Made My Hair Feel Very Soft

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using Shu Uemura Ultimate Reset Serum a few times and so far I have noticed my hair is more soft and smoother. The serum is pretty lightweight so it doesn't weigh my hair down. The only cons I would say in my opinion, I do think the serum has a strong scent which to me can be a little overpowering. Also, I try not to wash my hair that often since it's over-processed, and this makes my hair feel dirty more quickly. But overall I think this is a great serum and helps people like myself who have dry/damaged hair.

Love this overnight serum!

I apply to dry hair before bed & it absorbs quickly and leaves my hair really soft. My only complaint is that I need 6 pumps for my long thick hair and use it 3x a week so l took off a star because it's a little pricey. The smell is amazing and I look forward to using this product regularly to fix my damaged hair!

Softens my damaged hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've bleach my hair like crazy over the years, so I have a lot of frizz, damage, and split ends. This product not only reduce the frizz my hair produces over night but also leave my hair feeling silky soft and looking healthy and shiny. It also smells super good, like something they'd use on your hair in a salon. The only downside is that it does feel a little heavy when you first apply but imo is totally worth it for the end result. Will definitely keep using in my nightly routine.

Lovely but a little doesnt go a long way..

First off, im such a huge fan of Shu Uemura I love their rice water shampoo and conditioners but this product smells amazing! My only issue is that I have type 3B curly hair and lots of it! So instead of the 2-4 pumps, I had to use almost 15 pumps to get my ends and mid hair. Saying all this to say, the ending result was hydrated shiny curls which I loved! My only issue is that I would have to use more than instructed and its a bit on the high end with their prices (its definitely worth it!).

Hidden Gem!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product states it is a multi-benefit night serum that is supposed to repair hair's strength while you sleep penetrating the hair follicle to increase moisture and restore strength leaving your hair smooth and shiny by morning and throughout the day. This serum is supposed to care for damaged hair overnight caused due to bleaching, coloring and heat styling. My hair has all the above and more! Lol My hair has been bleached, colored, processed, damaged and suffers from constant heat styling. So this was a heaven sent. In my opinion, this product compares to other products I've tried like K18 and Olaplex Hair Perfector. Some of the benefits of owning this product is the luxurious texture. It is light and smooth and not greasy or heavy at all. This serum is infused with Japanese sourced rice extract, peptides, minerals, antioxidants, vitamins B and E. It is renowned by Japanese women for protecting hair from damage, hydrating, and improving elasticity. The scent is very faint and not bothersome. It claims to help fight one year of visible surface damage on hair in one use. So this was very intriguing to me! The directions are to apply before bed, to dry or damp hair, mainly to mid lengths and ends…2-4 pumps for medium to fine hair and 4-6 pumps for medium to thick hair. Do not rinse. It is advised to use 2-3 times per week or as directed. I applied this serum at night to my dry ends, approximately 5 pumps for my hair density. I started with one night a week and gradually increased to 3 times a week. My hair is now (approximately 3-4 weeks later) feeling very smooth and stronger. I have noticed the breakage is getting better and my hair is also feeling softer. Yes, I would definitely buy this product on my own and I would also recommend this product to my friends and family. My favorite type of masks

I love the simplicity of this mask, just put a few pumps in your hair before bed and wake up with beautiful, soft hair. Bonus: it smells delicious too. The four stars is because there are other masks that are just like this that do a little bit better of a job. Shu Uemura has great products and I'm glad that they came out with one of these masks, sure they also have the traditional masks but its nice to have options.

Works Wonders and Smells Heavenly

So far loving it

It wasn't an unpleasant smell, but it was very strong and over powering. A little goes a long way and didn't take much to use on my mid-lengths and ends. I might think about buy it again

Other wise i've been trying it for a month and as i feel, it doesn't weight my hair down, or sticky. It dry fast. I feel good in my hair at first, but after that it won't help my hair smooth and softer as much as i think( i have a damage hair) . But unfortunately this product didn't work for me. I used it as described nightly and styled my hair in the morning the smell is great though! But it did not help my hair in any way

Such a great hair repair treatment!

I am sensitve with other smell but Shu uemura never failed to impressed me with the scent as well as th result on my hair. I have a damage, dry and frizzy hair but this night serum helped to reduced my breakage and hair fall leaving my hair so smooth and smells good until the next morning. Itis lightweight and has a subtle fragrance on it.

Definitely helped with damage!

Soft and beautiful

Softer curls, versatile as leave in for day or night

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 3a/b curly hair that is pretty damaged due to bleaching/keratin treatments. I tried using this both overnight and left it during the day while my hair dried after showering. I did notice it left my hair softer and my curls looked less frizzy. I will have to see if it makes a noticeable long-term improvement, but in the short-term it does seem to improve hair texture. My one hangup is the smell. It is quite strong and reminds me a bit of elderly lady perfume. It does go away or maybe I get used to it after some time, but wish it had a different, more subtle scent.

I love how it deeply nourished my deeply damaged hair that tend to be dry, especially on my ends. Luxury hair serum, not for perfume sensitivity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried out free sample of the Shu Uemura Ultimate Reset Repairing Night Serum for Damaged Hair through the BzzAgent sampling program. The fragrance is nice but too intense for a nighttime routine product. I feel like I'm sleeping in a field of flowers. This serum has a thick cream consistency that absorbs so quickly on dry hair that by the time I reach the ends where the real repairs are needed, there's nothing left! My long, thick mane practically drank up half the bottle in just two weeks. Distribution of the product is smoother on damp hair. I have Shu Uemura on one side and my regular serum on the other for comparison. My hair did feel softer and less frizzy the next morning, but so did my regular hair serum but for a fraction of the cost. If you are looking for a luxury brand with a powerful fragrance, this would be for you. Just be careful not to attract any bees. For me, I'll be sticking to my budget-friendly option for now.

Overall, the best product for my hair!

I liked Shu Uemura Ultimate Reset Overnight Hair Serum but was not impressed, probably because my expectations were too high. This product has some benefits that make me prefer and recommend it, but unfortunately, for my hair, there was no WOW effect. Actually, this is the only drawback of this product: no WOW effect; that's why I rate it 4 stars, not less. Now about advantages: Price—I find the price fair since I don't have to use it daily. I use it every other day, sometimes every second day, and I can see a great result. So, the price is excellent compared to the Kerastase products that I used to buy. Scent—I like cosmetic products that smell good, especially those I use before bed. And this hair serum smells so good that it makes me relax immediately. Result—As I mentioned before, the serum works well. Yes, I expected something better, but it works better than any similar product I've ever used. My hair looks stronger and more alive with natural hair shine. In conclusion, I definitely choose this product over any other. It's a great addition to my hair care routine.

New holy grail serum!

While some "overnight" serums left me needing to wash my fine, frizzy curly hair the next morning, this doesn't weigh my hair down or make it greasy. It smells divine and absorbs quickly into the hair, leaving it smooth and silky. After washing it out my hair was very noticeably smoother, silkier and less frizzy. Blow drying it left it so salon-esque I didn't even use my curling iron. My hair is 3b and very frizz prone, so this was completely unbelievable to me.
