Super soft

Heavily Perfumed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a complimentary gift of Kerastase Hair Mask in exchange for my honest opinion. The hair mask left my color treated hair feeling soft and smelling amazing, but unfortunately I found this heavily perfumed hair mask irritated my skin and scalp. After using for the past two weeks my scalp is dry, itchy and flaky. If I avoid placing this product only on my ends I am able to condition my hair without irritation. I am also not a fan of the packaging and would prefer a squeeze bottle or pump so I don’t have to stick my fingers directly into the jar. I wanted to like this hair product, but unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work well for me.

All this to say my hair gets a bit of a beating. I have naturally thick hair but I shed quite a bit. I am no spring chicken. This hair mask is quite effective. My hair felt very shiny, smooth, manageable, silky and full. Flyaways and frizz were to a minimum. My only tiny critique is scent. Not terrible but a bit like pool water or insect repellent. Not terrible but not delightful/delicious. Worth it for the payoff.

Soft Locks

Can’t stop running my fingers through my hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gosh I didn’t want to love this due to the price tag and the jar, but my hair has NEVER been smoother or stronger! I’ve been using this once a week following the Kérastase Genesis shampoo and I cannot stop running my fingers through my hair! It is the softest I have ever felt. After a few weeks, I’ve definitely noticed less breakage and more nourished looking hair. Although it’s only intended to be used once a week as more of a luxury in the shower, I have never loved a jar in the shower. It feels unsanitary when shower water gets in it and I also dislike that I need two hands to open and close the jar.

My one suggestion would be to increase the fragrance a little bit. It’s very subtle and it doesn’t stay in your hair so I guess for those who don’t like fragrance in their shampoo it’s a great fit for me. I have long thick hair and even tho I get regular trims and don’t apply too much heat my ends always end up feeling dry and thirsty, no matter what I do they always end up feeling like I need a little bit more. Well I tried this hair mask after I washed my hair and I just say that I live the results! My hair was soft and silky, felt hydrated and more important my end felt revitalized and fresh! I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to try this hair mask! The texture of the hair mask is very pleasant not overly goopy or sticky, spread easily onto the hair, the scent is lovely not overwhelming or too strong and it rinses very easy. Hydration station

I have dry hair that is very much prone to breakage as it’s been chemically processed before, and I noticed instant softness and hydration with these two products. I start with the shampoo, rinse, and then apply the mask to towel dried hair and leave it on for five minutes. Instant softness and manageability! I use this whenever my hair needs extra hydration. Rejuvenating Mask

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My hair felt and looked like I got done at the salon after my first use of Kèrastase hair mask at my own home. My hair was soft and smelled clean. The circular packaging made it easy to dip your hand in while showering to apply the mask as well. Would recommend to my dry hair girlies.

Super Soft and Smells Great!

Very moisturizing, Scent a bit strong

Overall, I am happy I purchased this mask. My hair always feels less crispy after most Keratase masks and this one in particular made it feel strong and soft. The scent was a but strong for me but I prefer unscented everythjng.

Saved my Hair from Breakage and Loss

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I went through a phase where I was having lots of hair breakage and loss which I believe was tied to another brand’s product. I lost a lot of hair before I connected the dots and stopped using that product. My son’s girlfriend worked at a salon and recommended the Genesis Shampoo and mask (plus the fusio dose treatment that much be purchased through a salon) and it saved my hair. These products stopped the breakage and loss and after some time my hair filled back in. My hair is medium long, color treated light blond. I will always have genesis products in my routine. Great mask for fine hair

Genesis

I have large shampoo and conditioner I bought at my salon, when I had extensions. This hair mask is amazing for my hair. I recently went through radiation my hair was very brittle and dry, what hair that did not fall out was very weak. The mask helped so much along with the shampoo and conditioner

First impression: good but not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Caveat: This is a brand new purchase and I have only used this item three times. Although I enjoy all Kerastase products, compared to my previous hair masque (Chromatic), I don't feel that Genesis has the same effect on my hair. Although still a good product, for me it doesn't feel quite as soft or quite as hydrated. I use this in conjunction with the Densite shampoo. Time will tell whether the results change. (My individual hair strands are long, thick, and medium-coarse, but loss of density thanks to hormones).

Made my hair incredibly soft.

My new go to in shower hair mask. It’s summer and I love the pool and sun which can be hard on my long, fine, wavy hair. This mask nourishes my hair and gives it back the bounce and shine. I love it.
