The minty freshness is a treat on my scalp, especially after a long bike ride and sweating under my helmet. It doesn't weigh my fine hair down, but gives it enough moisture so it feels soft. Unlike some conditioners, I don't get an oily feeling after a long day. I will keep buying this and recommend it.

My step daughter recommended it to me as a hairstylist and I've never looked back. I am allergic to sulfar and sulfate products make my head itch like crazy. Using it for years!

Not hydrating
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the smell of this product and it works well but I don’t think it’s hydrating enough. I have been using oils and hair masks with the product to keep my hair healthy and I think that although this is supposed to be sheer it is a bit too sheer, it doesn’t help with oil production at all because it dries your scalp out and your body compensates by creating more oil. Overall I would rate it a 4 because it does the job but it isn’t worth the money. Keep in mind I do have straight fine hair as well so this product was recommended to me based off of my hair type… I would still rather just get the hydrate shampoo and conditioner because they actually hydrate.

Not for me.

I have natural hair - no chemicals - it left my hair feeling dry, hard to get a comb through out of the towel, and there was a yucky build up that made it impossible for my hair to hold a curl.

Does not have same smell as shampoo. A little overwhelmingly minty for a conditioner. Interferes with my perfume. BUT it’s a very nice conditioner for find hair. It would be 5 stars plus if it had same fragrance as shampoo

So Happy I Switched!
I have been using various Aveda shampoos over the past many years and was pleasantly surprised and how great my hair feels and looks with the hydrate sheer. I will not go back! I highly recommend. My hair feels healthier and is more manageable. I have a lot of hair and it is medium length, normal, with highlights. The product performs very well.

Great for fine hair
The hydrate sheer lathers well, doesn’t weigh my fine hair down, and seems to be giving me increased volume the longer I use it. Oh and it smells minty and great too! I’m so happy to be back to Pureology.

Great for fine curly hair
This moisturizes my hair enough without weighing my curls down. I have lots of thick hair but it’s fine in texture and frizzy. The others by pure olive all weigh my hair down too much when leaving it curly but are good for when I straighten. This is the opposite.

I don't want my hair to smell like toothpaste
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has a strong mint scent and didn't moisturize my hair at all. This set is for oily hair and I bleach mine so it's very drying and I don't like it at all. It smells just like my toothpaste and not for dry hair but perfect for dirty or greasy hair. The smell truly needs some work as well.

Shampoo is great conditioner not so much
When purchasing the shampoo and conditioner together I wasn’t aware of the menthol that was in the conditioner. I have very fine hair and this conditioner completely dried out my hair. I barely used any and could only leave it on for .25 seconds. Not to mention that the menthol is so strong that I had to open the shower door because it was was so strong that my eyes were suffering. I love the shampoo and if the conditioner was not menthol I would love it too.

I have platinum blonde hair which is already really dry and needs a lot of moisture, and I didn’t see the effects of this conditioner on my hair. Although I didn’t see the full effects, I did still like this product.

Hydrates without Weighing Down
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love Pureology products and have been using this brand for years. The Hydrate Sheer line I have no tried so was super excited to receive from Influenster in exchange for my honest review.
I have fine hair, but a lot of it. The texture is wavy and a bit rough as I’ve been coloring my hair for years (blonde).
The Hydrate Sheer from Pureology is good for color treated hair which is what I look for in hair care. A little goes a long way with a Pureology as their products are very concentrated.
The conditioner is really a nice texture. Thin enough to evenly apply yet thick enough that it feels quality. I leave the conditioner in for 5 minutes before rinsing.
I’ve used this for the past couple weeks and it works well whether i style my hair or just blow dry it. It has helped give my hair the moisture it needs for the dry winter months here in the Northeast so it’s helped with the static created by the cold air.
Overall it’s a quality product and I would recommend it to my friends with fine to normal color treated hair.
