shampoo. My hair looks amazing!

Must try Shampoo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this shampoo for the last few days. I have fine wavy damaged hair with the matching conditioner, and I really like it. I noticed my hair is moisturized and not as greasy as other shampoos have left my left my hair. The smell is wonderful. I recommend

Shompoo leaves my hair so soft and shiny!

Just ok

Not For Me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to try this Kerastase shampoo after my salon recommended it several times. I used it three times before deciding my poor experience wasn't a fluke. The shampoo tangled my hair and did not suds up unless I used a handful of product. However, the scent is light and not too synthetic. This is definitely more suited to fine hair and would not work for someone with thick hair.

Softer hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shampoo made my hair feel softer however I did not like the smell of it. Which is preference. I like for my shampoos to be fragrant so that my hair smells nice. This shampoo smells like ivory soap.

Absolutely Not

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This will not be a go to for me. I love Kérastase but this isn't the best representation of how amazing their products are. I really wanted to love this but I don't. My hair looked worse after using it and you couldn't tell that it was even clean. I had to use a ton just to wash my short hair. To be a hydrating product, it didn't hydrate. My hair did not feel or look any better after use. A huge disappointment for me.

Amazing hydration boost!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little apprehensive about using the Nutritive Hydrating Shampoo for Fine to Medium Dry Hair from Kerastase because hydrating products haven't always meshed well with my hair. But my hair loves this! I have a lot of hair and it's gotten really fine over the years. The shampoo has a really nice scent. It lathers and rinses out really well. My hair always feels really clean after rinsing. My hair feels AMAZING once it dries. It's so soft, hydrated, looks shiny, and feels like I just left the salon. I wouldn't recommend using this for EVERY wash. I've been alternating it with other shampoos because I don't want to over-hydrate. However, I would recommend this line if you're hair is feeling dry and needs that hydration pick me up. The hydration lasts.

I mean….

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to try this line of hair products and was very grateful to receive this for free in exchange for a review. The shampoo and conditioner have some potential but I feel like my hair is dryer than before I used it. The leave in product feels a bit too heavy for my fine hair. I want to love it because I have color treated hair but I just can't say I do.
