TIMELESS PACKAGING DESIGNED TO LAST AND BE REFILLED


Elevated and committed: our new oils are redesigned to last. We recrafted our products to increase our refillablility offer. Our new refillable oils are made of 30% recycled glass bottle and 100% recycled plastic* refill.


*Except the cap, the pump, the label and colorants/additives.


WE ARE COMMITED TO REACH

100% RECYCLED PLASTIC BY 2030


Kérastase applies its innovative spirit to an entirely new shampoo delivery system. Available in six Kérastase ranges, our new refillable bottles and associated pouches are the ultimate proof of our commitment to the planet. The new pouches use 82%* less plastic, significantly reducing our environmental footprint. The bottles are 100% recyclable, redesigned to be refilled endlessly.

RESPONSIBLE FORMULAS

Kérastase is applying its spirit of innovation to improving formulas by integrating more sustainable raw materials and exploring green sciences to harness the power of nature without exhausting its resources.


From bio-based* ingredients such as centella asiatica to biotechnology** sourced actives like

hyaluronic acid and amino acid, our ambition is to combine the highest product efficacy with sustainable processes.


By 2030, Kérastase will use green science technologies in all its products.


In 2023, 63% of our ingredients are already biobased.


*A bio-based ingredient is a raw material developed from renewable organic matter.

**A green transformation, biotechnologies are production processes which obtain high-performance ingredients of natural origin, using living tools.

PRODUCING SUSTAINABLY


All our sites are using 100% renewable energies


Since 2015, our factory in Burgos, Spain, has reduced its C02 emissions by improving energy efficiency on-site and using 100% renewable energies thanks to a biomass power plant and solar panels.

Reducing water consumption


Since 2017, our Burgos, Spain, production facility has been a “waterloop factory.” This means that 100% of the water used for production processes is recycled and reused in a closed loop. External network water is only used in the composition of products or for employees’ day-to-day needs. In 2020, the factory saved 32 million liters of water.

SINCE 2015

|

Since 2015 our factory in Spain which produces 97% of our products, uses 100% renewable energies, with a waterloop system using 100% recycled water.

2022

In 2022, Kérastase launched refillable shampoos on a scale, with all retail shampoo bottles made of 100% recycled plastic.

2023

|

In 2023, 96% of the new launches are eco-designed, and the use of recycled plastic in our products helped to save 1110 tons of virgin plastic.
