Amazing on Dry Hair!

I've been disappointed in the past by other products. The Essence Absolute Pre-Shampoo & Nourishing Treatment Oil smells so so good and is ultra hydrating to my hair. Double process blonde vs hard water and winter temperatures

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a double process blonde battling hard water and harsh winter temperatures, keeping my hair healthy and moisturized is a top priority of mine. I was excited to try this, the oil smells pleasant unlike rancid scents if I've experienced in the past. It's important to note that is a pre-wash treatment . It has fluidity that spreads and applies nicely. Often I feel like scalp treatments are too small in product size for price, or maybe I've always just used too much of the product. I've used this 5 times so far, I try to let it penetrate my roots and ends for a good 30 minutes prior to washing . It's important to note that you want to compensate your cleanser, shampoo and follow-up leave in treatments accordingly. I'm optimistically pleased with this product and am further interested in their line of products. I would recommend in conversation or as a highly coveted luxury purchase. I wish the packaging gave more information or tips or a better description . Careful to not contaminate or spoil before use, this will go the distance. I take one dropper and put it in my palms, rub together and smooth the undercoat of my lengths/ends of hair. However, acne prone skin should proceed with caution.

Verry heathy product

Works Okay

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to test out this oil treatment since winter is upon us and my scalp immediately gets dry and irritated with any kind of change. My hair is usually on the dry side and it takes a lot for my hair and scalp to get noticeably oily. I used this for the first time and my hair looked like an oil spill and I had to get back in the shower and wash my hair again. I figured I used too much and I tried again a few days later. It's lightly scented which I loved and it did not make my shower floor oily which I was afraid of. After giving it a second try it did seem to soothe my scalp and give my hair a shine to it which it has been lacking lately. BUT my hair got oily by day 2 of not washing because I always go about 2 days between washing my hair. I have repeatedly tried it again, but get the same results. I have never really had to deal with oily hair and this was really odd to me. So I am unsure if I am still using it wrong or if it is just making my hair oily. Other than that issue, I can maybe see it as a plus since my scalp has not gotten dried out or itchy now that the cold weather is here and which my scalp would have been irritated already had I have not been using this. I am very undecided still.

My all time favorite hair care brand

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Shu Uemura Essence Absolue Nourishing Soothing Scalp Oil Concentrate from Bzzagent absolutely free for my honest review. Let me start by saying I am so glad I was able to try this product. I was recently introduced to this brand by Bzzagent and received their ultimate reset bundle and got the shampoo, conditioner, and hair mask and it quickly became my all time favorite brand and products. The smell is so intoxicating and addicting and unlike anything I have ever smelled before especially in a hair care product. The smell lasts for days too. So I was super excited to try the oil because it almost has that same smell. You take a little bit of oil and rub it onto your scalp about 15 minutes before you wash your hair and after blow drying your hair, your hair looks and feels like a million bucks. I usually have very oily hair as it is and was kind of scared to put more oil on it. But it didn't make my hair feel or look greasy afterwards and I was pleasantly surprised. Although this brand is considered a high end brand their products are absolutely amazing and well worth the money. I will recommend this brand until the day I die that's how good it is.

Saved My Itchy Scalp!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recent dry weather had made my scalp so uncomfortable and itchy to the point that I was having trouble falling asleep. It was driving me crazy! The timing was perfect for me to try out shu uemura's Essence Absolue Oil. It's super easy and pleasant to use. The oil itself is the perfect consistency: not too thick that it's hard to work into the scalp and not too thin that it runs down after application. I use a little less than a full dropper and spread it across the top of my scalp in a few areas. It only takes a minute to rub in and absorb. The relief is immediate. It washes out clean and didn't leave my hair feeling oily or heavy at all. The itchiness/dryness relief lasted several days! I only shampoo once or twice a week and didn't notice any itchiness until the end of the fourth day, which is great. Will definitely repurchase when I run out to save myself from sleepless, itchy nights.

Moisturized scalp

Balancing but not greasy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have thin, fine hair that tends to get oily fast, but I also deal with scalp irritation and flakiness. This oil seems to help keep my scalp balanced, but doesn't leave my hair oily after shampooing! I wash my hair almost every day, and using this oil makes me worry less about over-stripping my scalp and hair. The scent is nice but not too strong. I don't think the oil has made too much difference in how my hair feels or looks, but I appreciate that it washes out well. Great for sensitive scalps!

It does a great job of preventing scalp irritation from my very intense scalp scrubbing while using shampoo, and also works well to soothe my scalp after styling with hot tools. It also smells so good, floral but sweet and not overwhelming in the slightest, and is very light. My only complaint is that I wish it had heat protection as well, it would make it perfect to add shine and protection to my hair when i refresh it during the week.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A lovely product overall, even though I'm probably not the typical target audience. I did receive this for free in exchange for my honest review. As I am an oily girl, my scalp irritation generally occurs more from buildup than dryness. That said, I was pleasantly surprised at how well this oil did at cutting through that product buildup to basically oil cleanse my scalp and calm the irritation I experience. It did not leave me feeling extra oily although it did shorten my wash window just a bit. It wouldn't be a 2-3x/wk treatment for me but at least once every week or two, especially in conjunction with a clarifying treatment.

My new favorite oil for hair in this winter

I really love this scalp oil at first use. It made my hair visibly smoother, shinier, and moisturized. It also left a very great light tea floral scent on my hair after washing. Especially, it helped me not get irritation on my scalp after I had my hair colored. I am a mid-30 woman and have black hair, but I got some gray hairs for years. Therefore, I often colored my hair to cover these grays. That why my scalp was dry and itchy. However, it is very amazing that my scalp is completely cured of itchiness and dryness after only one application. I don't know what they put in this product, but I really love it and will buy it for my hair next time. High recommends for this product to my friends and family.

I add this beautiful essence to my ends before shampoo and leave it for couple of hours, it works magic on my dry ends, makes my hair softer and less frizz after I wash my hair. Even I add a bit to my ends after I iron my hair and it gives a shine and nice gloss to it. The scent is very light and pleasant. My scalp health has become very important to me as I've recently been dealing with some flakes and irritation. I've found this to be an excellent solution for that problem. Used before shampooing, this calms the skin on my scalp and helps it feel extra clean but not stripped after a shower. It does completely wash off with shampoo, so leaves no greasy residue. The scent is a very nice light floral scent that did not remain after washing.

Dry Scalp No More

I am always worried about putting oils in my hair because they generally make my hair greasy even if I wash it out immediately. However, this Shu Uemura Pre-Shampoo & Nourishing Treatment did the opposite. I was very surprised. It made my scalp far less itchy and dry. Plus it made my hair feel really soft. I tried just once for now but I would say this is gonna be my favorite for now on. I applied on my scalp before my shower and I didn't leave it for more than 5 minutes and I put shampoo and it's was not greasy at all, my shampoo was making bubbles as normal and the finish mu shower and put it on my ends of my hair and looks so good, better when the previous oil I was using. My hair it's shiny and look not greasy.

A great light hair oil

The product is very thin so it doesn't feel greasy at all, and does have scent but it's not too strong. Hair products with scents usually make my head hurt, but this doesn't do that. My hair looks very well hydrated and I look forward to using this product more. I've been experiencing hair loss due to stress and I wondering if this will help control that? I wouldn't use too much, a little goes a long way. The product is so thin that even if you don't squeeze the drop, the product drips out on it own, so be careful with that. I have noticed a little more shine in my hair so that's great :) I would recommend this to someone with a dry scalp!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter and I have been using the pre-shampoo and scalp oil treatment for a little over a week and we love it! My scalp feels like it can breathe and my hair has a nice shine. I love that the scent is light and not overpowering. Plus it smells really nice. I'm not a fan to the price but my teen daughter loves using it with her wash and goes now so she will be buying more once the bottle is done. She washes her hair every 3-5 days so I believe the bottle will a little while before needed more.

Luxurious

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Applying to my scalp also gives a good opportunity for a stimulating scalp massage. I was concerned about the oil leaving too much behind but it reminded me of using a cleansing face oil before a regular cleanser, you can still feel how much shampoo to use after by touch. It smells great so will definitely continue using for my dry ends and let air dry.

It makes hair smooth and silky without being greasy. Basically its magical. I have Thinner straight hair, so sometimes I'll apply it when my hair is wet, and that is more subtle. I do use it on my dry hair too and thats when you get massive shine. It is all you need unless you have crazy thick curly hair. This is surprisingly good! I used it on my mid to ends of my hair and it keeps it soft and subtle. This prevents my hair from breaking as my hair is so fine and then. I like this product!

I Would Definitely Buy this Product

I just tried Shu Uemura's hair oil for the first time, and I'm in love! It smells amazing, like a mix of flowers and luxury. When I put a few drops in my hands, it felt really smooth and not sticky at all. Putting it in my hair was easy,  My hair instantly felt softer and easier to manage. No more frizz or annoying flyaway strands! Even though the oil made my hair super smooth, it didn't make it heavy or greasy. I was surprised that it worked so well when I styled my hair too. It protected my hair from the heat, and it looked shiny and healthy. Plus, the pump made it easy to control how much I used, so I didn't waste any. Compared to other hair oil products i have tried before, Most of hair oil products i used dont have the beautiful scent like this, using them making me feel not enjoy much with my hair routine and made me feel lazy to keep my routine regularly.  it's a bit pricey, but to me, it is worth it.  you only need a little bit each time, so it's totally worth it. Silky Hair

I messaged my hair, wash it out & it felt very soft & silky. Blow dry it out & my hair was shiny & nonfuzzy. I love how it made my hair so soft & silky. Would definitely recommend this to my girlfriends who have problem hair. Altho didn't like that it was in a glass container as I'm very clumsy & have slippy hands. Thought the price was alittle high but maybe might be worth the buy once a month.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Did i get this for free? yes. Do i get a lot of things to try for free? also yes. I genuinely enjoyed this scalp oil. I don't genuinely enjoy the price tag, but if money is no object, shoot your shot. I used this before my regular shampoo and conditioner routine and when I tell you there was no frizz, there was no frizz. And I am frizzy like ALL the time (wavy hair, getting old, etc). Now, was I heckin oily at my scalp? Absolutely. I dry shampooed, and that seems to have absorbed most of the residual oils. I liked this better than the JVN scalp oil, and maybe tied or slightly better than the fable and mane oil. Thank you Shisheido!

Healthy Scalp Oil Essence

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the smell. It's not too overwhelming when i apply it on my hair. As the texture is oil essence so its greasy at first but not too thick for an oil textures. I would leave it for 20 minutes and then go into washing it. The hair is smooth after one try! Very nice and easy to use. A few drops directly into the scalp then massage the scalp throughout. I have heavy falling hairs problem for many years. I hope this work after i finish the product. For overall i like it. Package is nice and professional. Thanks Bzzagent for the experience.
