Using the shampoo, conditioner and hair serum from Genesis line I was able to stop that hair fall within about 2 months, which is incredible! The smell of the Genesis line is to die for, I am seriously looking for a perfume that smells like these products.

Depuis que j’utilise le Bain Hydra-Fortifiant de Kérastase, mes cheveux se sentent beaucoup plus forts et revitalisés. Lots of thick lather with a small amount of product. After a 14 day use period what I noticed most is that my long straight hair will hold a heated style longer after using Kerestase. I prefer a pump version if available.

Nice (Expensive) Shampoo

Had high hopes

Awesome scent

I've smelled their other products before and this smells the best by far. It lathers really nicely and my hair feels clean and shiny after using it. The packaging is beautiful but it's not the best in my opinion because you have to fully twist the cap off the dispense product. It's difficult to close that up when you're in the shower with soapy hands. For the cost, I would expect something easier. While I like this shampoo, I wouldn't personally pay full price to buy it. It doesn't do anything groundbreaking but it is a nice luxury to have.

Heavily scented product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kerestase kindly gave me this shampoo and conditioner for free so that I could review it. Both the shampoo and conditioner are heavily scented. I cannot pinpoint exactly what it smells like, but it reminds me of a men's cologne. I have no issues with scented products, but if you do not like scents, you will definitely not like this one. The shampoo turns into a nice lather, making my hair feel actually clean. However, I am disappointed in the conditioner. The conditioner feels fine, but nothing special jumps out. I wish it was more moisturizing. I have been using the products for a few weeks and have not noticed a positive or negative experience with reducing hair breakage. I do have color treated hair, so not sure if that has an effect on how the product performs. Overall, I would repurchase the shampoo because I love the scent and how easy it is to get a good lather. The conditioner is not moisturizing enough for my hair type. If you like heavily scented hair products and they sold this as a cute holiday set, I would definitely give it a try.

Obsessed with the scent

Hair Fall and Dandruff After 2-3 washes

I’ve been a long-time user of Kérastase, particularly the Bain Fluidealiste Shampoo, conditioner, and hair mask. However, I started experiencing hair fall over the past few months. Based on the website’s recommendations, I switched to Bain Hydra-Fortifiant Shampoo, which is suggested to help with hair fall. Unfortunately, it had the opposite effect for me. Instead of reducing hair fall, it caused even more hair loss, along with dandruff, after just 2-3 washes. The product didn’t work as expected, especially in addressing my hair fall concerns.

My new favorite shampoo!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using a product line that is very different than the Kerastase Genesis Bain Hydra-Fortifant shampoo I recently received, so I had no idea what to expect. For reference, my hair is color-treated, straight, extra fine, and I'm in my 40's. Washing my hair used to be something I dreaded because afterward I'd be left with flat and silky hair that didn't want to do anything cooperative. The first thing I noticed was this shampoo smells really good. After using it for the first time I noticed that I lost a little less hair in the shower than usual. The second and third time there was less and less of my hair that fell out while washing. My hair also looks a bit fuller than it did before. The only negative thing I've found while testing this shampoo is that I don't think it will be good for the color I put in my hair to hide the grey. It contains sodium laureth sulfates and benzal alcohol, two ingredients I tend to avoid.

Moisture At The Highest Level

VERY strong scent. Didn't do much for me :(

At first it smelled very clean but as my hair dried it turned perfumey. The next day it still smelled so strong. I don't mind it because I felt like I didn't need perfume lol but if you're sensitive to scents this is not for you! You still need to use a clarifying shampoo. My hair does feel a little softer, but not really more hydrated. Can't say much about the strength yet. Overall I don't hate it but I don't think I'd spend the money on it, It's a lot of money and I have cheaper hair products that work better!

It did everything that it clams to, less breakage, left my hair strong and shiny, however the scent is so strong and not even a pleasant scent. It's like Axe deodorant in the 90's mixed with something I can't put my finger on. For that reason alone I won't confusing it. The cap being a twist off instead of a flip top are another reason. Having arthritis made the shampoo very difficult to open.

Awesome shampoo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this shampoo for a while now and it's great to make my hair stronger and healthier. I have straight and fine hair that is oily on the scalp but the roots are try and this shampoo helps to hydrate and not weigh down my hair!

Product Packaging and Scent Needs Serious Improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very sensitive to scents, and this has an extremely strong fragrance. It smells like cologne, which I am not a fan of. I don't know why brands feel the need to make everything smell so intensely, especially when it is not a natural scent from essential oils. It's too early to tell if this will truly improve the condition of my hair, but I like the lather and the consistency of the product. I do not like the twist top, however. When you are in the shower and your hands are wet, it is entirely too cumbersome have to take the entire shampoo lid off to use it. I found my self using entirely too much product for my fine hair. Given the high price point, I am annoyed that the brand is intentionally ensuring product waste. Only time will tell if the product works for my hair type.

Love this line

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this brand. They do hair care right. I have very fine and thin hair and recently dealing with same hair loss. I was searching for a new shampoo/conditioner and this didn't disappoint. My hair is soooooo soft and my scalp feedsnso clean and hydrated. I also can go longer in between washes and I think because it keeps my scalp so clean. Not to mention, the my hair smells soooo good. I 100% recommend this product.

Nice shampoo but bad bottle design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo lathers beautifully and has a pleasant scent. After just a few washes, I noticed my hair feels softer and stronger, with a lot less breakage. I'm just not a fan of the twist top. Thanks Kerastase for the free shampoo!

Luxurious and nourishing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only used this shampoo a few times so far, but it has an amazing fragrance and the perfect amount of foaming lather. Kerastase products always feel very luxury to me and this is no different. My hair and scalp feel very clean after using this and for fine hair like mine I'd recommend using it every other day - you really don't need to use it daily. It feels very restorative and not drying at all. The one nitpick I have is that the twist off top makes it hard to put off/on in the shower. :)

Genesis Shampoo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo worked well. The lather was nice and you don't need much to get a good lather all over your head. It's fragranced like a perfume which some people might not like but it's not a bad scent. The bottle is a little strange to hold since you have to unscrew the cap completely. I wish it had a pop top so I don't worry about knocking it over when the cap is off. But it did seem to work well to cleanse my hair. I noticed the scent on my hair into the day. My hair did seem a bit shinier throughout the day. It maybe was a bit drying since my hair seemed to feel a bit more like straw after using only this shampoo and the matching conditioner after a week but it didn't look like it was dry and it only felt dry right after blow drying my hair.

Good product but some flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product does leave my scalp and hair less oily, and definitely improved the damage. But, the scent is overpowering, and the screw top lid is difficult to open with wet hands.

Smells amazing and really sudsy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this and the conditioner as a free sample for product testing, and I was super excited because I've never tried a luxury hair care brand before. First, it smells amazing; Very floral and summery!! I also loved that I didn't have to use much to get a good lather. I've only used it 4-5 times, but I've noticed that by day 2, my hair's pretty oily (usually I can go about 3 days with my normal shampoo/conditioner). As far as the health of my hair, I haven't seen a huge improvement, but I'll continue to use the product until I'm done with it!

Amazing scent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this shampoo! I have very oily hair and after using Kerestase Genesis shampoo only 2 times I could see a big difference. Shampoo removes the sebum and pollution and very gentle on my scalp. My hair looks healthier, shiny and silky. I love the rich scent of bergamot and aromatic greens. The lather is great and easy to rinse. I would use this shampoo and recommend it .

Strong, Clean, Healthier Hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using this shampoo for the past two weeks, I've definitely noticed that my hair feels cleaner and lighter. I'm also finding that I'm cleaning less hair out of my brush after combing - so strengthening it is!! I really like this product. I do wish it helped volumize my hair a bit more though, but overall, it's solid!

Very gently on my scalp and lovely smell !

First of all, it cleans sebum and oil very well without irritate my scalp like other types of shampoos that I tried before. It also smells so great and lovely. I would purchase if needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kerastase sent me this free sample through the BzzAgent sampling program.I've only used it fot a week so far but i've been loving the way its made my hair feel so far. I have pretty thin and dull hair after all the times i've dyed my hair but it's made a big difference on repairing it. The only downside i'd say is the price of it, and the scent. It has a really strong overpowering fragrance to it and some people might not like it.
