Great shampoo for strengthening, revitalizing hair
I’ve been using the Genesis Bain Hydra-Fortifiant Shampoo for a few weeks now, and I can honestly say it’s made a big difference in my hair. It leaves my scalp feeling super clean and fresh without drying it out, and my hair feels stronger and softer with every wash.

Promising results
This has been my all time favorite shampoo. I’ve been using it for years now. I ran out a few months ago and started using another shampoo, my hair started to fall out and thin out due to some health reasons and started using this shampoo again since I had a tiny bit left in the bottle and just with one wash I noticed a huge difference in my shedding in the shower. I also see a difference when using the serum from this line. I’ve purchased multiple bottles at this point and I always notice a difference in thickness, density and shedding when using it. For reference, I have curly 3B hair, therefore it requires more moisture, thinning and falling out due to menopause/high DHT levels. This shampoo does a great job of cleansing my scalp without stripping it, and it helps control my hair falling out. Time to stock up on my favorite, always promising results hair products! You won’t be disappointed, with this hair line.

I like this shampoo
I use this shampoo in rotation with my other shampoo. It smells good, lathers great, I’ve always had a hard time finding products that aren’t too heavy on my hair. This one works well, if I use it too often it is a bit heavy.

I absolutely love the smell of this shampoo.
However, wash day does come sooner.
Unfortunately I was not that impressed not satisfied with the conditioner. I felt like I had to use larger amounts compared to other brands in order for my hair to hydrated.

Lightweight thick hair solution

High Floral Scent

Smells Amazing!!

Shiny and Smooth
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Kerastase genesis shampoo as a complimentary sample. The bottle is compact, which makes it easy to travel with. I like that the bottle is transparent, so I can easily see how much product is left/used. When using this shampoo, I instantly smelled the clean citrus scent. It gave a very clean feeling. The shampoo creates a lot of foam which makes it easy to spread through your scalp and hair. I did not feel like I needed to keep reapplying as this foam lasted and allowed me to really work the shampoo into my hair. I have pretty long hair so I usually need to reapply shampoo as the foam dies off, but this had a good lifespan and let me get to all spots with one application. The shampoo claims to detangle, which at first, I did not agree with. When my hair was wet, I felt it was tougher to brush through. I could feel a texture change in my hair almost immediately. However, once I managed to comb it out and or air dried, I was amazed by the smoothness. The ingredients made my hair extremely shiny and I didn’t have any frizz, which is almost impossible to achieve when air drying my hair. I found my hair to look sleek without it being weighed down, and my natural waves were still apparent. Overall, I still found myself washing my hair the usual amount of times per week, so I didn’t feel it make a difference in my oil production. However, I did feel it prompted a smoother texture and made my hair look healthy. I would recommend this shampoo!

Almost perfect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this shampoo is very clarifying, but still leaves my hair soft after use. I have fine, average density 4b hair and I use this once a week. I wash my hair twice a week and found that while I can use it, I did need to switch my styling cream /leave in routine so that my hair didn't feel too dry. That being said, I've noticed less breakage in the shower when I wash and my coils are very defined even when using the same stylers as before and nearly no manipulation/combs. I just mist, fluff, and the coils are there! I tried it with the matching conditioner and my other conditioners and I like it best in the set. It seems to soften the hair in prep for the conditioner whereas it's too stripping for most of my other conditioners. My biggest downside is that it's a bit too strong for my already dry-prone scalp and can leave it dry after washes. I have a scalp serum that I use that does the trick, but a touch more hydrating would be amazing.

Two weeks in and I can already tell a difference

I'm not seeing as much hair fall when I shower or brush my hair. My hair tends to get greasy quickly, and this shampoo seems to prevent that and allow me to go a few days between washes. It also smells great and is hydrating without leaving my hair oily. My only complaint would be the hefty price tag.

Great product, odd bottle tops
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'd give this 4.5 stars. Love the actual product but the tops to the bottles are annoying when actually using the product. I prefer not having to set a cap down somewhere for hair products meant for the shower. That being said, the shampoo cleaned my fine hair very well. It didn't smell strong when using, but after my hair was dry I would occasionally smell a hint of fragrance that was pleasant and perfume-like without being strong. I would purchase even with the disappointing bottle.

Cleans fantastic, smell is borderline too strong
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this shampoo for a month now, and overall have been very impressed.
Starting with packaging, the shampoo bottle is most balanced when sitting on the cap, but then the text reads upside down in this position. Minor, but could be better designed. To administer the shampoo, you squeeze on the bottle and a semi-solid glob will come out. It is definitely not runny enough for the shampoo to easily come out without squeezing. After a month of use, I am still having no trouble with the squeeze.
The scent is lovely, almost a floral-y scent that lasts all day long. As someone who can be sensitive to smells, this can sometimes be too strong, but it’s just light enough that I still am willing to use it.
The shampoo itself cleans amazingly. A small amount goes a long way, especially when my hair is extra greasy. This is the only shampoo where I don’t feel the need for a second wash in order to be fully clean.
Lastly, I always check the ingredients in my beauty products. While this shampoo is not all gold stars, I don’t feel alarmed by the safety of the ingredients included, and feel comfortable using this in my hair.

Effective shampoo that isn’t stripping

Great for hair fall, just needs balance.
I started using this shampoo to combat hair fall and it has definitely helped. I see significantly less hair shedding when I wash it. For my hair type, it's slightly drying for daily use, but it works perfectly in my routine once a week. It leaves my hair feeling clean and has a very rich, pleasant perfume.

Fresh scent and good for fine hair
