Miracle product

SAVED my hair! I moved to a state with different and harder water and my hair started to break off. Like you would touch it and it would shed shards of hair. I lost about 5 inches and was devastated. Nothing would stop the breakage. I tired expensive customized brands and nothing would work. Until I found this. My hair stopped shedding and looks and feels great. I finally have my hair back. Love this product. For context. I have thick color treated hair, mostly 3B type curls and use heat styling.

Shiny and healthy looking hair

It has a nice lather and after rinsing my hair does not feel stripped. Even after the first use my hair already looked healthier and shinier. Feels Just Like a Salon Shampoo Should

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a swimmer with platinum highlights, I struggle to keep my hair from looking brassy, so I started using it three days after getting fresh highlights. The Metal Detox Shampoo has a rich foamy lather that seems utterly impossible to achieve in a sulfate-free product. It didn’t leave my hair feeling stripped, so I was really surprised at how well it cleansed. It feels almost like a clarifying shampoo but doesn’t leave the scalp feeling tight. My hair has never had any sort of body to it at all. Our city is known for having hard water. I always ask my colorist why my hair feels so different at home than from when I leave the salon. I have finally found the ultimate shampoo that lives up to what it claims! I used the tiniest amount, as this is highly concentrated. It smells so clean and fresh, too! An at-home treatment trio formulated to deter penetration and remove metal deposits from the hair shaft. I love the sleek white and black packaging. I didn’t need too much shampoo to get a really nice rich foamy lather which felt very nice in my hands and on my scalp, i made sure to give myself a scalp massage with the shampoo and used my rubber scalp massage tool. After rinsing i noticed my hair felt so much lighter and wasnt as easily “tangled” as it normally is. Clarifying

I have really thick long wavy color damaged hair and even though this is sulfate-free it was definitely detoxifying to the strands so if you use this follow up with nourishing conditioner as well. The texture and fragrance of the shampoo was nice it’s very unisex citrusy and musky it lathered up really well and I felt cleansed. I unfortunately had more problems with dandruff almost instantly after using this for a couple of days and didn’t notice much of difference when it came to improvement in hair damage so I just don’t think it was for me.

L’Oreal metal detox shampoo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a licensed cosmetologist, my passion is hair. I wanted to try Metal Detox Sulfate-Free Shampoo. My hair type: 4A curly/lose coils, I have lightener and semi permanent hair color My scalp: seborrheic dermatitis (tends to get oily and dry, I guess you can say I have combination scalp) My first impression: packaging is small but the shampoo is very concentrated. The scent is pleasant doesn’t linger if you are scent sensitive. Applying was easy. A quarter size amount of the shampoo emulsifies very well. The shampoo cleanses well without stripping my natural sebum on my scalp. After the first cleansing my hair felt soft and didn’t feel weighed down or dry. It didn’t ruin my color nor my curls. This shampoo opened my eyes to my water has never been pure for my hair. Definitely I would recommend this product for all hair types especially when there are hard or metal water in the pipes.

Shiny Shampoo

After just one wash my hair was visible improved. It was incredibly soft and shiny! I couldn’t stop touching my hair and running my fingers through it. I was amazed by the softness. I have stick straight hair and after the shampoo it all laid down like I had styled it. There were no stick up hairs anywhere. I also have colored hair to hide the grey and I felt like it revived my color even though it’s been a couple months since I colored it. A little goes a long way with the shampoo. I would probably use a quarter size of the shampoo and it foams up beautifully. Lots of bubbles! I can say I am not a fan of the scent. It is a little strong but it fades. I can deal with the smell because of how amazing my hair looks! I would recommend this shampoo to everyone with hair!

Fantastic detangler

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I worked in beauty retail for more than seven years, and have been growing out my hair consistently for more than half of my life, so hair products have always been a big a part of my daily routine. Currently my hair is down to my lower back and I have super thick hair. So I have to use a little more product than the average person. When using this I divided my hair in half, and applied on pump per half. I used this as a detangler and heat protectant after using the shampoo and mask from the same line. I was very pleasantly surprised by how much softer my hair felt after using this line and I would definitely recommend it to others who live in a house with old pipes and who haven’t gotten around to buying a filter for their shower head like me. I have to say that the smell of this line was not my favorite. It is heavily perfumed, and it’s hard to pinpoint what the main scent is meant to be (I can smell some floral hints, but to be honest I’ve never been big on products where I can’t tell what the scent is, especially when it’s incredibly strong to the point where it can make me cough). But that is personal preference, so I am only taking off one star from my review. If this line offered other scents, this would have been a five out of five because I saw and felt immediate results with this product.

My new fav shampoo

My hair needed this shampoo!

I forgot to bring my regular hair products and my hair definitely took a beating from the non filtered water and the sulfate shampoo products they had supplied in the bathroom. Ultimate metal removal

It has an indescribable scent that I have ONLY smelled at the salon (I always try to recreate it, even with the same products and it's always a fail). I love that you don't have to use that much product for an amazingly rich lather. It cleans my hair without making it feel stripped or dry. I am excited to see further results after continued use.

Amazing prep

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Metal detox is an amazing line but my favorite hands down is the shampoo. This shampoo is like no other and is the ultimate prep product. As a beauty expert I always use this for my at home color. I have curly/coily textured hair and noticed more elasticity and was able to detangle easily. If you have hard water and/or frequently book chemical or heat services (blowout/silk press) get this! It will neutralize heavy metals in the hair, and gives me the best canvas for any of my hair desires. I recently used this as prep for a demi permanent application. I couldn't believe have much more vibrancy the end color had as I used my usual color formula. The obvious difference was metal detox.

Great restorative shampoo for color treated hair!

After using this product for the past week, I can tell that the strength of my hair has improved and it appears less damaged. I really needed a sulfate free color sage shampoo that works against metal build up. With it being sulfate free I will say that it still suds like a sulfate shampoo which I enjoy. I also like that it helps to prevent breakage and improve hair strength. My stylist does her best not to damage my hair, but the inevitable happens due to heat, etc. I will say that I have been using this mask along with the Metal Detox mask and hair oil as well and think that it works best when using all 3.

This does not have to replace your ride or die shampoo. Use this once a week in your hair care routine to save your hair from those harsh metals that are in our water. Your hair will feel softer, smell amazing, and keep the color brighter. The small alone is amazing, but if you are sensitive to dents you might need to be careful. My hair hasn't felt this soft or look so shiny expect from when I go to the salon. Your hair will thank you! I was surprised by the texture, however, most shampoos are clear and runny, but this is more of a conditioner texture. White and thick. A little goes a long way this bottle will last you a long time!

This product works on removing metal buildup caused by hard water scaling from your shower. The hard water really does a number on your hair removing all nutrients and drying out your hair and skin. I suffer from hard water issues from my shower, and I have to add so much product to soften it back up. The Metal Detox shampoo helps protect your hair and provides sheen and repair to your hair. The shampoo lathers up immediately on the first wash. Having thick hair, I really appreciate this! The shampoo is sulfate free and prevents breakage for those who have color on their hair. It actually helped to keep my grey hair ruly. Most shampoos take two washes before you get a good lather to cover my entire head, Metal Detox did it in one wash. I had suds galore on the first wash and I love the Citrus scent. The smell is very soothing and refreshing. I had an idea that this product would be amazing, and it did not disappoint. When experiencing the product, I felt my hair's curls formed easier and had a sheen to them when it dried. The shampoo moisturized and hydrated my split ends better than expected. Can I say that this product just elevated to being one of my favorite products?

Doesn't dry out my dry hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have worked in the beauty industry for over 5 years and I have tried many  shampoos, none that claim to remove metals from the hair so that is a first for me. I have fine curly hair that can sometimes be super dry and so I struggle with a shampoo that doesn't leave my hair feeling dehydrated.  After a couple of uses of the metal detox shampoo, my hair feels so soft to the touch. I can't say for sure how well it actually removed the metals from my hair but I can say that my hair feels great.  I am a sucker for a shampoo that lathers well and this one does not disappoint, creating a super nice foam.  This also smells great which is an added bonus.

A must have in your hair routine

Of course the most unique benefit of this shampoo is the metal detox, and I felt a huge difference after the first use. After using it one time, my hair already felt the softest it’s been a long time. And u didn’t need to use too much to get a good lather going. A new staple in my routine!

I have blonde, dry hair and no matter what shampoo I used my hair was a huge tangled mess after. This is the first shampoo in a long time to not tangle my hair, It was nice to be able to throughly work the hair mask from this line into my hair after using the shampoo. I also noticed my hair had a nice shine to it along with a soft silky feeling. The shampoo had a nice woodsy citrus scent that was prominent through the rest of the metal detox line that I tried.

I have a lightweight bounce. Hair combing is a breeze with minimal breakage. I see a nice and healthy shine. I really love the results. My hair feels so refreshed and renewed each time. I find that a little of the product goes a long way. It works up to a nice lather. I can feel my hair getting an instant lift and volume as I am shampooing. The formulation is just fantastic. It is able to give me an effective clean, while not stripping my hair of moisture. I love the idea that it protects hair from the harsh elements in the water. I definitely see a difference in the look and feel of my hair afterwards. My hair has a nice lightweight flow. It doesn't feel dry, but soft. I am hooked. I reach for this often, because it delivers good results. The only drawback is the scent is too strong to my liking. But, the good thing is the scent doesn't linger too long after I rinse off the shampoo. I've noticed that after using the product a couple of times, the scent is not as strong as when I first tried it. I am happy that the scent is starting to fade and not as pungent. Overall, I would love to recommend this to others to try. I see a difference in the look and feel of my hair, proving this works.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am seeing Metal Detox by L’Oréal Professional sold on a consumer level. As a licensed cosmetologist, I’ve used the salon version of these products many times over the last 3 years. Metal Detox was created specifically to detoxify and neutralize the metals trapped inside the hair fibers. Metals can get trapped in one’s hair from at home hair-color, and metals in the water from pipes or water plants. We professionals prefer to strip metals in hair in the hopes of protecting hair from drying out. For some, the removal of metals brightens highlights, soften hair strands and improves the over all elasticity. As a consumer, I felt as though the aroma was mild. One of the things I love about the salon version is the stronger scent. Musky Lemongrass and Citrus mix isn’t for everyone, but I love it. This sulfate free shampoo has a 12 month air to openness date. Depending on your shampoo schedule, I’d recommend using this product once a week to every two weeks. Its container holds 300 milliliters/ 10.1 fluid ounces. It comes in an easy to squeeze bottle. Depending on your hair’s density and length a little bit of shampoo can go a long way. As someone with curly hair, I find it better to apply the shampoo to dry hair then add water. It creates a better lather. My only concern is the Pearlized color, it is used too often for the attraction of consumer products. I actually wish all clarifying shampoo were required to be clear.

Noticed results right away!

I have pretty curly frizzy hair that can feel dry and dull. This shampoo and system really brought it back to life. It looks shinier and feels very clean. I really loved the consistency of the shampoo and how it sudsed up a bunch. Also the smell is amazing. Clean and a bit citrusy with light floral. It just smells clean! I noticed my hair was easier to detangle

Although I personally don’t dye or process my hair, it has experienced damage and normally feels dry and/or brittle. This shampoo produces a nice thick and silky lather. Once it was completely rinsed, I could feel my hair shift to smoother locks. I noticed my hair was easier to detangle and that’s not something that’s an easy task for me to. The scent doesn’t smell like chemicals or too strong like many salon products and I found it to be pleasant, even as someone sensitive to fragrance. First impression is a ten for me. Super Shampoo

I never knew I needed metal detox for my hair

I’ve been in the beauty industry for almost 20 years and most shampoos tend to dry my hair out. I enjoyed using this shampoo because of the lightweight scent that was refreshing. I enjoyed the creamy foam that it created. I used the shampoo with the mask and accompanying hair oil and love that it gave my hair lightweight moisture, without being heavy. I certainly noticed that I had less buildup in my hair, even when I used oil on it every single day. The shampoo did not over-strip my hair and I felt that it did something different from the normal detox shampoos that I’m used to using. I also noticed that my scalp is less itchy and feels fresher. That alone is worth a repurchase.

As a hairdresser it’s so important that clients can find products like this to use at home to help maintain the integrity of their hair. I was so happy to give this a try I have hard water and I can tell how it affects my hair. This shampoo is on the thick side so it’s best to lather in your hands and then disperse onto the hair. After it is spread out I start to lather and I add more water on my hair so it really foams up. No need for a shower filter

I have a lot of thin semi-wavy hair and haven't dyed my hair since 2002. I am very low-maintenance when it comes to hair meaning I rock bed head and so I don't brush my hair on a daily. However, I am a hoarder of hair cleansing products. I love this product removing harsh metals without buying a shower filter. My hair tends to break and fall out a lot every time I wash my hair. It has a nice smell and love that is it SLS & SLES free, but some of the ingredients in this product I found a bit problematic for long term usage, so I wouldn't repurchase.

A must have for anyone with hard water

That being said, this detox shampoo is fantastic. Upon opening, you will notice it has a musky aroma that is very strong. After a few uses, I noticed I adjusted to how strong it is, and now i love the scent of my hair. Next, you will notice you really only need a dime size amount for medium length hair. This product lathers extremely well. Now, most shampoos that claim to be a detox leave your hair stripped and feeling like straw. This does not leave the hair feeling that way at all. I highly recommend this product for anyone living with hard water.

Best Sulfate free Shampoo?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first received it I was worried this would dry out my product at first because it is a Detox product, let alone a Metal Detoxing product. Most Detox hair products tend to leave hair brittle and dry. The Shampoo has really good consistency, like a gel cream which helps it from not pour out of my hands, and lathers up really well on my hands and my actual hair without stripping my hair of moisture. Only con for me is the scent, it's too masculine.

Great product, too much perfume

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sulfate-free shampoo produces a luxe thick foam that thoroughly cleanses my hair and scalp without stripping my hair color. My hair was softer, and bouncier, and looked and felt more voluminous. I also noticed I could go a day or even two longer between washings. Love that. But what, prey tell, is so offensive about these ingredients that it is so heavily perfumed? It's so over the top circa 80’s Aramis. I had to rinse longer to tamper down the scent. The perfume is listed in the top third of the ingredient deck. That's strong. I’ll still use this from time to time, but even my family stayed it was the strongest-smelling shampoo they’d ever used.

Must have shampoo for your routine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a cosmetology student and colorist, I am always looking for ways to maintain the integrity of my clients’ hair before, during, and after chemical processes. I was excited to try the Metal Detox Sulfate-Free Shampoo on my own year-old color-treated hair. The first thing I noticed was the smell; it’s lightly-fragrant, unisex, and light. Also, a small amount of product gives you a great lather for the whole head of hair — all without tangling the hair! The shampoo actually provides the “slip” that my 4A hair needs for a seamless shampooing experience. The shampoo cleanses, but doesn’t dry out the hair. I did go in with a moisturizing shampoo afterwards, to ensure my hair had the moisture it needed after my protective style, but it wouldn’t be necessary if there wasn’t product build-up. I even used it on my husband’s beard and he loved it! I don’t have any qualms with this product and can’t wait to use it on my clients’ on the salon clinic floor.

Big difference in hair since first use

I recently got the opportunity to try L’Oréal metal detox products and since first use, I noticed a big difference in the texture and feel of my hair. The shampoo is creamy, sulfate free and has a really good lather. It cleanses my hair and scalp without drying and removes metal particles found in water improving hair health and shine. The scent I perceived was a bit masculine but feels luxurious and not overpowering. I have been alternating this shampoo with my regular shampoo and I wash my hair every other day. I can’t get enough of how soft, healthy and shiny my hair looks since I started using the metal detox products (shampoo, mask and oil)

Protect your hair from any metal in water

I notice when put little on my hand start massaging through hair I love lather up easily with little effort. I love how made my hair felt really clean and soft. I also love how didn't strip my hair of any of its natural oils. My hair look well nourish and very refresh. Soft shampoo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only wash my hair once a week, so I was only able to use this once before reviewing… I usually have to wash my hair twice, and I didn’t this time, just to see how well it worked… But I should have still washed it twice. After washing, I still felt like I had a ton of buildup on my scalp, such as dry skin, and oil. Also, after washing my scalp did feel a little bit itchy, but while washing my hair did feel silky, smooth.

Love this for my curly hair!

I decided to give it a try anyway because I know that we tend to accumulate harmful metals in our hair. Since this helps to remove them, I figured, why not? The first thing I noticed when opening this bottle was its soft citrus peel fragrance. Unlike most citrus scents, this one was not too strong or overpowering. Instead, it offers a mild and refreshing sensorial experience. While washing my hair with this L’Oreal Metal Detox Shampoo, my hair instantly felt a lot more silky and manageable. It provides a really nice lather and is quite concentrated, so you don’t need much. After blow drying and styling my hair, it appeared a lot shinier, softer and healthier. Wow! My hair has never felt better

For the past year I’ve felt like my hair has felt brittle and dry. I often get clients asking me for shampoo recommendations and I haven’t found any I absolutely love. I picked up the L'Oréal Professionnel Metal Detox Sulfate-Free Shampoo and OMG! It exceeded my expectations not only for myself but for my clients! I use the line in conjunction with the rest of the recommended products, the masque and hair oil. The shampoo only requires a little amount. It actually expands in your hands and on the hair. I did a really good shampoo, taking my time to cleanse the scalp and hair. This detox actually removes buildup on the hair from minerals found in water, so take the time to rub it through the hair. It smells great and leaves hair feeling hydrated and not stripped. I recommend following with like Products for the full effect. I also recommend using only once a week if you’re washing your hair 3x a week. For those that wash maybe every 4-5 days, cleanse with a normal shampoo to cleanse scalp and then cleanse with this detox (so double cleanse only using the detox once). Super happy with this product!!

A True Game Changer

Scalp care is one of my top priorities for myself and clients. I live in an area with really hard water, so I looked forward to giving this product a shot. The woodsy scent is great- mostly cozy & warm, but not too overwhelming. The shampoo is on the thicker side which I appreciate. You don’t need too much and it lathers well. My scalp felt clean, but not stripped of natural oils. Plus I just refreshed my color a week before using this product and the color was noticeably brighter. My blowout even lasted about 5 days before I felt I needed some dry shampoo. I’m pretty impressed by this product to be honest. Definitely a must-have!

I never thought I needed a Metal Detox product for my hair given that I use clarifying products on a weekly basis. However, they are not the same. This product can be used daily, personally, I use it every other day or third day when I wash my hair. It truly does give your hair a new healthy feel/look. Need This In My Life

I am not a cosmetologist but I have been color treating my hair for the last 15 years—I transition between brunette, blonde, and red. Because of constant color treating and the fact that we have well water, which naturally has a lot of metal in it, I feel this line was developed exactly for my hair! I was so excited to be able to try the line and I saw immediate benefits after one use. Even with a filter, I still need a product that will combat damage from color treatment and metal exposure. I absolutely loved the rich lather from the professional shampoo and pleasing aroma. It left my hair feeling healthy, strong, and protected. I noticed immediately, significant improvement in the red color of my hair, in the breakage, and my split ends. A little product goes a long way and the product was easy to rinse from my hair. After finishing the routine in the line, I toweled dried my hair and brushed my hair. I noticed that my ends looked stronger and that I was having significantly less hair loss from breakage. I am done searching, this is the Shampoo and the Metal Detox is the only product I need/want in my life!

soft detoxifying shampoo

This shampoo will leave your hair super soft and will give you a very manageable mane to deal with. I am still not extremely convinced on metal detoxing part but may be I need to have a little bit more time using it to really delve into the metal detoxing benefit. The very first time I used it my hair had a million flyaways but was not frizzy or puffy which was a plus. It makes a world of difference when you use a good shampoo to manage your styling needs. More I used the shampoo more I realized how much more manageable my hair became with a right type of softness to enjoy. Metal detox sulphate free shampoo comes in a classic bottle that is very recognizable from L'oreal.

Great Cleanser

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Loreal Metal Detox Professional Shampoo is a very unique product! This is one of those products that you don't know that you need until you find out there is such a thing. The water quality here in my area is not the greatest, it is quite hard even with a water softener. It's unavoidable having to use this water, so this is where the Metal Detox Shampoo comes into play. This shampoo smells wonderful. It reminds me of a fruity floral scent which is quite nice when washing my hair. I love the creamy texture of this shampoo. It lathers up nicely and it really does cleanse my hair well. My hair not only feels cleaner after using this, it also feels stronger. I color my hair regularly and have not noticed any negative impacts from this product on my hair.
