Deep purple and luxurious

This shampoo is so thick and luxurious, and such a deep purple! It leaves my silver hair so shiny and soft, and keeps my purple highlights vibrant. The best purple shampoo I’ve used and I’ve tried many!

Best Purple Shampoo for Transitioning to Gray

Transitioning to gray and on a quest to find a purple shampoo that works...gentle on hair, removes the brassiness...this is it! I love how my grays look after washing. I put this on my dry hair, before shampooing, for about 5 min. Then wash my hair, adding a bit more shampoo, wait 3 min, rinse and use a rinse out conditioner. Air dry and my hair looks and feels great!

Luxurious Purple Shampoo

I couldn't believe how luxurious this purple shampoo is! Most purple shampoo's are very drying and I have to use a ton of conditioner afterwards. Not with Shu Uemura - hair felt so silky afterwards. It also cut the brassiness. So happy to have found this shampoo. I will definitely use again.

First impressions

You definitely need to wear gloves to apply this product. I didnt have any and tried to be quick about applying it, but my hands were immediately fxcked by the chemicals. So, imagine what applying this to your hair is going to do. I have used this twice with the matching conditioner and both times my hair was a static mess. I tried different products (lotion, then oil) to lock moisture in the first time since I expected dryness from a purple shampoo and this was the day I experienced the most static. Recently I tried it again and did not use products. My hair has less static, but there is still some and that isn't a great sign. For reference, I am a warm toned brunette whose virgin hair has been balyaged twice. I live in a colder climate US state. Maybe this product will create less dryness during the summer? As for toning, I think it has helped with brassiness. Nothing too substantial to note here. I am disappointed, but I'll continue to test the product. Based on this experience I wonder if the yubi hair mask would be a better and more affordable option. It doesnt make sense to try to deposite purple pigment while cleansing your hair and it seems like a waste to have a shampoo you can only use once a week. So maybe get a hydrating shampoo and try the Yubi mask instead?

Good product

I’ve used many purple shampoos over the years, though I loved the smell and consistency I found it took at least 2-3 more washed than similar products to get the desired result, if you’re worried about over doing it or are a purple beginner this would be a great product

Blonde Anti Brass Shampoo

Helps with brassiness

Awesome shampoo! Highly recommend!

Great purple shampoo!

Not only does it smell great (my hair still smells amazing 4 days after using it) but it also works great at making my blonde less brass-y. It really does prevent your blond from turning yellow. And if it does turn yellow, this shampoo makes it way less yellow. It makes me have to go less freqwuently at the hair salon which is awesome for my wallet. I love it.

Deep purple bliss

Smooth, Fresh and Great Smell

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Ok so I had to go colour my hair after I received this product so that I could tell off the bat what it would look like on fresh hair! I loved the way it made my hair feel and the beautiful shine after I blow-dried my hair. The truth is even after 4 days my hair still looked clean and fresh without any dry shampoo or touch up. Moisturizing Purple Shampoo!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Pleasantly surprised by this purple shampoo! It is way more moisturizing than the previous purple shampoo I have been using which typically dries out my hair significantly and causes breakage unless I use a mask after. This can be used on its own and leaves your hair feeling moisturized, toned and shiny. I don’t think it tones my hair better than other purple shampoos but I do love that it’s scented and moisturizing. I only wish it was a little bigger given the price point.

Adding this to my weekly routine!

Fantastic Purple Shampoo

This purple shampoo kept my colour fresh for multiple washes, when it would normally already be showing brassiness and yellowing. It product also smells amazing and lathers well. Best Purple Shampoo

Purple but not great

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The smell is ok, nothing outstanding. It suds really well. As far as toning the brass, I would not recommend this product. I’ve had blonde hair for ten plus years. The shampoo itself is very deceiving since it is very dark . However it does not live up to the expectations. This was given to me through home testers club, I was not paid to say this. This is my own experience.

I received this product to test, I have very thick long coloured blonde hair and this product came at a great time as I’m due to visit my salon so my hair is a bit brassier than usual. I used it twice, first time on wet hair and didn’t notice much change in the brightness of the blonde. I found the shampoo very drying, like many purple shampoos but I’d expect a brighter blonde after for the way my hair felt. The smell is amazing, it’s a bit of a more masculine scent than you’d typically see in hair care but I loved it but not Impressed with the brightening.

Luxurious

You don't need a lot for a good lather. I did find that 2 min into the lather it felt like nothing was there. Until I rinsed and watch the vibrant colour drain away. It really took out the yellow tones from my hair in just 1 use.

Softest hair ever!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I absolutely love this shampoo! I had no idea I could have such soft hair before. After years and years of being blonde I am used to that dry, frizzy, brittle feeling. But now I can’t stop touching it! This shampoo appears as a dark purple colour, almost like hair dye. I was nervous that it would stain my scalp but was pleasantly surprised to find that it lathered well and without any staining. I loved that it was quick and easy, with a leave in time of just 3 minutes and I only have to use it once a week. Majority of my life time I’ve been a dyed blonde and am familiar with the brassy tones that comes with washing. This shampoo prevents the brass! I dyed my hair a few weeks ago and usually by now I can see the brassiness rearing it’s ugly head but I have yet to see any of it. Honestly this is now my go to blonde shampoo. I LOVE it!!

Amazing purple shampoo

Kicks it’s competition out of the park, even compared to the coveted “Ola” brand everyone loves so dearly. This one actually added shine, Movability and volume to my hair while keeping the brass at bay. I found the purple pigment to be quite strong in this shampoo you’d need to use such a small amount to tone your hair that I think this shampoo is definitely worth the money. The lather is luxurious and thick and THE SMELL. Let’s talk about the smell. Wanna smell expensive and boujee ? Buy this purple shampoo

Gorgeous!

My hair felt hydrated and smooth after use, which is rare for purple shampoos. My hair yellows/turns brassy easily, but after one use I could definitely see a difference. Helpful for platinum blonde gals

I really like to test out different products to see what works best for me. I’ve found in the past some of the purple shampoos will actually make my hair look blue-ish after the first wash. I don’t love that. This one did not do that which is great! It helped to simmer down my yellow/brassy tones and made my hair look fresh.

Smells So Good!

I would say the colour of the shampoo is the same as the bottle as well. The scent reminds me of the fancy smells from a magazine without being too overpowering. It smells so luxurious! I have been blonde for many years now and always look at new products to help keep away the brassiness. This definitely works! I would say that it's more on the purple side so it helps neutralize more of the yellow tones more than orange tones.

Great tone, but drying

Great for brassy hair

Drying

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave 3 stars, mainly for the lather and function of this purple shampoo, but I think there are better options out there. This shampoo felt very stripping on my hair, leaving my hair feeling instantly dry after rinsing. Also, the fragrance is extremely strong. I'm not usually one to be sensitive to scents, but even my nose crinkled up at this. The conditioner in this set was not as bothersome. I'll always be a fan of Shu Uemura, but this was a miss for me.

Purple anti yellow

Great toning products

Brings back the cool tones!

Perfectly Purple

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the opportunity to review the just released Shu Uemura's Yubi Blonde shampoo and conditioner. These products go on, you guessed it, purple but rinses out clear. The pigment works to neutralize those brassy shades with its magical, opposite-end-of-the-color-wheel powers. It's great for cutting the brassiness in blond hair and neutralizes yellows or gold to make blond shades appear brighter. After using about 10 different purple shampoos and conditioners this one is by far the best. It removes brass in ONE wash. The shampoo lathers extremely well, smells great, and does not completely dry out your hair. The conditioner is amazing too- it hydrates and leaves your hair bright and shiny. Shu Uemura Yubi Blonde line is definitely a blonde girls BFF. Give it a try!

Good for my color, a little drying.

works very well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product did a great job at removing some of the brassiness from my hair. I think that it is better than other purple shampoo's that I have tried. The only downside is that it did leave my hair feeling dry after I rinsed it, but this was fixed by the conditioner. I really liked this product and am definitely considering purchasing it after using the sample.

No more brass

Not sure how to feel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo has both negative and positive aspects to it. On the plus side this shampoo doesn't weigh down my wavy hair. In fact it helps my hair keep it's wavy texture. Better than other shampoos. On the other hand it doesn't really do much for the brass in my dyed hair. I have had other shampoos do a better job reduce the brass in my hair but dry my hair out completely. My hair was completely virgin before hand. My natural hair is dark brown almost black. So I'm not sure if this would work better on lighter hair. It has a light fragrance that isn't overpower. My hair is left feeling soft and manageable. My scalp feels fresh and clean. This is one of those products that I would be hesitant to recommend since the pros outweigh the cons. Then again, this is suppose to be a purple shampoo, that is suppose to reduce the brassiness in your hair. I received this product in exchange for my honest review.

Perfect!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first purple shampoo that I absolutely love. I used a sample, but I will definitely buy a full bottle! The shampoo lathers perfectly, perfectly cleanses the hair and scalp. Smells amazing, like an expensive luxury perfume. My hair smelled amazing until the next shampoo. I have a sensitive scalp with oily roots. The shampoo did not irritate the scalp. I also noticed that my hair was clean longer than with other shampoos. Hair is smooth, shiny, soft. It definitely helps neutralizes brass in blonde hair before the next dyeing.

The best for brassy hair!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not a stranger to using purple shampoo or having blonde hair that sometimes turns out brassy. But this was my first time using this brand. Knowing it was a luxurious, high end brand — I had very high expectations and let me tell you, they were all met! My hair isn't dried out like most purple duos tend to do to my curly hair. My hair is brass free, soft, and feels like a million bucks!! If you're on the search for the best purple line — this is it, ladies and gentlemen!!
