It is a good shampoo as long as you do not have a scalp condition such as psoriasis or seborrheic dematitis, it is more of a control shampoo. However, I consider it a good shampoo.

Fantastic Product

Not for me

My hair seems the same and my color lasted about the same time as well. I didn't really care for the scent either and I didn't think it lathered that great. Not the best for ultra greasy scalps

I bought this shampoo to help balance my really greasy scalp and so far have been underwhelmed. I was hoping it would push my hair wash days to be less frequent but I have not noticed a big difference. I do enjoy the smell and quality of the shampoo but it is not as degreasing as Bain Densite.

Nourishing and good for colored hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free sample of this product in exchange for my honest review. After using this shampoo for a couple of weeks I have to say it seems to really help keep my color longer. I shampoo 2-3 times per week. The scent is slightly too perfumey for me. It's a good scent, but my hair doesn't smell as strong after drying so it is not a deal breaker for me. Overall I feel this shampoo does not dry my hair out, it feels moisturized, and my color does seem to not wash out as quickly. I would give it a try if you have drier, color-treated hair.

Horrible for natural curls

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had so much hope for this shampoo. It lathers really well and my hair felt clean after rinsing it out. I followed it up with the conditioner from this line. I used my usual styling products and let my hair air dry like usual. This dried out my hair and the result was horrible. My normally bouncy, shiny 3a curls were now dry, frizzy, and the top half of my curls lacked any definition. This also has a strong scent that doesn't fade away, so beware. Best Color Protector on the Market!

I have multiple colors in my hair as well as platinum blonde, so the expense that I spend coloring my hair requires me to take good care of my color and this shampoo, not only maintains my color for the 6 to 8 weeks in between colors. It also keeps my naturally curly hair from being frizzy and strengthens my hair that was normally weakened by all the processing overall I actually use less shampoo and have to wash it less so don’t judge book by its price tag. I I can get color shampoos for half the price but end up spending more money because I have to buy twice as much or three times as much product! something to protect my hair or something to protect my color or something to protect my curls and I have to wash more often…. So I decided to use the shampoo that does it all thus costing less overall! I’ve used this shampoo for at least five years and I’ve never been disappointed… you won’t be disappointed you’ll just have to train yourself to use less because it goes further because it’s so concentrated and you’ll realize that you don’t have to wash your hair as often! Try it once and you’ll never go back!

Great Shampoo- Don't love the packaging!

It also smells like a high-end perfume. I get SO many compliments on my hair scent! I usually do two shampoos to really get the product and oil out of my hair because I only shampoo 2X a week. My ONLY complaint is the packaging. The screw on lid is a thoughtless design. You unscrew- pour shampoo in your hand, but then need two hands to screw the lid back on, so I always loose some shampoo in my hand while trying to put the lid back on. Overall, it's a great shampoo for color treated and heat damaged hair! I received this shampoo as a promotion, but honest options are my own!

Just meh...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free in exchange for an honest review. I really wanted to love the Kerastase Chroma Absolu Shampoo and Conditioner. Kerastase has a connotation of luxury and I was expecting the same results that I have in the past using their products. Unfortunately, I would not recommend or purchase. The shampoo left my hair kind of dry. The scent is kind of herb-y. Not terrible but not my preference. I had my husband try both the shampoo and conditioner and he did not care for either. One good thing about the shampoo is that unlike many other sulfate-free shampoos it actually lathers up. The conditioner can be compared to any drugstore conditioner. It left my hair manageable but there was no exception WOW feeling. For reference - I'm in my mid-thirties and about a year postpartum. I have color-treated (single process - to cover stray grays) medium hair (elbow length). I also don't have any restriction in my diet and do not drink or smoke (I know some people find the link to hair health important).

Smells Great but ...

Great shampoo and conditioner so far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been trialing the Chroma Absolu Bain Chroma Shampoo and Conditioner in exchange for my honest opinion. The packaging - pretty, though the screw off top can be tricky in the shower. The print on the bottles is impossible to read if your eyesight is less than 20/20. Smell- I find it pleasant without being overpowering. After drying, my hair smells clean vs perfumey. Product Consistency- shampoo is thick though it doesn't suds up like some other shampoos. Not an issue for me as I e come to expect this in paraben free products. The conditioner feels nice and creamy. My hair - extra thick, coarse, wavy, graying, mid length. Usage- I'm a wash rinse repeat kinda girl and only wash 2x week. While the frizz isn't eliminated, the Chroma Absolu leaves my hair soft, with a nice healthy shine. It doesn't feel weighed down with a lot of product. After about day 3 which is usually when I wash, my scalp feels to be a little more oily- not visibly, just noticeable when I run my fingers through. The softness and shine are like that when a nice masque has been applied. Recommendation- I absolutely would recommend. To anyone looking for paraben free shampoo that delivers on healthy shine and softness. I will happily purchase these products.

BEST SHAMPOO FOR OILY HAIR

I love the packaging of the shampoo and conditioner, subdued pink with chrome top. not too flashy but just enough to catch your attention. After applying the shampoo and conditioner , I could already feel a change in the softness of my hair . It was also easy to wash out. I also noticed right away my hair was shinier. It definitely produces results you can see right away and I have no doubt the longer I use , the better my hair will look and feel. The only thing that bothered me a little bit was the scent but it wasn't overwhelming and went away after washing the product out.

I'm glad I received mine as a free sample, because there are plenty of other products that do what this does, or even better. I needed to use more than usual to get a lather going, and there wasn't much of a scent. This is just an okay, average shampoo.

Good lather

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll preface this by saying I have long curly hair and go about three days between washes. The shampoo was great. It smells nice, lathers well, and didn't leave my hair feeling stripped or dried like some shampoos. The conditioner smells great as well, but I felt like I had to use so much just to get some slip in my hair, and even then it didn't feel very moisturizing. It may work better for other hair types. Overall, I would buy the shampoo again, but would pass on the conditioner.

Silky Smooth for days

Good lather, reduced frizz, didn't love the scent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is no denying this shampoo reduced my frizz and made blow drying much easier. I have mixed texture hair that has very curly areas and then wavy area. But even with the reduced frizz, I really didn't love the smell. It reminded me of cherry cough drops. I had my mom smell it and she agreed. Once it was dried the smell was more subtle and tolerable. The photo is my hair on day three. It does keep your hair nice for a while which is a plus . I just really couldn't get on board with the scent. I'd recommend this if the buyer liked this scent, it's a good product overall.

The best hair products ever

Game changer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To start the packaging is beautiful, the color of the bottle is so pretty. When I used this product I felt like I was at a salon getting my hair washed. The fragrant is not strong especially since it's a protectant for colored hair. After the very first use I could feel the difference in the strength and silky feeling of my hair. Through every use the color of my hair has not faded and I feel so confident in the appearance of my hair. I would recommend this product to everyone and my friends all say "this is a game changer in their hair care routine"

Average Shampoo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried the Chroma Absolu Shampoo for Fine to Medium Color-Treated Hair, along with the matching conditioner, and overall, I wasn't particularly impressed. I didn't notice a significant difference in my hair compared to other shampoos I've used before. While it did clean my hair effectively, there wasn't much of a noticeable improvement in the texture or vibrancy of my color-treated hair. Additionally, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of scent. If you're someone who enjoys a fragrant experience while washing your hair, this might not meet your expectations. The conditioner was decent but again, didn't provide any standout benefits. I received this product to test and review so I glad I didn't purchase. For the price, I would have expected more noticeable results.
