Burning, Inflamed Itchy Scalp

Burning sensation when I first used this and has made my scalp inflamed and itchy. Disappointing as have used all different Kerastase products for years and cannot recommend them enough usually.

Instant results!

Honestly this stuff is amazing, it immediately made my hair feel softer and smoother. I have a lot of frizz (curly hair) and it's sometimes hard to keep your curls looking good and deal with the frizz by the scalp but this stuff solved that problem immediately! It didn't make my hair greasy, no heavy perfume smell, just made my hair feel so soft and amazing, I definitely recommend:)

BEWARE!! Causes scalp irritation and itching

So upset over this product. It irritated my scalp like crazy. The itching quickly became unbearable and the hair started falling out just as well! I’ve NEVER suffered from hair loss before. At first it didn’t even cross my mind that it was this serum that was causing all these problems. I’ve been using Kerastase for decades and had nothing but great experiences with many different products over the years. Because I didn’t think it was this serum that was causing the crazy irritation, I didn’t discontinue until I was 2 weeks into it. Then it took several months to heal my scalp completely. A truly horrific and very upsetting experience.

Can’t live without

This has transformed my hair and also my scalp. I had a mild case of psoriasis for many years and this cured it as an added bonus. It also helped my thinning hair so much I can See a huge difference! MADE HAIR FALL AND ITCHING WORSE,

Firstly, I hate to leave reviews but this product needs to come with a warning of some sort. I bought this product on a recent trip to Panama, (at Stevens, Multiplaza Mall) and I cannot express how disappointed I am. I thought my hair was shedding more than normal and wanted a scalp oil so I got this. Within a week of using this my hair started itching profusely. I was in delusion, how could it be this overpriced hair serum? I continued to use it until I began to think my scalp was inflamed or infected. The itching got worse until I decided to buy the Mielle rosemary scalp and hair oil and give that a try. I stopped using this all together and the itching has gone away. Now I still have some product in this and I will not ever put this back in my hair, so I guess I will have to throw away my hard earned cash. I have tried other Kerastase hair products and love them, this, however, is a big big NO NO.

Hair Staple!

Love this serum! I was so nervous putting this on dry roots, thinking it would be greasy, but the exact opposite. My hair and scalp feel so much healthier and it smells so clean, my husband loves it. Stopped my intense hair fall

Odd consistency

I recently purchased product in France and found it beneficial. However, although the packaging and applicator dropper look identical in the U.S., the consistency is completely different. In France it is slightly gelatinous and easy to dispense to your hands then hair, in the U.S. it is essentially like water with a scent. What’s more, it doesn’t seem to do anything to benefit my hair. I actually doubt it is the same product and regret the purchase.

Never again!!

Stay away from this product! I used it from Monday to Friday..The result is that my skin on my head is red with full of itching and redness.I took it becauce im losing plenty of my hair after pregnancy and i thought it would help me a lot.BUT NOT!I took the genesis shampoo,serum and conditioner.They are all for the rubbish!! Who Needs Dry Shampoo Now

I initially wanted to get something for my scalp since I noticed that my middle parting was expanding and damaged from the summer sun. I looked this product online and apparently it was one of the things you should get from kerastase. I only used it a few time (and used it less than the suggested amount since it is pretty pricy). I didn't notice a big change after using it. However, when I went on vacation for a few days and stopped using it, I noticed more hair loss during shower and brushing more, so I'd say they have some effect on preventing hair loss!

Disappointing and heartbreaking

I was very eager to try this but m so totally disappointed Firstly it’s sooo watery when it arrived first I thought wow it’s huge bottle but it dosent feel like serum, u apply and it actually flows before could apply from top to behind the head Secondly i haven’t seen much difference that’ my hair breaks less the way my hair comes every wash I feel scared I have finished one full bottle now m looking for a serum that will help my scalp as it becomes too itchy as I need to color I have been using kerastase product more than a decade specially their L Huile hair oil and now for the past one year I m using the mask but this was total disappointment

So far, so good

I am sixty five and am patiently growing out my brown single processed hair from brown to grey/white. I was so tired of coloring my hair for 25 years. Always a Kérastase user, I saw this serum and bought a bottle. It ha definitely helped with breakage and drynes. Too soon to see if it helps with growth. No doubt, it is pricey and one bottle does not contain enough for length of treatment recommended but I will buy another one after this to give the full treatment, because my hair does look and feel better. It is also quite soft compared to the dry straw feeling I was beginning to have.

Great serum for hair fall

I bought this previously because even though I was using scalp serum. I still had breakage and hair fall. I like this serum very much. When I first used it I didn’t think I would like the smell because it was strong and citrus but the smell fades into a citrus floral scent when it dries. This has helped with the hair fall but it did take using consistency over the past almost four months to see results.

Extremely lightweight in your hair

I used it for about 4 weeks and loved that it is extremely lightweight and can't even tell it's in your hair after it dries. I hate for products to make my hair feel feel dirty! However, I did notice that my hair seemed to get dirty faster than normal near the roots after a couple days but this wouldn't be a problem for someone that washes their hair every 2-3 days. I try to go as long as possible! It's simple to use but be mindful it's very thin liquid so I made a mess every time. It does work for hair fallout because I was sweeping up hair a lot less hair off the floor after a few weeks. I still had fallout but it seemed to cut it back a lot anyway. I took one star off because it is extremely pricey for a product you are supposed to use daily. I think I would switch to every 2-3 days if I continued using it. Overall, great product with a hefty price tag but you get what you pay for.

I have blonde, color treated hair and often use heat on my hair therefore obviously having some breakage causing quite the damage. This serum I swear has strengthened my hair literally giving it life! I've seen a huge difference in the amount of breakage around my face and where I part my hair. I found this formula did not make my hair oily, smelled great, and was easy to use! I've tried it on damp hair and dry hair with the same results. The fragrance is very strong when applying it, but it mellows out. it's a nice smell, just a bit much at first. I'm interested to see how it helps my hair with continued use over more time!

I did not see much improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am giving this product the benefit of the doubt since I did not use the entire system along with this product as recommended on the product. I used my routine shampoo (4u by Tia Clarifying shampoo with apple cider vinegar and Hemi 15) and conditioner (Mielle Babassu Oil and Mint Deep Conditioner) when washing my hair, which I do bi-weekly. I personally did not see much improvement in my hair over the last 6 weeks. I used it daily prior to bed and protecting my hair with a bonnet. For reference: I have medium/normal porosity, type 3c/4a natural hair that has been bleached.
