The smell and new formula suck
I ve used Kerastase over the years and my favorite has always been the old Chroma line (reflection chromatique) and decided to try this new line. To my surprise, the smell makes my eyes tear and this new formula makes my hair dry, stiff and frizzy! I bought the product with eyes-closed, since, give or take, any Kerastase product is wonderful. But this is just horrible. Save your money.

Disappointing product update - Would not recommen
Disappointed in the change from the old bottle and different formula of the Bain Chroma line. I had not actually looked too closely at the version I was purchasing and only upon receipt did I notice the difference in bottle and quality of the product, which is now distinctly less pleasant in smell and efficacy when I wash my hair. I fear that this is a means of cost cutting in the formula changes as I have since seen similar reviews posted here.

The best shampoo for color-treated hair!!
I have heavily bleached (and toned) hair and this shampoo cleanses well without drying it. I think it is a little on the thicker side so you don't have to use as much as other shampoos. Because it is sulfate-free, it also doesn't strip the toner out of my hair and allows me to go almost 4 months between color touch-ups.
I can't recommend this shampoo enough to anyone who colors their hair. I like it so much that I give it as gifts to friend/family. Please don't ever reformulate it!

Refill ability and shampoo formula
I really liked the older version of shampoo for colour treated hair much better? It required less shampoo. I also wish to get the refill pouches instead of the bottles or more metal bottles. That’s the point of the refill ability. But this shampoo does work well.

Terribly dry
I bought this shampoo along with Chroma Filler Hair Mask and it completely dried my hair. It felt like straw like hair and my scalp was so itchy and flaky. My hair felt weight down and super dry. So disappointed since I was previously using Chronologiste and decided to switch it up and give Chroma a try but it is not it!

Excellent every day shampoo
I have tried numerous shampoos from this line and while all are good, the Bain Riche Chroma Respect is best for my type of hair. I have natural curls, highlights & lowlights, and dryness at the ends. Just turning 65 years old, aging is a concern. It works well for every day shampooing and smells great!

This is not a replacement for Kerastase Reflection
Bain Riche Chroma Respect dried my hair out and made my balyage highlights crispy. I had become hooked Reflection line on a cruise ship and when I ran out I discovered that it had been replaced by the Chroma line. Reflection was the best line I had ever used and I am beyond disappointed that you no longer make it. I have done a deep dive into all lines at Kerastase to find a similar product. So far my next choice is the Nutritive line - and if that does not work I will try Discipline - after that I will give up.

Retain color and softness
This and the Nutritive Bain Satin Riche shampoo are the only shampoos I use for my red, thick and sometimes coarse hair. As I age, my red hair is fading, so when I do get a color boost, this shampoo is the best to soften my hair and retain its color. Don't know what I do without the hair color protection products from Kerastase!

Great shampoo, not so great container
Not a lot of lather, which takes some getting used to, but my hair looks great. I love the smell. The bottle is a bit hard to maneuver in the shower with its bulky screw off top. I wish it had a pop top like so many others do.

It's a magical product
I really like this smell. It works magical for my hair, my hair usual to be fuzzy and oily the next day morning, but this product helps my hair stays smooth the whole day. My hair got fuller and thicken after using it for a month even my hairstylist says the same thing.

Did not generate the shine promised. I have been using your Chrome product for colored hair for a long time and very much like it. When this was advertised to promote shine, I gladly bought two bottles. So far I’ve been very disappointed. After using these two bottles, I will go back to the original chrome for colored hair.

I wish this smelled like reflection shampoo and conditioner!! Wish you could bring that back. I’ve used the reflection line for years and nothing compared . Riche causes excessive hair fall out
Unsung the Riche every day for 2 weeks made my hair fall out excessively. There was hair fall out everywhere!
The day i stopped and used the other Chroma for Fine to Med hair, my hair fall out was normal. Minimal.

Disappointed; left hair dry and unmanageable.
I am a longtime fan of Kerastase hair products, esp their products for dry/coarse/thick hair. Sadly, this one was a big disappointment. The scent was fine, but this left my hair feeling extremely dry and less manageable. I used it as the shampoo in my routine, followed by the Chroma Filler Masque and the Chroma Vert (both of which I LOVE!)....had very high expectations.
Unfortunately this product didnt live up to them...hair felt unruly and almost as if there was no conditioner on my hair. I had to use tons of the Kerastase Nutritive Creme Magistrale to rescue my hair's look. Was pretty shocked, because usually Kerastase products are amazing. Hopefully Kerastase will improve the formula at some point. Sorry I didnt listen to other reviewers on here who reported the product's drying effect. :-/

Burns my scalp
I just bought this shampoo and I feel like my scalp is on fire it’s burning I rised it out and even after I still feel like it’s burning! I’ve never had a problem with Kérastase products but this shampoo isn’t it ! I think I need to return it

Nothing can replace the loss of the reflection line… completely disappointed.. sad to say, I have been loyal to this brand for over a decade, but now I will be switching.. None of the other collections have had quite the same result on my hair as reflection.

Very Drying
I’ve used many Kerastase products that I love over the years. This is the first line that I would not recommend at all. I bought the set, so I can’t tell if it’s the shampoo, conditioner or shine treatment, but my hair is not responding to these products well at all. It has dried my ends out like I’ve never experienced. I’ve been using the resistance masque to try to help repair the damage.

Reflection formula far superior to this one
Not nearly as good as the Reflection line that has been discontinued. The Bain Chromatique Reflection kept my hair in great shape and actually added volume. This new formula just isn't cutting it. I'll be looking elsewhere for a proper replacement.

Not impressed with Chroma at all
Bain Chroma Riche has an overpowering smell that I can only describe as perfumed candy. If I use it alone, I find that it also makes my scalp itchy. Also it lathers poorly. I'm mixing a little into my Kerastase Discipline shampoo just to use it up. Please bring back Reflection as it had everything going for a sulfate free shampoo. Now I will have to go shopping for a different brand.

I tried this shampoo as Bain Chromatique is no longer available. I have fine hair and this shampoo is not suitable at all. It leaves a residue on my hair. Will not continue to use this shampoo.

Best Hair Of Your Life
I’ve been using this shampoo for almost two years. I have auburn color treated hair, which my stylist mixes 4 colors to achieve. The shampoo keeps my hair from fading. Best of all, my hair is still bright and shiny. So soft and manageable. I wash my hair once a week, and a little goes a long way. I’ve had so many compliments on my hair, and they think it’s my natural color at 68 years old. Will keep on using it, and recommend it to others. Good quality sulfate free hair care products, are worth the money to keep your hair in good condition.

Smells bad and dries my hair out
I have been using Réflection Bain Chroma Riche for about 15 years. I loved the way it smelled and love how my hair felt. I have also been getting highlights for 15 years and I am always told my hair is in great condition and not to change a thing. The new Respect shampoo is horrible. I cannot stand the smell of it and on top of it, it make my hair feel dry and brittle. I guess I will have to find another product.

Lame, please bring back Reflection!
I am so disappointed that Bain Chroma Riche (Reflection) was discontinued. I was a devotee of the line for about 15 years. This replacement is awful. It actually had me questioning the health of my hair and wondering if something was wrong. It does not lather. So, you either have to wash it several times (how convenient for Kerastase). Or, you have to wash your hair with something else first...which kinda defeats the point of spending so much on high-end haircare. Like the others who have posted similar reviews, I, too, am now searching out entirely new lines of haircare.

Cleans my hair very well
My new hairdresser introduced me to this crazy good smelling shampoo and i am hooked ever since. This shampoo cleans my thick, wavy, coloured hair so well and I don’t even need much (I want to though, just because it smells so good). Together with the CA conditioner, this is my absolute new dreamteam for my hair rituals.

Not happy

I preferred the old version of this. Shampoo tangles my hair and leaves it feeling dry. Not a fan of the smell either. It doesn’t do much for my thick hair, can’t say I’d recommend it.

Smells awful; Bring back the old stuff that worked
I’m so sad to have to switch from Kerastase because I’ve used the Bain Chromatique Riche for a long time, but it’s discontinued. I loved how my hair felt and smelled after a shampoo and got compliments often. This new Bain Richie Chroma Respect smells awful, so chemically and unpleasant. It’s also sad because the old stuff had a lovely scent and was sulfate free, and few on the market are sulfate free, which is great for processed hair.

Absolutely incredible
So I have tried what feels like MILLIONS of shampoos and they all don't measure up... from high end to drugstore. The last company I tried was a higher end company and it was just ok. The fragrance was great but ultimately I wasn't sold. My hair just didn't feel amazing like they all advertise. I color my hair too so of course when the color seems to fade quickly, that's a bit upsetting.
Flash forward to this beautiful product... oh my goodness. At first, I thought it was too fragranced but I gave it a good two weeks. Now I LOVE the fragrance and how my hair feels! HOLY GOOD HAIR batman!!! MY hair is so soft and so smooth now. I can't believe this is my hair. I probably wash my hair 2x a week with about 3 days in between (give or take) and my hair smells as fresh as it does right out of the shower. I am absolutely convinced!

Makes your hair soft and managable
I have used the Discipline product for years on my color treated thick coarse hair, but was looking for something that might also hold my color any longer, at all. This product was great as it continued to soften my coarse hair as well as maintain the color. Another great option in the Kerastase line up!

Such a Huge Disappointment
I have used Kerastase Reflection line of products for 20 years and was very happy with it until they discontinued the line. Looking for a replacement product, I tried this. It is AWFUL! It does the opposite of what it is advertised to do. My hair feels like thick straw (usually my hair is smooth and silky). Besides thick dry straw, it feels greasy. Worse yet--it causes my hair to break because a brush or comb does not slide though my hair after I have dried my hair!
