Hair loss

I bought this product because I wanted to see what the hype was about, I applied it how i was supposed to and then over time i noticed my hair was falling out more than ever... my hair has actually fallen out so much from this serum that i have visible bald patches.. ive seen other comments that this had happened to others and I feel like people should be made aware that this could happen to them aswell.. it's been super upsetting to watch my hair fall out like this ..since stopping the serum my hair fall has been less but the damage is already done unfortunately..

Not enough time for accurate review

Helps with breakage, but headache inducing

50/50 on this one. This serum makes my hair super soft when I put it on. I've definitely seen less breakage from heat styling, so that's a plus. However, although it has a nice smell, it's too strong. The combination of all that alcohol plus the smell gives me a headache and burns my eyes. It also makes my scalp tender and gives me some painful scalp pimples if I use it everyday. I can only use it sparingly, a couple of times a week, and only right before bed so I don't have to deal with the headache it brings on. As for hair growth, I've only been using it for a couple of weeks so I can't speak to that. This could be a great serum if the smell wasn't so strong and it wasn't alcohol based. I'm not a big fan of using hair products with alcohol (drying) in them. I hope I can keep using it because it wasn't cheap, but I might have to stop because of the side effects. If your scalp and sinuses can handle it, this is a good serum. If you have a sensitive scalp, not so much.

I’ve been using the Genesis Serum Fortifiant from Kérastase for a little over six weeks now. For reference, I have medium-volume hair that tends to be on the thinner side. I’ve been on a long journey trying different supplements and products to help with hair growth and overall hair health, and while this serum came highly recommended, I haven’t noticed any new growth so far. In fact, after two weeks of consistent use, I experienced more hair shedding than usual, which was a bit alarming. I haven’t seen any visible improvements in thickness or strength yet, but I understand that some hair products take time — sometimes up to 3–4 months — to show real results. That said, I’m not ready to give up on it. I plan to purchase a second bottle and continue using it into next year before making a final decision. It’s disappointing to keep trying different things with little to no progress, but I’m staying hopeful. Fingers crossed that with more time, I’ll start to see some positive changes.

Strong smell, bottle only lasts 2 weeks

Smells incredibly strong and unpleasant. I've gotten used to the smell now but I don't enjoy it. A bottle lasts about 2 weeks if you use as directed. I've been using it a month now and haven't seen any improvement to my hair. Will continue using to give it a fair chance.

It is too early to tell if it works, but smells AMAZING!! Product consistency is extremely watery and hard to apply only to roots, easy fix when you use a plush headband. It does run to the lengths of the hair, however, it leaves my hair really soft! I give 3 stars because of the price and the quantity you have too apply, this is too expensive, but I’ll give it a try for a couple of months!

Wonderful but…

Ok. So I am really liking this product so far. I have only been using it for two weeks…not long enough to know how well it works. But be careful with the applicator. While squeezing the little applicator and massaging it into my scalp, it slipped out of my slippery fingers and fell into the sink and the glass tube shattered. I thought it was all contained in the sink. But two days later (we were on vacation) my husband mentioned that he’d had something in his foot for two days that was killing him. After digging with my eyebrow tweezers, we dug out the tiny round glass tip of the little tube. Now I’m stuck with how yo get the rest of the product out of the bottle and on my hair. That being said, it smells wonderful and does not leave your hair greasy. I hope it works with my hair fallage.
