Definite Repurchase

The product is HIGHLY fragranced, so if that is an issue or deal breaker for you, I'd stay away from it. The shampoo leaves my hair very soft and clean. The fragrance is nice - floral-ish. You only need to use the smallest amount and make sure to emulsify it before applying it to your hair. The conditioner works great, you don't need to apply a ton to get the desired effects. Overall, I'd say this is a nice product.

Shiny and soft

Lovely Scent

I have fine curly hair and it didn't weigh it down - my hair did seem to be more hydrated after use. I definitely had to use more conditioner than shampoo to properly condition my hair, which means that I will definitely run out of this faster, which is annoying. I also noticed less fallout and breakage between washes, although this could be due to any number of reasons. I definitely felt that it weighed down my hair a little bit. The price is definitely a concern, and I'm not sure that I would repurchase.

Could have been great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have just past shoulder blade length hair but it is very fine/thin. Seems like you have to use way more of the product then you should need. It is not really detangling or moisturizing at all. Then I noticed after using this shampoo and the paired conditioner that more of my hair was coming out than normal. I am not sure if my scalp disagrees with this shampoo or what. I feel like maybe if I kept using it that it would adjust but I am scared to do that because my hair is already so thin and fragile to begin with. It does smell nice and rinses out clean without leaving residue.

Too difficult to open and close but otherwise nice product

The packaging is pretty, but I wish it wasn't a twist off cap. Not moisturizing enough

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kerestase kindly gave me this shampoo and conditioner for free so that I could review it. Both the shampoo and conditioner are heavily scented. I cannot pinpoint exactly what it smells like, but it reminds me of a men's cologne. I have no issues with scented products, but if you do not like scents, you will definitely not like this one. The shampoo turns into a nice lather, making my hair feel actually clean. However, I am disappointed in the conditioner. The conditioner feels fine, but nothing special jumps out. I wish it was more moisturizing. I have been using the products for a few weeks and have not noticed a positive or negative experience with reducing hair breakage. I do have color treated hair, so not sure if that has an effect on how the product performs. Overall, I would repurchase the shampoo because I love the scent and how easy it is to get a good lather. The conditioner is not moisturizing enough for my hair type. If you like heavily scented hair products and they sold this as a cute holiday set, I would definitely give it a try.

Love this for my fine/oily hair!

My hair is fine and oily, but this leaves no trace of oil on my scalp. I use it just as it said on the bottle. Towel dry my hair and massage it in and let it sit for 2-3 minutes then rinse. It didn't make my hair oily. It made it seem less frizzy and strong. I even went 3 days in between washes. The smell is terrific and I loved not having to wash my hair daily. Will definitely continue using!

Not enough moisture for curly hair

Unless you like strong scents, I'd pass on this

It did everything that it clams to, less breakage, left my hair strong and shiny, however the scent is so strong and not even a pleasant scent. It's like Axe deodorant in the 90's mixed with something I can't put my finger on. For that reason alone I won't continue using it. The cap being a twist off instead of a flip top are another reason. Having arthritis made the shampoo very difficult to open.

Scent City!!!

I don't understand why brands insist on using such insanely offensive scents. This smells a bit like cologne to me, and I am NOT a fan. All in all, I liked the consistency of the product. It's too early to tell whether this will work on my fine curly strands, but I am hopeful (if I can ignore the scent long enough to continue usage)! I also do not like the twist cap. It made for some awkward (almost dangerous moments in the shower.) I recommend buying the smaller version of this first. Given the high price point, I expected better packaging that doesn't force you to waste product and a more elegant scent that isn't so overpowering.

Great for fine tangled hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Obviously this is a very expensive conditioner, but a little bit goes a long way and I'm excited to see a difference in my hair after consistently using this for a few months. My hair is wavy and fine, so it's extremely prone to tangles. I found when using this that I can more easily brush my hair in the shower. It seems to give my waves more bounce and definition too (even though I'm overdue for a haircut). I love Kerastase so I'm glad that the products are as nice as I was hoping given the price. You can also supplement with other more economical products in between full washes.

Amazing scent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Genesis Strengthening Conditioner and Shampoo for a week and I could see an amazing results. My hair looks soft and silky, hydrated and healthier. I love the floral scent of bergamot and how long it last. The conditioner is easy to use, leave it for 5 minutes and rinse and enjoy the volumizing look and feel flowing, lightweight hair. I would definitely use Kerastase products again.

Genesis Conditioner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this conditioner a little more than the matching shampoo. It's very creamy and nourishing. After one use my fly aways around the top half of my hair weren't nearly as visible. My split ends didn't have as much noticeable change right away but hopefully the effects of this conditioner are cumulative so my hair looks smooth all over. It is scented like a perfume and smelled good and I could smell it on my hair most of the day. I wish the cap was a pop top instead of a screw off cap but this one is easier to hold and use than the shampoo because of the tube and consistency of the conditioner. I did notice that my hair looked a little worse when I used a leave in conditioner as well so I won't be using anything else after my shower when I use this conditioner.

Feels like a hair mask!

First, it smells amazing; Very floral and summery!! After showing my hair feels nice and soft, similar to when I'm using a hair mask. After washing, rinsing, and conditioning, my hair was very manageable. This resulted in less breakage from detangling. After drying and styling, my hair was so soft, smooth, and shiny. This product is meant to restore and nourish hair prone to breakage. Although I have only experienced one was, I can tell there is a difference in my hair. I would recommend.

Great conditioner with sexy smell!

Better than my normal conditioner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kerastase sent me this free sample through the BzzAgent sampling program.I've only used it fot a week so far but i've been loving the way its made my hair feel so far. I have pretty thin and dull hair after all the times i've dyed my hair but it's made a big difference on repairing it. The only downside i'd say is the price of it, and the scent. It has a really strong overpowering fragrance to it and some people might not like it.

Best lightweight conditioner for wavy/curly, fine hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me preface this review with a disclosure that I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review. I have used many products from Kerastase line, as well as others such as Oribe or Moroccan Oil. I didn't find this product to be heavily fragranced at all, like some others mentioned. I think this is nicely fragranced with medium staying power. The product itself, is very moisturizing, yet super light. Hair felt very moisturized and smooth. Probably the best lightweight moisturizing products I've used. Great for curly to wavy hair. I highly recommend it to those with fine hair, like mine, as this doesn't overweight the hair at all.

Great conditioner

Pretty good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a bottle of this to review and give my honest opinion. First off the packaging is really beautiful but the one thing I didn't like about it is it is not the easiest to get open while you're in the shower with wet hands because it's not a flip top you have to unscrew it and then screw it back on I did find that to be a small flaw. The smell is good it reminds me of an old product I used to use when I was younger it's not too strong, it's pleasant. I myself only shampoo my hair about twice a week because it is color treated so I can't really say after one use how much I truly like it but my hair did feel clean and I guess we will see how it works out for me.

Smells great

It works amazing with the Genesis shampoo. I would recommend this to anyone experiencing weak hair with normal to oily hair. It makes the hair soft and it's very lightweight. Not for dry hair

I think it may work better for straight non-textured hair that is more normal to oily as opposed to my hair, which is dry, I did not think it was very moisturizing or conditioning for me. Great smell! not oily

It was okay

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Positives about this product it smells really good definitely perfume based and I like the packaging however it took a a lot more shampoo then I would normally use to really get the lather going I also let it sit in there for maybe a minute or two before I washed it out and I can say it did Feel clean for the most points but it definitely stripped everything from my hair it was very dry nodded so then I lather the condition on only from the tips down not on my scalp let it set for 3 to 5 minutes and washed it out my hair still felt really dry after I did brush it out woke up the next day it seemed clean the smell was still kind of there but I'm not sure if I would personally purchase it
